Beware. I was a patient here for about 10 yesrs. I wanted basic care, such as cleanings. They wanted to do so much more. One time claiming I needed a crown. They said two adjacent teeth needed crowns. My insurance company strongly disagreed, and wouldn't approve the second tooth. Dr. Beri frequently uses equipment and procedures not covered by insurance. My feeling is he wants to maximize the number of crowns and similar replacements to help with the ROI on all the equipment he has. When I first started here, there were at least 7 to 10 people in this office. Today, 2-3. I do not recommend this office. read more

This place wowed me with their holistic approach and I went for a year or so. Finally was convinced to have some old metal fillings removed and replaced with some sort of porcelain. Well, after that, the tooth hurt. And a month later it still hurt. And at least 3 months later it still hurt. I went back there to complain after at l;east 3 months later months and I was told that it was nothing to be concerned about unless heat or cold started bothering it. That it was the nerve and it should go away. Dr. Beri was defensive and also aloof that this was because of the dental work. Over a year later, a year full of almost daily migraines, sinus issues, fatigue and other stuff here I sit having gone to another dentist this morning, who advised me that the filling put in my tooth was entirely too big, that the tooth was completely infected, and I have to have a root canal. When they got in there, she said it was full of infection. So, I have had an infected tooth/root whatever for at least a year, and had I gone back to this place again I still don't think they would have addressed it. My kids had their last examination there two weeks ago and we will not return. Thanks for the now $500+ expense due to carelessness and not listening to your patient. THREE MONTHS after the procedure and something should have been done. At a minumum, recognized the filling was too entirely big. I really appreciate this extra expense. read more

I was searching for a good surgeon to get rid of five teeth-four of which were wisdom teeth. I was unbelievably scared and worried. I had many consultations trying to find a confident dentist who will do it at a reasonable price. I finally found Wheaton Cosmetic Dentistry and was extremely satisfied. Such comforting and professional staff. Wonderful people, I am so thankful! It did cost me a lot of money but it doesn't matter because I didn't have to worry about complications. I have been a patient of Dr. Beri's since early 2000's. Best dental practice I have ever been to! Dr. Beri and staff are always courteous and pleasant! I originally needed to see him due to some very painful and infected gums impacted for my lower wisdom teeth. Dr. Beri took the time to explain all my options before the procedure. He has since taken care of all my dental needs. I have referred other people and they too have been very pleased with the cosmetic results and simple dental procedures. My son has been seeing with him since he was a toddler. One time his two front teeth were injured due to a fall and Dr. Beri saw us same day no appointment needed. The office even called for a followup to see how he was doing. Each experience has always been a pleasant one. read more

I found this practice via a website which stated that Dr. Sumeet Beri specialized in safe removals of old metal fillings. When I called the office, the staff was unable to answer my questions and I was encouraged to make an appointment to speak with the Dr. Beri directly. As soon as I entered the office for my evaluation, I was concerned. I noticed the office uncleanliness and disorganization immediately, which made me nervous. After waiting a long time, the interaction I had with Dr. Beri left much to be appreciated. He really did a glance over and agreed that I did need to get the broken metal fillings replaced. He then asked his hygienist to check my gums, and before I knew it, she was doing her perio scaling. Since I had been evaluated at the Midwestern Dental Clinic just 3 weeks prior, I found it odd that she said I had "pockets" on many of my teeth. I left paying $50.00 out-of-pocket to be told I could not receive any help from the Doctor until my teeth were given a deep cleaning. It was not a pleasant experience. Because I really did need help with my teeth, I decided that maybe my first visit's lack of quality was a fluke and I would give Dr. Beri's office another chance with a treatment appointment. Big mistake! Initially I was told I had so many "pockets" in my gums that I would need two visits to get everything taken care of before Dr. Beri could begin to work on my area of concern, the safe removal of the broken metal fillings. When I returned a week later for the deep cleaning, I wasn't sure what to expect because I never had an issue with my gums prior to this office. The treatment room was also dirty and the patient chair was torn in several places. The hygienist didn't say much, but did tell me that I would NOT NEED a second cleaning because it wasn't as bad as she initially thought and the visit shouldn't take long at all. She then put a local anesthetic at the base of 3 of my teeth, took a scraping tool and spent about 3 minutes "deep cleaning", did a quick polish, a floss (which she broke part of one of my fillings off while doing), and sent me on my way. I was shocked at how fast she was done. It was much shorter than a traditional cleaning and I had been expecting a longer visit. The office girls seemed confused on how to charge me and asked if I would like to just leave my credit card on file so they could figure out the cost and process with insurance prior to charging me. I am SO happy I chose to pay up front and NOT leave my card information with them. I left that day with a receipt showing that I had prophylaxis (a cleaning) and deep cleaning on three specific teeth. My bill showed that my account was paid in full and my balance was zero. After considering what I received on the appointment, and how much I had to pay, I concluded that the office mislead me to believe I needed that service when I really did not! So, I called to inform the office I would be going elsewhere for dental care. In February of 2014, I received a bill from Dr. Beri stating that I had a remaining balance on my account. I didn't understand the bill because all it stated was an account balance forward. Since I still had my receipt showing my balance as paid in full, I sent a copy to the office and asked for a detailed email or postal mailing to show me what the charge was for. Instead of that, I received a voice mail from the office assistant, Debbie, which was both unprofessional and rude telling me that I could call her if I didn't understand the bill. About a week later, I received a Humana claim which was just processed for a prophylaxis treatment on that day of service from Dr. Beri's office. I was really confused why they had just submitted a claim for something 3 months after the service. I also had the previous claim which my insurance had covered a large portion of the deep cleaning procedure. When I contacted Humana, I was told that they had denied the recent claim for a prophylaxis because an office cannot perform 2 different types of cleaning on the same visit. Basically, if they are already deep cleaning in my mouth, they cannot go in and do a traditional cleaning as well because it would be redundant. I understood that Humana would not cover the same procedure twice on the same visit, but could not understand why the dental office would be charging me for something I didn't actually receive. Upon calling Debbie to inquire as to why I was charged for the same service twice, she said that "their office reserves the right to charge patients whatever they feel is necessary." They do not have to follow any guidelines set forth by insurance, etc. I am appalled. I may be left paying for something 3 months after leaving their office, for a service I didn't actually need or receive, but I hope to prevent others from falling into this same trap. It is my full belief that this practice is a misleading and dishonest office which is NOT concerned the patients needs. read more

I was referred to this office by a friend of mine. I was very happy with my experience. Dr Beri listened to all of my concerns and gave me several options to treat my on going problems. I will definitely go back to this office. read more

He suggested I needed a LOT of dental work. I had been with my previous dentist for years before that who never mentioned I need that work so I suspected it wasn't correct. I went to another dentist after going to this dentist who gave me a clear check up. I wouldn't get near this place again. read more
