I liked it so much that I got the unlimited monthly membership and I went every other day. Hot Yoga Milwaukee is an excellent community of yogis. Every time I decide to take a class, I leave the studio with an overall wellness feeling. All my stress, anxiety, any negative thoughts go away. Both locations are great, Brookfield is my favorite because parking is more convenient. During the winter months, it can get really crowded. I always try to arrive 15-10 minutes before to get in the room and have some time to get used to the heat. It can be a little overwhelming the first couple of times, but it gets so much better after that. All instructors are different, they will add their unique touch to the class, but it is always something positive. I can honestly say that I like them all. If you are thinking about trying this place, do take advantage of the intro special, it is worth it.

My flexibility sucks and I've been told to do more stretching and yoga so this definitely fits the bill. The staff here is awesome, they are super friendly and welcoming to newcomings. Do yourself a favor and check out their First Timer notes on the website. The poses are repeated every time so you may want to google that before you go as well. As a guy I was a bit worried about feeling awkward but there were plenty of other guys attending as well. Some mornings they are super croweded so try to arrive early. Even with the high temp and and a bunch of sweaty people, the facility is super clean and doesn't have a gross smell to it.

The studio has recently moved over the 222 E Eerie building on the garden level below Vita Physical Therapy. The new space is larger, brighter, and cooler! As far as Therese's instruction, my time with her has changed both my body (dramatically) and my entire way of approaching my relationship with my body. When I went to Therese, I was in a great deal of shoulder pain that is a side effect of working a lot on a computer. I've never had an issue with my shoulders again. AND my pilates practice has completely changed other physical practices improving my yoga practice by leaps and bounds. I've learned so much and gotten so much stronger, I can't recommend pilates or Therese enough.

Even in the dead of winter, my best friends and I made a commitment to attending hot yoga sessions. When we arrived, we walked into the facility, and there were areas to place our belongings and shoes. The room we did yoga in was large, and had mirrors lining the walls. The classes were packed, so spacing our mats was hard, but we made room. Shows how popular it was! We began with beginner sessions and moved up to harder classes. I had a great time and loved how calm I felt after! We also took classes that were simple flow and stretch. I have not returned since COVID but I did enjoy my time at this facility! The instructors were respectful of my space and gave good tips for modifications.

It's a niche exercise facility obviously...you're basically coming there for hot yoga -- the regular class, slow flow, candlelight or beginner - all those are pretty self explanatory. They also do lots of workshops that are fun and generally on the weekends. Their sound system always seems on point- never too loud or too soft. Each teacher has their own style of playlist but I usually love all the music choices here. if you haven't take yoga classes (esp hot yoga classes) you may balk at prices but from going to other places, their prices are some of the most reasonable in the city. And if you're not sure and are new you can try the "10 days for $10" special where you can try out as many classes as you like in 10 daysfor 10$. It's hot in the studio (seems to go anywhere from the 80s to over 100)so bring a mat sized towel (and maybe a small one too)a long with your mat cuz you're probably gonna sweat! Don't have one? bring a beach towel - that works too! or rent or buy one from the studio. You can also rent or buy mats, and they sell other little accessories and water. Props for class are free for use. Only thing to remember is there's no showers-just changing rooms and bathrooms, and parking is pretty much street-only (with a lot of it being metered.) I'd highly recommend walking or biking. Namaste, yelpers! .

My sister got a deal on living social and so did one of her friends and since neither of them do yoga and I actually do I decided I needed to give it a try. The classes are small, about 8 people at max I believe - which is great. I haven't been to a full class yet but the instructors are able to walk around to spot and assist if needed and keep an eye on everyone while demonstrating/talking through steps. I've been to the mandatory intro class and two beginners classes so far. I think it's awesome and the instructors are really great if you're a total wuss like me and too scared to do something without a spot they will come over. If it wasn't for this I wouldn't have already shown improvement between classes. Highly, highly recommend checking this place out. This was an incredible experience and I felt safe the entire time. It's a bit of a workout but remember to use your legs. They have mats for you to borrow or you can bring your own. They also have blocks, straps, and blankets. If you go to a class you'll need all of the above. Fortunately, I met a friend there who gave me the lay of the land. I went to their Tosa Yoga Flow class, which is a great class for beginners. I'm 100% a beginner and felt quite comfortable. They also have a gentle yoga flow as well as a mellow flow + restorative, which are both also good for beginners. If you're more advanced, their strong flow class may just be for you! After getting situated with my mat and props, the class began. Our instructor was clear, kind, and inclusive. She provided judgement free alternatives to moves so that you could do what feels comfortable. After the class, they informed me that they have a deal where newbies get one month of unlimited classes for $49! Even better? My $21 that I paid for the drop in could be applied toward the newbie rate. I signed up and am looking forward to trying a variety of classes this month! Highly recommend Tosa Yoga for a lovely, restorative, inclusive yoga experience. Get to it!
