Have been going to power cycle 2-3 times a week for a month now and have had an amazing experience…read more I am newer to cycling and intense cardio in general and I love love love this. First, booking is extremely easy with their power cycle app. You can see what type of ride it's going to be, who the instructor is, and even pick your bike location in the room which is great. When you arrive, you are always met by a friendly face at the front desk. They'll check you in, remind you of your bike location, and offer you the shoes that clip into the bike. I was hesitant to wear the rented shoes but they seem to do a really good job cleaning them. Their facility overall, from the lockers to the bikes to the bathrooms, is always very clean and bright. I love the white minimalist aesthetic. After going into the cycling room, you'll realize the aesthetic is more moody. The room is dimly lit with a purple glow and the lights change throughout the ride which is kind of party like and fun. There are screens that show you how fast + heavy you're cycling throughout the class, and it's a good guide to stay on track for getting the most out of your workout. I love that it's easy and intuitive to understand the information on the board. Energy is always high and competitive, yet everyone is super friendly and motivating. It's so hard to find group exercise like this where you feel comfortable to show up the best you can, even when the class may be cycling faster/heavier than you, so I love the environment powercycle has cultivated. The music mixes are amazing- there's something in each mix for everyone! I love hip hop Saturday's with Ty, Marissa + Sam dual rides, and Marissa's strength classes (taught in a separate room using barbell weights). After class the instructors lead you through light stretching for your legs then you go back to the lobby to return your shoes/towel, grab your things and you're all set. You'll receive an email from Powercycle immediately after your class with your statistics attached. They also keep your stats in the app under your profile. I love this feature as it allows me to track my performance and growth. If you're interested in cycling please try a class (there's usually a $5 first class deal) or a 2 week trial (also usually a discounted rate)!

I'd say, Bold is very simialr to Soul Cycle. The instructor, Amber, was amazing. High five, Boom, Soul should take a playbook from ya'll! I would highly recommend it for other avid Soul Cyclers. Also, if you're purchasing any clothes or souvenirs, there's a coupon in their Kohler coupon book, which can be found at the check in desk, for 20% off any purchase of $50 or more... FYI! Cheers!

The model is simple - come in for a 30 or 45 min class, of different formats, feel stronger, rinse and repeat. The staff are friendly and really good at letting you set your own pace and level of interaction. I like that they are both motivating and willing to remind you to listen to your body. Never any shame in taking a different course - they'll keep riding until you're ready to join back in. Either way, you'll earn your Starbucks run or merch purchase after the ride. The facility is clean, the studio is well kept, and the bathrooms and showers are fully stocked. Members can use the shoes for free, but drop in riders pay $4 which can be steep if you attend regularly.

I was a little nervous about the heat, but they keep them right around 125 and if that's too hot, you can always adjust accordingly to what would make you more comfortable. The best part is that you don't have to work out for as long. I did a bike workout for 12 minutes and after waiting 15 minutes for my Pilates, I had already burned off another 85 active calories just by standing there. The staff is so friendly and great at explaining things. Wade is super attentive and really walked us through the entire process. The best perk is that it's way cheaper than most places you would go for classes and it's unlimited with 24/7 access. I would definitely recommend giving it a try and your first class is free!

Good sized room could easily have accommodated ~30 people; we had about 10. Room was appropriately hot and appropriately humid. Always interesting to see how different places have different variations on 26/2 -- this was a slightly different variation on the theme from what I'm accustomed to -- some postures done 2x when the "standard" 60 minute does them only once, so there was a little less space in and between postures, but it was a well taught class. They also offer a variety of other classes including power vinyasa, yin, and others (check the website!) Studio had mat and towels for rent for visitors like me. Showers available. I used a complimentary day pass to workout out the downtown WAC. I had a YMCA membership but have…read morealways been curious about the WAC and how if might differ/be better, etc. My initial impression was, I'm in a gym on a college campus. It was busy when I went (5:30pm on a Monday) which made getting a leg or arm circuit done on the weight machines a bit tricky. Now, if you wanted to use an elliptical or other cardio equipment those machines were mostly open. Some things I absolutely loved about this WAC location: The indoor track inside (9 laps = one mile). In the winter, it's like you're walking in a snow globe. There are huge floor to ceiling windows that offer great city views. The staff! Very warm, helpful, patient and kind. The steam room and sauna in the locker rooms. Keys to lockers are provided as well as towels and there's shaving cream in the locker room showers. Free parking so long as you download the parking app used here and scan the QR code before leaving the gym (parking is free for up to 3 hours). Olympic size/caliber weight room on the second floor (this gym is only two floors and does not have a gym). After my one day workout sesh, will I be back? If I lived downtown on the east side of the city then yes I would hop on the WAC train and member up. But being a 15 minute drive from downtown, and not always in the mood to workout after work I don't think I will be calling this gym "mine" any time soon. Regardless, it was a lot of fun to try this location out and to see the nice amenities the WAC has to offer downtown.

While one of the smaller WACs, it has lovely views of the city from its location on the 6th floor of the 411 building. Theres an indoor track that runs along the outside of the gym, and a second floor (the 5th) has more weight training areas and another group exercise studio. They do a lot of classes if you're into that sort of thing, and while the equipment isn't super fancy it gets the job done and there isn't usually too long of a weight fot anything. The great thing about the WAC is I consider it a "full service" type of club with free lockers, towels, coffee, very nice showers and other services (for a fee ) like PT and massage. The WAC is more expensive than a planet fitness but you definitely get what you pay for here No pool sadly at this site but there is a steam room (and maybe a sauna?) In the locker room. Nice friendly environment to work out in - 5 stars!
