I have taken my truck to this shop on three separate occasions. The first two experiences were acceptable, although the repair times were very lengthy.
For my most recent visit, I scheduled an appointment but accidentally missed it after confusing the dates in my calendar. I called, apologized, and explained the mistake. Jim agreed to have me bring the truck in on August 31, 2026, which I did. The truck needed a diagnosis for a check engine light and a noise that sounded like a loose belt.
I was told I would receive a call the next day, but I did not hear anything. I waited more than a week before sending a polite text message asking for an update. My message went unanswered. Over the following weeks, I sent a total of a few follow-up texts because the truck was my only means of transportation and I was spending a significant amount of money on Uber rides while waiting for information.
On September 11, I was told I would receive a call on September 14, but no call came. Additional messages asking for updates were either ignored or received very brief responses. By September 25, after 26 days without a diagnosis, I reached out again because I needed information for work-related travel commitments.
Instead of receiving an update on my truck, I received a phone call during which Jim became very upset about my follow-up messages and my previously missed appointment. Although I apologized again and explained that I did not realize the published business number was also his personal phone, the conversation became increasingly hostile and ended with him telling me to pick up my truck.

My main issue was not the repair delay itself, but the lack of communication and the way I was treated when I requested updates. read more
