RRRRRUUUUUNNNNNNN!!!!
I have been a patient for about 35 years. I wish I could give
them zero stars!
Approximately 4 years ago, upon their referral I had tooth extraction and implant for a replacement crown on a molar. No unusual events. Surgeon released me for new crown.
2 years ago, after paying $2400 (in advance) for my crown, the PWD dentist, Dr Moore, using a miniature torque wrench, screwed the crown mounting stud into the threaded implant ..and spun the entire the surgically installed implant in my jaw bone. I literally felt the metal assembly spin in my jaw! He must have felt it.
The next day I told him the tooth was loose, came in and he said the problem was I needed a root canal on the adjacent tooth. I made appt with another dentist for the new procedure, only to have the tooth literally fall out into my hand....no root canal required, 3 days later! I brought it into office and gave it to the office mgr who only said "it didn't take". No instructions on what to do, no apology, nothing. Ever.
Over the next 2 years, I went thru 4 major add'l full anethesia surgical procedures, and a dozen or so 50 mi Elgin/Naperville round trips over the next two years, the surgeon advised Prairie Walk of all the additional procedures via email and snail mail. The oral surgeon performed all procedures without additional charge or complaint and was magnificent in the process!
In 2020 I went to PWD to have my teeth cleaned and a sensitive tooth checked. The x-ray tech COULD NOT OPERATE THE X-RAY MACHINE. After 4-5 failed attempts the dentist had to show him how. Dentist couldn't find the sensitivity cause and nobody even mentioned the cleaning.
This year, I politely advised PWD that I would like to get a refund for the botched implant procedure as I no longer had confidence....The office mgr ducked my calls for weeks and finally that there would be NO refund and NO add'l procedures. She cowardly had the receptionist deliver the final news. Yes, it was the same office manager from 2 years prior. They took my money and gave me the middle finger.
I would have thought that $2400 would have been chump change, problem solved, unhappy patient, placated. Draw your own conclusions. I can only warn you how they treated me after 30 years! Most of the old employees are no longer there....except the mgr.
You have been warned. read more
