After waiting for 20 minutes, the tech called me up to check my ID, and only THEN informed me that the fingerprint machine is not working. It's BROKEN. They told me to call the company that made the appointment and let them know as they had no way to communicate with that company. That's a LOAD OF CRAP! When I called the company, they were shocked that they hadn't heard from LabCorp, since it's LabCorp's responsibility to report any issues with equipment. I ended up having to travel to another company's lab a few miles away to have my scan done. What a complete WASTE OF TIME! Don't bother with this location.

I visited this LabCorp location on Saturday October 26, planning to have a battery of doctor…read moreordered tests done. I expected a professional well kept office with facilities similar to those at the doctors I have been to. I arrived to a waiting room that seemed adequate, though most of the framed signs and announcements were hanging crookedly on the wall. I had an appointment which I was about 5 minutes late for. I waited about 25 minutes to be seen. When I went back to begin testing the examination room had a very odd shallow yet wide bar height seat for drawing blood, which seemed to serve no practical purpose other than the moveable arms. It was uncomfortable, causing my legs to hang a good 6 inches above the floor, with the shallow seat sloping down so I felt the seat wasn't enough to sit on and I was sliding off it. The clock on the wall was stuck at 5pm there. I sat for about 5 minutes before a nurse returned with a paper cup and told me she needed to collect a urine sample. The nurse half refused to tell me where the restroom was at when I asked, simply saying "that way" pointing down the hallway. It was down the hallway and around a corner, and once I was inside the bathroom I was quite sorry I'd bothered. The toilet was completely clogged up, from the looks of it probably overnight, the nurse claimed only 3 people had used it that day, which at 10:30am made sense. The sink was covered in scotch tape, which was wrapped around it many times to prevent anyone from using it. I returned to the examination room to question the nurse about all these thing and leave as this was not acceptable professional lab conditions and I felt unsafe staying. She claimed that the sink being taped up was for all the drug testing, and that made sense on one level. However it is not sanitary and without even hand sanitizer there for those who are forced to use the bathroom (it is the only womens one, with only a single mens room otherwise) this is particularly troubling. I left immediately after speaking to the nurse, asking for my paperwork back. Her excuses for most of the conditions were simply "this isn't the location I normally work at." Please avoid this facility if possible. It seems to simply be a cheap drug testing mill that is no longer keeping true lab conditions.

I explained that my doctor's office was unable to draw my blood after expressing difficulties finding veins and that I was used to this issue. I also expressed that I was a bit nervous, but the tech was quick getting the needle in and drawing all the required blood. I barely felt the needle and it was over before I knew it; the entire process was completed before my scheduled appointment time even started. It's easy to tell this tech has a lot of experience, thank you for hiring quality people!

A doctor's office tends to forget to send lab orders frequently so they have managed to fit me in when I do get the orders. The techs I have had have all been excellent. I have difficult veins and every time I go here they always get me the first time. So I am not sure where they were trained but they are better than other LabCorps. They have private rooms for the blood draws so that makes you more comfortable. The waiting room is now shared with a physical therapy office. Check the hours before you go, as they are closed for lunch.

Recently…read morethey have increased their hours so that if you are ill on the weekend your Family Doctor can order labs on Saturday AND SUNDAY !! Likewise if you need to have a lab order already in the system completed, you can go on the weekend when they are not very busy and crowded, thus lessening your exposure during the Pandemic . NOTE: Currently the Rex Hosp. Outpatient Lab closes at 1 P.M. Sat. and Sunday. M-F the Hospital site Outpatient Lab closes at 6 PM It's Cary Outpatient Lab closes at 5 M-F and is NOT open Sat -Sun. This is a really big deal . Before if you needed lab work on the weekend your Family Doc. had to send you to an Urgent Care with the related increase in expense . The majority of the lab staff are pleasant and good at what they do Rex has made some unfortunate decisions regarding throat and nasal cultures that may require a visit to Labcorp instead, but for the most part I highly rec Rex Outpatient labs . Further praise :Rex Hospital Labs do an an excellent job at turn around times on labwork and the results are often available much more quickly than from its competitors

The online registration is easy and there is no appointment necessary. Rick greeted us at the front and provided the test kits. We then sat in the line until provided the test tube and label. We swabbed ourselves and were done in less than 5 minutes. Very organized and simple. We had to return today after receiving inconclusive test results for my daughter. Rick took time to do a tutorial with my daughter that would avoid any inconclusive results. He took his time to walk us through how to swab for accuracy. This was very kind and helpful to us. I was quite appalled as to how incredibly rude she was to my friend, who had an abundance of questions . She had never received a test prior to this. we were out to do some shopping and she needed to get her test done, for a pending flight to visit her ill brother . this young lady had a very poor attitude my friend had heard bad things about being tested and was nerve racked. I had assured her that it would be OK as I myself have been tested before through your testing site in fountain. it makes me very upset that when people are scared and have to have this done in order to fly, that your staff treats individuals poorly. this should not be the case.I hope that there is training for the people you use to staff your testing facilities in order to provide better care to the communities, especially with us older folk, who are very frightened with what is going on in the world around us. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but nonetheless, this does nor excuse her behavior . I will find out what other places are available in order to avoid such issues in the future. She has since received results, but I would have rather paid for her to go elsewhere, in order to have avoided how she was treated. My dad's doctor required blood work so they sent me to this lab. You can make an appointment but…read moreit's not required so we walked in at 12:30. There was no one waiting when we got there and we were greeted by the sweetest lady named Regina. She had us just check in by entering patients name and birthday into an iPad. She took us back, pulled the blood, and we were done. We were in and out all within 15 minutes. Regina was super nice and very gentle with my dad. Overall great experience.
