Was there the first week they opened. The food and service is what you'd expect from a Hynes restaurant. If you understand the theme then you'll understand the darkness/no windows. I didn't understand this initially as I did not check their website ahead of my visit. Regardless I still think it's too dark. It makes the place feel dingy and old but not in a way that makes you understand the theme. After all there is a tree and an aquarium so that was confusing. And large screen televisions??? So they need to decide which way there going. I don't think the name helps you to understand the theme. After all, there is a pizza place up the street with the word "Prohibition" in the title (and they have windows). If you are going to be "modern" with the big screen televisions then it won't hurt the theme by having a couple of windows. They could have thought about the theme and planned the atmosphere around that in a more appealing manner. We (my elderly mother and I) went for lunch. I base the service on how they treated her and they were great by that measure. But if you are going there with a time constraint it would be a problem. The service is too slow and I can't see why. It wasn't very busy. The food was mediocre tasting. The menu selection was small but diverse. However not diverse enough for me. Everything sounded too heavy and not a good choice for lunch. Sure, they have salads. I ordered a salad and mom had some soup. But even those two selections were mediocre in taste... We left confused, but happy to see some light!! read more

Brought our son and granddaughter today, they were extremely welcoming and very accommodating to us. Food is always amazing, service is awesome and since it was our sons birthday they gave us a chocolate desert a la mode that blew us away. Stopped by after a Bruins game on a Sunday night 7ish. Sat at the bar, there were 2 of us, hostess greeted us. Bartender came right to us an took our order, nice . Had a salad and short rib entree, split. Salad good and short rib was very good, balance of the plate give it a C. Problem is after we served, I got a Manhattan (good) my guest ordered a specialty drink (too sweet). Never saw our bartender the rest of the night , there were two on, and when I wanted to order another and clearly my date hadn't touched hers, it took about 12-15 minutes to flag the other bartender down to order. At that time I got my drink and when we asked for a water the waitress grabbed a glass and scooped it into the ice , is that a violation?, and placed it down and walked away. I'm not a picky customer, but you would like your server to come by and ask how is your meal, we would have ordered a glass of wine for my date, lost sale, and was just not happy with the service. I still tipped 20% although service was substandard and as we left we walked by the hostess stand and instead of saying good night, hope you enjoyed, she just turned around like we weren't there. Met some friends at Precinct 10 a few nights ago. Pros: Dining room: Food was very good. Tasty, and large portions. Server was terrific and was very attentive. I like the whole setup of the restaurant. Cons: Hostess and bar. Definitely a management issue! I approached the hostess station to discuss a table for our group. There were two young women standing at the station. One of the women had her finger/hand deep into her mouth (I believe she was digging something out of her back teeth). How gross!! I can't believe anyone in the food service industry would do this, but come on... a hostess??? The first person you see when you enter the establishment??? She should be fired. Ordered a Guinness draft at the bar. The bartender delivered it to me with a one-inch head, and the rest of the draft was nowhere nearly settled - it was still light brown and bubbly. She delivered it, and walked away. When another bartender was walking by, I asked her to top it off since a Guinness should never have a head like that. I believe she understood, took the drink away and cleared off the head and filled it to the top, and delivered it back to me. While she was topping it off, the other bartender was chatting with her. I assumed they were discussing the "proper pour" for Guinness (but apparently not...). So when I ordered my second Guinness, and was again given an improperly poured draft, I again sent it back. It was again topped off correctly and then served to me. If a bar is going to serve Guinness, the bartenders should know how to pour it. If the bartenders don't know how to pour it, I blame the manager. If the bartenders know how to pour it, but don't, I still blame the manger. Observed the two female bartenders (both cute, with long brown hair), running their fingers/hands through their hair on numerous occasions. Honestly.... What is it with women who must "comb" their hair with their fingers?? These gals were creating hairstyles and "combing" out their long hair while standing behind the bar! Where is the manager??? The hygiene issues at this restaurant are troubling! I don't plan to return. read more

The food and service were absolutely exemplary! The only downside was the wait. But, the food was well worth the wait. Best dining experience that we have ever had! The meatball appetizer was to DIE for. The smokehouse platter was also incredibly amazing. SO much food. Definitely enough to split as a couple. The prices were very fair as well. Came in on a Sunday afternoon, I would say a little after 2:00pm , as good as the food was and the drinks I couldn't get over the very slow service. The place was not busy at all and more than enough servers so why did it take 45 almost an hour to get a wedge salad and a sandwich? Delish! Went this past Wednesday. Two of us had steak tips. Done the way we asked and very flavorful. Started with tatertots poutine, OMG! The white sauce and pulled pork in the middle of "the pile" of tots, was great. My son got the baked Mac with the addition of sautéed buffalo chicken. Very tasty, and it could easily been shared with two salads and/or soup first. Our waitress, Christie, could not have been better. Focaccia and seasoned oil in the beginning, added to us leaving a bit full, but just repeating "that was delicious ". Would go more often (was an anniversary) if it was a bit cheaper, but it was a better value than most places. read more

Finally a very good restaurant has come to Weymouth. My husband and I have been waiting to try this place since it opened. When you walk in, there are 2 sets of beautiful brown doors followed by the prohibition/large speakeasy kind of place. Large TVs and the music/music videos really set the mood. We sat at the bar and received service right away. We were greeted by the menu, and this is why P10 only received 4 stars in my view. The dinner menu is missing some key items. First, the lunch burger should be on the dinner menu as well. We overheard a couple people ask for the burger and get denied. On a customer service note, their request should have been fulfilled. Ok, back to the menu. Also missing is a good flatbread, not a pizza but a flatbread. I can see myself coming just for drinks, sitting in the lounge area and eating light apps. Finally a small sandwich menu. During our dinner, we got the Cauliflower (TOO.DIE.FOR), my husband received the pork chop (massive) and I got the Mahi with asparagus risotto. The food was delicious. Definitely exceeded my expectations. My only suggestion, prices are fine, but bring down those portion sizes. Not usually a bad thing but the plates look like a Thanksgiving meal when everything is put on one plate. Overall a great experience and we can't wait to return! read more

Wife & I checked out Precinct 10 on a busy Saturday night. We were told there was a 2-hour wait for a table so we took a buzzer and said, "Let's grab one drink and if nothing opens up at the bar, we leave." Within 2 minutes we lucked out and got seats at the bar. We were VERY glad we got to stay... the bartender was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, and the food we ordered was very, very good (meatball appetizer, steak tips, & smoken chicken mac & cheese) and came out in a timely manner, even with how busy the restaurant was. The atmosphere was excellent, TVs everywhere in the bar area, and the lounge area was very cool too. It is loud in there when the place is full, but if the noise level won't bother you, this is definitely a top new place on the South Shore worth checking out. read more

Maybe because it's new, I was not too crowded or loud, though our waitress was very busy. The service was fab (I am a server thus critical). The wine was yum and in happy glasses and not silly little ones. The cauliflower app is the best and the mini rib app fell off the bones. The food really wasn't very good. My husband got the NY Strip and could barely eat it because the outside was burned (he ordered it medium). I got the fried chicken and ate exactly none of it because it wasn't crispy it was mushy and seemed a bit undercooked...it's fried chicken! Crispy is a requirement. The pickles it came with were delicious though. We also got appetizers. Calamari was standard/average but the poutine tater tots were mush. I tried our friend's Mac and cheese and it had a very smokey taste (not my thing). I'm giving three stars because the staff was fantastic. Our waitress was so kind and attentive despite how busy they were. Even the manager came by and said hi. All in all I won't go back because the food wasn't good. They have a relatively small menu so you would hope that what they have on there would be really good. Went there for lunch with friends on Saturday. We didn't have to wait, seated right away. We liked the atmosphere and the decor. Noise level was fine. We all liked our food. We had a mothers day reservation at 4:30. When we arrived, they told us they were just getting our table Ready. No big deal, we went to the bar had a round of drinks and dropped 70 $75. We are finally seated at 5:15. Our waitress was wonderful and our food was great. However, it took us about an hour to receive our courses. She was very slow coming back to refill drinks. Once again no big deal, we thought Mother's Day rush. When she cleared our plates we asked for another round of drinks and a dessert menu. This is where it gets interesting. The manager on duty came over to us and told us people are waiting for our seat, he booked them every two hours, and that if we want to desert we would have to move the lounge area with no tables or bring our dessert home. He was rude. When we explained to him that we had spent over $500 at his establishment, had waited 45 minutes for out reservation an over an hour for our food, He was less than understanding and downright rude. He went as far to say well I didn't tell you had to get up and leave. But that's exactly what he had told us. Needless to say we didn't stay for dessert, and we wont be back again. read more

My first experience here was pretty good, but my last two visits was very disappointed. Two weeks ago I went in for lunch with couple of friends, the waitress was very friendly, my friends ordered pasta and I ordered steak tips ( medium ) the steak I got it was Rare so the waitress took it back and said " is better when is under cooked than burned right? " not sure what that was supposed to mean. Anyway, by the time my food came back, I was already full because i had some of my friends food. My last visit was this past Saturday September 22 around 7pm, even though they had open tables, I had to wait over an hour to sit down with my husband, he ordered sirloin and I ordered the stuffed lobster. I was almost asleep by the time our food got to our table, what really surprised me was after waiting for almost one hour for the food, my lobster was chewy so gross, so was the scallops, and the pasta was well done. I was so tired of being there for 3 hrs that I had no energy to complain, the waitress noticed I didn't even touched my food so I told her I was just full and would like to take it to go. I still can't understand how your chef and cooks don't know how to cook a lobster and angel hair properly. Very disappointed, oh and looked like there was two managers on duty on the sales floor, one of them kept walking around my table looking at us not eating but didn't bother asking how was everything? and was a time where we couldn't find our waitress and when she came to our table after her disappearance, she smelled like cigarettes. My husband and I went here on a Wednesday night for his birthday. When we walked in the place was pretty much empty but I didn't expect much for a weeknight. We ordered our drinks and they were pretty good then we proceeded to order the appetizer, eggplant Napoleon. It was okay nothing spectacular. You also get complimentary bread and oil which was good. My husband requested a burger that is featured on the lunch menu called the big mc10 burger and I got the brisket bolognese. My husbands entree was almost inedible I think the burger was left over from lunch and just reheated it looked that bad. He ordered it medium and it was very well done. We're the type of people that never ever send food back and we had to this time. Our server was kind of accommodating but proceeded to tell us that everybody loved that burger and then gave some random excuse that temperatures aren't taken with this type of burger blah blah blah. She seemed baffled that we were sending the food back which was kind of annoying we just wanted something else. Nonetheless, the manager came over and offered my husband another burger that he ordered medium. The burger came and it was much better looking than the previous however, it was still barely cooked 'medium'. We were comped for the original burger that we sent back but were charged for the 'replacement'. I feel like my husband's meal should have been comped for the burger fiasco. The bolognese was kind of weird it had big chunks of brisket in it and just wasn't a bolognese it was like a weird slop of pasta thrown in with some pieces of beef . This place is just confused as other reviews have stated. This place is trying to be something it's not...its a pretentious food establishment with subpar cuisine in a suburban strip mall. It's too bad I really wanted to love this place but I definitely won't be going back. read more

We went there last Saturday for a birthday celebration. We had a 10 month old baby with us. The first impression was good - we were sited immediately and attended right away. And the good ended here. The waitress presented us with specials but did not know what meat cut the special consisted of. She was pushy to get a dinner order, she asked 3-4 times if we were ready in the span of 10 minutes! Yet ultimately, she ended up forgetting to ring it in! It took her 40 minutes after we finished eating our appetizers to let us know she did not order our food. And it took another 35 minutes from there to get the food (we had our steaks cooked medium-rare so there is no justification!!). At that point the baby was getting tired and fussy, we had to take the food to go. As an apology, the management took the appetizer off the bill - $15 meat and cheese board. The management also offered a free beer to my boyfriend despite knowing we were trying to leave and he would not be able to drink it. They did charge him for the first beer he had. They also charged us for the dinner we had to wait for, for over an hour and had to take to go. Needless to say, we are not coming back to this restaurant. If you are looking for an exceptional service you should stay away from this place! read more
