I explained that my doctor's office was unable to draw my blood after expressing difficulties finding veins and that I was used to this issue. I also expressed that I was a bit nervous, but the tech was quick getting the needle in and drawing all the required blood. I barely felt the needle and it was over before I knew it; the entire process was completed before my scheduled appointment time even started. It's easy to tell this tech has a lot of experience, thank you for hiring quality people!

No matter how much water I drank, it just wouldn't happen. So, they told me they were going to be closing soon & that I could go across the street to do it at Any Lab Test Now. I drove on over & there were 3 people ahead of me and only one employee, but he was very efficient. I should've gone there at first because the experience was just better. I could "go", but days later I was told by the employer that my urine was too diluted because of all the water I was drinking at Quest, and I had to do it again. I went straight back to the place & was in and out in no time. I highly recommend this location.

The UNC Rex Hospital Lab of Wakefield is located across from the UNC Rex Urgent Care but the…read morebuilding is all connected so you can still get there if you are coming from the back entrance or the second or third floors, just take the hallway from the elevators and walk down the hallway. The staff is friendly here and when you check in they will pull up your doctor's orders and get your insurance all set up to pay for the labs. The only issue is this is billed as a hospital charge rather than a labs charge so that means a bigger expense with my insurance. Your plan might not bill you differently. There are a few chars in the waiting area and in the back there are 4-5 chairs where they will take your blood. All your information is verified again before they start. My veins are difficult but I have had good experiences here with the phlebotomists finding a good vein to use. So that is why I don't get too bothered when I am sent to this lab even though it costs a little more.

So glad I did!Kawania was extremely professional and competent at her job, as well as warm and personable. She is great with people, and drew my blood faster and cleaner than anyone ever has- no poking and prodding. We chatted some, and she told me this is a new business that she is hoping to take full-time, but currently still working full-time for a different laboratory, and doing this part-time. She is a one woman crew, which means you'll have consistency in good communication from making the appointment to drawing the blood in person. I learned that she's a mother, veteran, and woman of color-- and most importantly, just seems like an incredibly kind, sincere, hard working person who clearly has a big heart. Starting a business is really hard, and I wanted to do my part and helping to get her name out, so I listed her business just now and I'm leaving this review. I hope you'll give her a try. I had an appoitment for 11 AM this morning for getting my fingerprints scanned only for a…read morebackground check for a new position at work. I arrived and checked in 15 minuets early. After waiting for 20 minutes, the tech called me up to check my ID, and only THEN informed me that the fingerprint machine is not working. It's BROKEN. They told me to call the company that made the appointment and let them know as they had no way to communicate with that company. That's a LOAD OF CRAP! When I called the company, they were shocked that they hadn't heard from LabCorp, since it's LabCorp's responsibility to report any issues with equipment. I ended up having to travel to another company's lab a few miles away to have my scan done. What a complete WASTE OF TIME! Don't bother with this location.

I visited this LabCorp location on Saturday October 26, planning to have a battery of doctor…read moreordered tests done. I expected a professional well kept office with facilities similar to those at the doctors I have been to. I arrived to a waiting room that seemed adequate, though most of the framed signs and announcements were hanging crookedly on the wall. I had an appointment which I was about 5 minutes late for. I waited about 25 minutes to be seen. When I went back to begin testing the examination room had a very odd shallow yet wide bar height seat for drawing blood, which seemed to serve no practical purpose other than the moveable arms. It was uncomfortable, causing my legs to hang a good 6 inches above the floor, with the shallow seat sloping down so I felt the seat wasn't enough to sit on and I was sliding off it. The clock on the wall was stuck at 5pm there. I sat for about 5 minutes before a nurse returned with a paper cup and told me she needed to collect a urine sample. The nurse half refused to tell me where the restroom was at when I asked, simply saying "that way" pointing down the hallway. It was down the hallway and around a corner, and once I was inside the bathroom I was quite sorry I'd bothered. The toilet was completely clogged up, from the looks of it probably overnight, the nurse claimed only 3 people had used it that day, which at 10:30am made sense. The sink was covered in scotch tape, which was wrapped around it many times to prevent anyone from using it. I returned to the examination room to question the nurse about all these thing and leave as this was not acceptable professional lab conditions and I felt unsafe staying. She claimed that the sink being taped up was for all the drug testing, and that made sense on one level. However it is not sanitary and without even hand sanitizer there for those who are forced to use the bathroom (it is the only womens one, with only a single mens room otherwise) this is particularly troubling. I left immediately after speaking to the nurse, asking for my paperwork back. Her excuses for most of the conditions were simply "this isn't the location I normally work at." Please avoid this facility if possible. It seems to simply be a cheap drug testing mill that is no longer keeping true lab conditions.
