We bought an $18,000 A/C unit from them 3 years ago and in the past 5 months, the boards have blown twice. The first time this happened, a tech came out, diagnosed the issue and had it fixed in 48 hours. Last week it blew again allegedly for a different reason and the "parts were ordered". So my elderly parents did Labor Day weekend in 90 degree temperatures inside. Having to sleep in 90 degree air after an $18,000 purchase is ridiculous. No one should be treated this way. It's been a week and all we hear when calling is "the parts have been ordered". Last time it took 48 hours to fix it, now it's been a week and do you know what ETA they gave us on parts being in? It'll be 3 more weeks before parts are likely to be in. Additionally, when the manager we spoke to learned about the situation, his first reply was that he didn't have A/C as a kid... not sure how that's relevant but I can take a guess as to what the intention was behind the remark and that's extremely unprofessional. Guests are coming to stay for several days and they'll have nothing to offer those guests but a stuffy room. This really is the bottom of the barrel service. To our knowledge, the techs that have come out are good at what they do, professional etc, but there's always an upsell and the product quality and management is an embarrassment. I will be recommending Arlinghaus heating and cooling from now on and the next unit will be from them.

As we were settling the bill James gets a call from his dad and after talking he hangs up and proceeds to hand me the receipt and says to me that his dad said to tell me that I can pay as much as I can when I can, but if I can't then to just consider it a gift. Customer service was absolutely fantastic and Tyler W. was accommodating and gave us clear explanations as to what was wrong. We received a text message with a picture of the employees so we knew who to expect and what they looked like. Arlinghaus has to send another worker out to discuss prices on a new furnace. Tyler was able to get our furnace working temporarily as we look into buying a new furnace. It cost $89 for him to come out and diagnose the problem. They will remove this from any extra work they may need to do. Unfortunately, in the end we could not afford even the lowest option they had for a furnace. They use a top furnace line brand and are more expensive then the national average. This was the only draw back for me that it was to expensive and I did not want to enter into a loan for a $7,000 furnace when the average homeowners pay is $3100. Regardless, they were transparent and did not pressure me into anything we didn't want to do. I highly recommend Arlinghaus for their professionalism and honesty with their customers.
