The office made an appointment for 9:30 at 9:45 AM. We were prompt in getting there on time, filled out all documentation ahead of time since I was a first-time patient. They took my daughter first and had allocated a room for me to be seen after, even though my appointment was for 9:30am. After my daughter was seen, I was taken to my room to be then told, my appointment was canceled and need to be rescheduled. This office has lost all future business from my family. Horrible experience for a first time patient.

The building and office feel clean and new. The receptionists are friendly and efficient. The doctors performing the skin exams are warm, friendly and feel knowledgeable. It can be very difficult to reschedule annual exams (like no openings for 2-3 months) but they said they will take appointments for issues same-day or week. Haven't tested that theory!

Worst experience I have ever had with a medical billing department…read more After multiple phone calls and callbacks, I am now being held responsible for the full cost of a service despite having insurance. I provided updated insurance information, which was received by the office, yet the claim was never reprocessed. Instead, I discovered the issue one full year later when I received a bill in the mail for $271.00. I have been a patient of Dr. O'Connell for over eight years, and both of my daughters have also been treated at this practice. Unfortunately, this situation has left an extremely negative impression. I went out of my way to work with my insurance company to have the claim reprocessed, only to be told that it was rejected a year later because my old insurance allegedly denied it while "awaiting COBRA." Had anyone simply called me at the time, this could have been resolved immediately--especially since my daughter was actively being seen by the practice during that period. Instead, I am being punished for a billing failure that was completely out of my control. This charge is outrageous, the lack of communication is unacceptable, and after years of loyalty, I am finished with this practice.
