Today, April 17th, 2025, around 4:30pm to pick up paperwork signed by my awesome doctor. Two employees were at the front desk having a conversation while I walked in and their was no acknowledgement. I stood there patient ly waiting and still no one said a word to me. So I had to stand there for over 5 minutes for them to finish their conversation before the employee sitting at the desk asked how she could help. I stated my name and it took her a split second to hand me the paperwork signed by my awesome doctor. Both of these employees were discouteous, and unprofessional. They both need remedial training on how to treat patients when they enter the doctors office. I have been visiting this office (Dr. Tang) for several years now. The front desk staff can be slow in responding at times but overall the service is fast and friendly and the physicians are very knowledgeable. The staff at this location has helped me out several times in a pinch. On one occasion I needed a copy of an x ray for an appointment the following morning and called at 4pm. I got an answering machine and left a message knowing that I had missed the time frame but was called back immediately by a staff member. She informed me that she happened to hear the message and knew it was important so she wanted to call and let me know they would make the copy available for me to pick up the next morning. Most recently I have had difficulties with a specific provider to which I was referred. This office has a separate referral coordinator which handles these types of situations and was very friendly and helpful even apologizing profusely for something that was not her fault and over which she had no control. In addition to speeding up the response I received from the referral she offered to refer me to a different provider if it would make me more comfortable. As an added benefit all records are securely maintained online. When an appointment is made, you will receive an email reminder about the appointment. You will also receive a login to your health portal which allows you to see the results of any labs or procedures. Often these results will be accompanied by an annotation from the doctor explaining what the results mean and whether follow up is necessary. This office is also a member of the Duke Medical network and other offices within this network are able to also see your results on line which makes it very convenient when you are referred to a specialist (they have instant access to the history, tests, and diagnosis that led to your referral). The office also includes lab and x ray facilities (not just in the building, actually located in the office itself) so virtually any tests ordered can be completed within the same trip in the convenience of one location. I have been to this practice utilizing their services as my primary care physician since I moved to Wake Forest. I wish I had a better reason to have chosen them other than that I am a huge Duke fan and they are affiliated with Duke and are 5 minutes from my house. Oh well.... I wish the nurses could treat you because they were the best at this location. Every nurse I have ever spoken to or dealt with has been kind and compassionate- especially when you go in feeling like death when the flu got you, despite having received the flu shot. My dr, Dr. Solliman was good, she didn't ever spend a lot of time with me as this place is overbooked all day. I usually had to wait at least 30 minutes to be called back to the back, then 15-20 to be seen by the dr. What brings me to leaving this practice is that I called this morning to make my annual checkup appt and was told that my Dr. left the practice. Like the other reviewers, I was shocked I could not at least get a call re: this. I do not like going from dr to dr so I am at a crossroads of wondering if I should leave this less that par office to find another dr or keep my records here and feel like cattle when I go in and wait to be shuffled to the back, etc. I'm not happy. I hope that they get their crap together soon or they will be losing a lot more patients as seen by the Yelp reviews here. read more

Great experience on my very first visit. From the person I spoke with on my initial phone call, to the receptionist, to the nurse, to the x-ray technician, to the lab tech, to the actual doctor everyone was professional and very friendly. Everyone seems to really care about the customer experience. They all act like they really love their jobs and enjoy helping people. Dr Troiano is great and gives you a good feeling that his diagnosis and advice is rock solid. This place is close to my new home and I needed a quick physical for work. Went in and was greeted by a very nice receptionist, saw a great, caring, welcoming nurse and seen by Dr. Patel. He was great, seems laid back, yet thorough in his care....seems genuine, which is hard to come by these days. I will be going back. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that the place could use some updating (new paint job on the walls, new fixtures, etc). It looks a tad dated which some people may equate to dirty. read more

I had been going to Duke Primary Care in Wake Forest for at lease 10 years. I made an appt. to see Dr. Carter there on 1/12/17 for cold/ sore throat symptons. She called in me a prescription call amoxicillin. I was feeling so bad, I didn't even think to ask her what type of medicine she was calling in for me, well when I got to the pharmacy, I said man, I didn't even think about telling her I have had this medicine before and it don't work well for me, this was on a Thursday that I had seen the doctor. I went ahead and started the medicine hoping I couold get some relief. I took the medicine on Thursday- Sunday and no relief, thinking I would call the doctors office on that Monday only to find out It was an Holiday. I called that Tuesday and left a message, I would like the doctor to call me something else in, because this medicine is not working well for me, i didn't receive a call back and the nurse said there were no message for me in the system. I called back on that Wednesday, left another message, I then got a response back from the nurse, told her what my problem was and ask if Dr. Carter could call me another antibiotics, she stated, Dr. Carter said no the only way I could get another antibiotics is to come back into the office. I stated it's only been 5 -6 days, I have no different symptons, the medicine is not working for me, the Dr. advised the nurse to let me know she was still not calling another antibotic in for me and if I felt that bad, to get some medicine over the counter and use warm salt and water. REALLY! that's what you tell a patient with high blood pressure???? Is this office that money hungry! I don't have copay! I have to meet a $3000 deductible.All I am asking for is another antibitoic, I didn't ask for nothing with codeine, nothing that needs a signature to pick up, but again the answer was NO. I still have the same symptons, it is a little better, because I have bought everything possible over the counter, but I still need an antibitoic because what I bought didn't cure the problem, because the first doctor didn't care enough, I am going to have to find another provider for a different antibitoic, and I am in search of another primary care because I dare not give you another dime not one brown penny. Im in search of someone that cares how I feel and is not just after getting paid I called the office manager Monica, she advised she would call me back by the end of the day, to only find out, she had not plan to call me back at all, I called her at lease 5 times. and finally she answered my call to let me know she spoke w/ the team and again, Dr. Carter is not going to give you another anibiotic. I thin called the patient complaint and was told I will give you a call back, left me speak w/ the Dr. that is over Dr. Carter and I will call you back, well GUESS WHAT? I have not got a call back. . Why bother when there are much better practices in the area? My wife stopped coming here a while back out of frustration, but I thought that all offices were the same. Boy was I wrong. The staff here is impatient and incompetent. I made an appointment and showed up on time only to be told it was canceled. They weren't even able to tell me who canceled it and how. When I was finally able to get in there, I couldn't even get one of the limited doctors available, I saw a P.A. who tossed a script at me and sent me on my way. I wound up in the emergency room later that night. Interacting with the staff thereafter has been a nightmare. They treated me like my needs were an inconvenience to them. The place is always empty yet the waits are really long. Asking them to transfer records from a hospital or another docs office and you might as well have asked the nearest brick wall. If you're looking for a doctor, this place might have some great ones, but actually getting to them could be more trouble than its worth. read more
