The new phone carrier said "all good" from their end; the phone guy they sent our for the install said everything "should be working fine"; heck, we even had some big telecom company technician here for 2 hours saying something in the system must be burnt out and their solution was to sell us a $5,000 new phone system! Yikes! This morning I stumbled onto Gallo Telecom's website. I spoke with Dean and in less than 5 minutes I knew this guy could figure it out. I got him some information he needed; he tested our phone lines remotely and after about 15 minutes for reasons known to only Dean and God, he figured out the new phone carrier programmed our lines incorrectly!!!! I called the carrier; told them exactly what Dean told me to say; and like magic, the system is working perfectly! Absolutely and without the slightest hesitation, Dean is my hero. If needed, I would call him again in less than a minute and suggest to anyone else who needs a Guru in the Telecom World to do the same. A young man named Ryan Kane was incredibly kind and incredibly helpful to us. We live in a zone that is known for its poor cellular reception and he explained how we could boost our reception by connecting to our home WIFI. He told us how it works and who to contact. Many sales people get easily frustrated when dealing with people, like us, who are not tech savvy. Ryan was very patient with our questions. In addition we are new to the Plymouth area and rely on our Google Maps to get us everywhere. He showed us a few devices that we could use to mount our phones to the dashboard and he helped us select the one that is best suited to our needs. Needed to change to Verizon for internet, now being charged $60 for service being advertised for $35. Had to wait two weeks without home internet to get it connected for $100. This Wareham store is a Verizon direct store, the one in Plymouth is a subcontractor and appears much more able to troubleshoot. Unfortunately if you work with the Wareham store they won't touch your phone. Avoid Verizon if you can , if you have to work with them be careful.
