Came in desperate for a repair on my 2013 sedan after a different business stripped my drain plug…read morewhen I had come in for an oil change. Unfortunately they no longer manufactured the replacement I needed; yet instead of charging me $1400 for a more extensive repair, I overheard them (Derek, I think?) calling around many local businesses to find a part that would work. They were able to do that and change my oil for a grand total of just $120-- WAY less than I had feared. This was all accomplished in a very short timeframe (90 minutes?), too. I'm very grateful for their help!

I would rate 0 stars if I could. I brought my car in for a routine inspection. I ended up needing…read morenew brakes. I dropped my car off at 8:30 in the morning and was told it would be done by the end of the day. They didn't start my inspection until after 4pm, and then I get a call at 6:30pm saying they didn't have the right materials and I'd have to wait until 10am the following day to pick up my car. I went in the next day around 10am and it was not done yet. Then the technician changing my brakes comes to tell me that my parking brake motor broke and I'd have to purchase the new part. He said while trying to back my car up the parking brake kept locking up and my car would not move, and my parking brake light kept blinking and they could not get it to turn off. I asked how this part broke because I had no issues when I brought my car in. His response was "it just happens sometimes". Then it turns out I cannot purchase this part through PepBoys and I'd have to get it from a dealership. I waited there for 3 hours until they released my car. I kept asking what was taking so long and for updates and I just kept getting an "I'm not sure" or a "let me go check". After it was finally released, I asked the technician if my car was safe to drive, and he said yes. He said he took the motor apart and fixed it. He said I wouldn't have to get a new part cause he took it apart and put it back together. I then took my car to a different mechanic for a second opinion. There I found out that the technician actually broke and tampered with the parking brake motor and sensor clips. I have photo evidence of the broken parts. I tested my parking brake and it does not catch on one side and the light continues to blink. So at the end of the day, the technician at PepBoys broke a part of my car. I've called PepBoys eveyday since this occurred. After the first call the manager said he'd look into it and call me back. I never got a call back so I called again 3 hours later to check in and I was told the manager was on his lunch break. I've called everyday since and the manager refuses to respond to my calls. The men that work at this particular PepBoys do not take women seriously. I've been given every excuse in the book as to why the manager cannot come to the phone. I'm assured each time that he is looking into the issue and he "hasn't forgotten about you", yet I've never once been called back. DO NOT give these people your business or trust them with your vehicle.

We showed up at 2PM to drop off our vehicle and they said they couldn't take us. They explained that whoever scheduled the appointment from the off shore scheduling service didn't look at their availability. So we wasted our time diving there and then back home. Booked an appointment with another service provider.

I was quoted $204 for mounting and balancing tires I had already bought and doing an alignment…read more When I got there it was $350. They misquoted me by $70 on services and added $80 in additional fees that should have been included in their quote. They did not provide me with the detailed analysis of the alignment and when requested the tech wasn't there and said it would be emailed -- I have not received it (it has only been a couple of hours). The tech pulled in as I was getting in my car and it was then I found out that they didn't do the full alignment because the back end bolt wouldn't come off easily enough. The printer doesn't work so they couldn't give me a print out. They should have 1) called me when they realized their quote was wrong so I could go elsewhere (I had a $200 quote from elsewhere) and 2) they should have let me know there was a problem in doing the alignment. We called to request a refund, but were told that has to come from corporate. So we called corporate and were disconnected. When calling back they did not answer their phone and we had to leave a message. As of now there is no response. I am disappointed in the additional $150 I had to pay and feel that I am due $100 since I could have had it done for less than $250 elsewhere. I am asking that they will do a free full alignment with print out of results once I get the back end unfrozen. I cannot get Cranberry Township store nor corporate to answer my concerns -- we were disconnected and no one has called us back.
