I like the staff and while yes, this place isn't cheap, you get what you pay for. No weird gym smell, no dust bunnies in corners, no uneducated trainers and no equipment I'm too grossed out to use. I still don't enjoy exercising and I don't think that will ever change, but I do enjoy going to Motifaith. ‍

I can do things I never could before and it makes me feel proud. Karah is a really skilled trainer and always gives us a well rounded, full body workout that keeps ramping up as our athletic ability does. Each week, when I walk in the door after my work out, my husband asks, "How was work out?" The reply is simple, "It was hard! But GOOD!" I think that just about sums it all up, don't you? I've also taken classes offered by Nick, and every single time I go, he drops some serious knowledge about strength, form, posture, the body, etc. A few months ago, SH moved to a new location (closer to my house! bonus!) and I really like it. It's a big open space with squishy floors and lots of natural light. Every once in a while, SH offers other cool events like guided meditations on nights with full moons and walks by the lake. There are lots of things to try out here and I think every body should check it out. The prices are reasonable and well worth it. Overall, SH is such a positive and welcoming place!

It's just a room with some weird ropes and big medicine balls and strange props? Some girl's going to tell me what to do and it's all circuits or whatever? What is this? What it is is awesome, my friends. One class in and already I'm hooked, and I'm sure I'll be returning with Ellie and the crew week after week on Monday nights. This... THIS... is just what I need to take my regiment to the next level. I mean, sure... I play derby, and I go to the gym and do my requisite half hour of cardio and core work 2-3 times a week, but this is a real challenge. This is how I'm going to TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. Plyometrics, weight training, innovative cardio exercises... our class does it all. And it's not all "personal trainer screaming at you to keep going, or judging you for not having 7% body fat," either. It's encouraging and awesome and the vibe is really a good one. I dig. Worth noting is their group exercise classes held on the regular vary from yoga to intense "like the movie 300" workouts, so check their website and see what may appeal to you, and what classes are offered when and how much they run. (Not terribly expensive, and you can pay per class or buy packages.) Yay for Superb Health! I look forward to seeing where your weird plushy medicine balls and rope-arm-workout thing will put me in a few weeks' time.

It's a niche exercise facility obviously...you're basically coming there for hot yoga -- the regular class, slow flow, candlelight or beginner - all those are pretty self explanatory. They also do lots of workshops that are fun and generally on the weekends. Their sound system always seems on point- never too loud or too soft. Each teacher has their own style of playlist but I usually love all the music choices here. if you haven't take yoga classes (esp hot yoga classes) you may balk at prices but from going to other places, their prices are some of the most reasonable in the city. And if you're not sure and are new you can try the "10 days for $10" special where you can try out as many classes as you like in 10 daysfor 10$. It's hot in the studio (seems to go anywhere from the 80s to over 100)so bring a mat sized towel (and maybe a small one too)a long with your mat cuz you're probably gonna sweat! Don't have one? bring a beach towel - that works too! or rent or buy one from the studio. You can also rent or buy mats, and they sell other little accessories and water. Props for class are free for use. Only thing to remember is there's no showers-just changing rooms and bathrooms, and parking is pretty much street-only (with a lot of it being metered.) I'd highly recommend walking or biking. Namaste, yelpers! .

Even in the dead of winter, my best friends and I made a commitment to attending hot yoga sessions. When we arrived, we walked into the facility, and there were areas to place our belongings and shoes. The room we did yoga in was large, and had mirrors lining the walls. The classes were packed, so spacing our mats was hard, but we made room. Shows how popular it was! We began with beginner sessions and moved up to harder classes. I had a great time and loved how calm I felt after! We also took classes that were simple flow and stretch. I have not returned since COVID but I did enjoy my time at this facility! The instructors were respectful of my space and gave good tips for modifications.

Every time I decide to take a class, I leave the studio with an overall wellness feeling. All my stress, anxiety, any negative thoughts go away. Both locations are great, Brookfield is my favorite because parking is more convenient. During the winter months, it can get really crowded. I always try to arrive 15-10 minutes before to get in the room and have some time to get used to the heat. It can be a little overwhelming the first couple of times, but it gets so much better after that. All instructors are different, they will add their unique touch to the class, but it is always something positive. I can honestly say that I like them all. As a guy I was a bit worried about feeling awkward but there were plenty of other guys attending as well. Some mornings they are super croweded so try to arrive early. In the past, group exercise classes like yoga and bodypump held my interest briefly, but that interest would wane within a month. I joined Top Line at the urging of a friend, and within two weeks my attitudes toward myself and my abilities changed dramatically. This isn't a fancy gym. There is no upscale locker room, no juice bar, no supplements station, no tanning beds. It's a former warehouse with hardcore equipment, and it's given me the greatest workout of my life. More than that, it's given me greater physical strength than I've ever possessed, and results I still can't believe. I started out with two sessions a week, quickly upped that to three, and then added a strength program soon after. It turns out that there is nothing more addictive than results. Within a month of joining, I started seeing muscle definition. Soon after, my clothing sizes began to drop (I went from a snug ladies' 12 to a loose 6 within a few months). I was sleeping better, had more energy, and people around me started to notice how different I looked. Top Line changed me physically, but it also changed my attitudes and habits. Through meal planning and guidance, my diet has become dramatically healthier. I have become "that girl" who encourages her friends to exercise, who helps others with food choices, and who can recommend a great protein shake... things that still surprise me. While the equipment and programming is top-of-the-line, the real Top Line experience comes from the people. This is a gym where the coaches and your fellow gym-goers work as a team. Everyone encourages and assists. I never feel afraid that I'm doing something incorrectly, or that I'm going to hurt myself, because there is always someone there to assist and guide. It's something I'd never experienced in a gym before, and it's definitely on the list of top ten things that keep me coming back. Top Line isn't just physique-changing. It's life-changing.
