She looked at my right ear only said I did not have an ear infection. And, to start taking Sudafed. She never looked at my left ear. Never felt my throat. Did not listen to my lungs. Then told me she suffers from ear ringing herself on the daily. I will be going to another place for my urgent care needs.

For the past few weeks I had been having severe nausea lasting several hours at a time as well as occasional sharp pains in my upper chest when I went to see her. She knew my neurologist has been treating me for migraines and also that I'm taking a generic over-the-counter pill that includes 250 mg. of aspirin which, if I'm having two headaches in one day, is 1000 mg. Although she is ordering an ultrasound to make sure it's not my gallbladder causing my health issues, she feels that the amount of aspirin I am taking (until the once-a-month shot my neurologist has just prescribed for me takes effect), is causing my extreme nausea and pain. She has prescribed Prilosec and as she said what she thought is causing my problem it immediately made sense to me. And her young assistant and office staff are just as attentive and helpful as Dr. Nasir.

(My dignity is still intact!) My wait time was only about 15 minutes (due to my own paperwork). They were able to get me generic prescriptions, which was very much appreciated, and were very knowledgeable with wound care and took the time to answer any questions. We all hate getting sick, so I won't say that I had a blast at Tremont. I will say, however, that for an urgent care, they are probably the best in Raleigh.

Dr. Tope took time to answer my questions and never showed impatience or scorn about anything I said or asked (which frequently happens to me with most doctors). The nurses were friendly and explained everything to me and made me feel at ease with shots, etc. They don't take insurance, but you can pay with an HSA or flex-spending card (there is one exception that I don't remember so I would call first to find out if they take your card). Very happy with this place- it's the only Urgent Care I'll use from here on out!

I witnessed her patience dealing with a situation with someone in the waiting area. The PA my son saw was the same PA that stitched my finger last year. He provided thorough care and explained to both of us the best ways to treat the problem. He even took extra time to look up my records from last year to clarify a question my primary doctor had about that visit. The waiting area was clean & comfortable, except a few chairs that were peeling, and Wi-Fi was available, if needed.

Patients of the practice have the benefit of utilizing an online "patient portal" which allows you track and make appointments, medication, immunization records and everything else! Super convenient for forgetful moms like me. As a bonus, the practice is open something like 360+ days out of the year which makes it super convenient to get in and see someone at the last minute. Only negative I can think of is the waiting room layout--there's a "sick" and a "healthy" side. The front desk isn't very good about reminding patients about the room distinction and the signs they have on the wall are not very noticeable--pay attention especially during cold and flu season.
