Sent in a motherboard from a Lenovo X1 Carbon to replace power port. Delivered Friday afternoon, repair completed and shipped back several days later. Port works as expected and the repair was very reasonable. Repair was indistinguishable from factory original. Excellent work, highly recommend. Only one shop in our area performs such work and their lead time was ~ 3 weeks with a higher cost. read more

This technician is one of the worlds best. I highly recommend this company! I wish all companies worked like this. Highly respected. Five star review! did incredibly job. read more

Wow, what a great service and great guy to deal with. Had my laptop back up and running in no time. Used his video to remove my motherboard and then reinstall it. Can't say enough good things about Power Jack Repair. You won't go wrong if you use them. Michael Lakewood, CO 12/24 read more

I sent in my motherboard for my HP Spectre x360, as both my USB-C ports went out. Unfortunately it was a case where only one of them could be brought back, and only half way (e.g. plug had to be oriented the on the right side). But, applicasoft gave my laptop a new life, but more importantly, the person I texted with is just a genuinely good person. Didn't want to charge me full for a half fix, but honestly I would be out more having to buy a new laptop. You guys rock! read more

After wasting $ getting an estimate of $350 to repair my Levono laptop, I instead found POWER JACK REPAIR at https://powerjackrepair.org/ and was very pleased to have it repaired for $120 (shipping additional). I shipped it on the first of the month and received it back on the 6th. I was amazed on the turn around. How do you rate someone that deserves a DOUBLE 5 STAR RATING. WOW. read more

The shipping instructions were clear, and good for someone not used to shipping laptops. The laptop was repaired and returned quickly, with a helpful note about the unit's CMOS battery. I'd definitely use these folks again. read more

I was on youtube looking up how to repair power jacks on my motherboard, because I had a power jack go bad on me, and I didn't want to spend 300 plus dollars either getting it repaired at the local computer repair shop, or just getting a whole new motherboard. I was set on just repairing it myself. But then I saw on the video that he was offering a service to fix it for 60 dollars if you just sent him the motherboard, and I figured "you know what? why the hell not. I'll send it out there to get repaired." So I packaged everything up (followed the instructions on the website), and shipped it out, and after a week, I got the motherboard back, and it worked perfectly again. Would HIGHLY recommend this is you have a bad motherboard. Awesome service at an awesome price. read more

Went through ABOVE AND BEYOND! Man, I'm so thankful for the technician. My razer laptop power port broke, I tried replacing it myself but was a rookie at it. I sent it to a nearby technician where they made it worse, peeled off the pads and didn't solder well. They tried to get me to sell the laptop and buy a new one from them. Feeling all lost hope, I contacted power jack repair guy and assured me he will be able to fix it. I watched the video repair he did on my laptop and man I'm so thankful and so sorry! I'm sorry for the painful job that you had to go through to fix the pins and display cable. You're truly the best! read more

I had a laptop that was rendered unusable over a year because its power jack no longer worked. After Googling for how to fix the issue, I determined that I didn't have the expertise to replace my laptop's power jack on my own. However, I was glad to have found Power Jack Repair's videos on Youtube, which were so professional that it helped convince me to ship my laptop to them for repair. This shop was quick to fix the problem, and shipping was every bit as quick (not to mention that the packaging was superb)! Most importantly, the part and repair cost all-in was extremely fair. I doubt there's a better one-stop shop to send your laptop to for power jack repair at a reasonable cost. I rarely give reviews, but this company deserves 5 stars and then some. The world needs more reliable and trustworthy companies like this one! read more

If you know 100% that it's your power jack that's broken, use these guys. This is the second time I had to get the jack fix. The first time was this summer and I took it to a repair guy near me. Nice enough but he charged me over $200 for the repair and it broke after 6 months. He is a generalist so it took him three weeks to get the part and fix it. My guess is he had to learn how to do it and then fix it, which is why it took so long and it was unfortunately shoddy. He probably didn't do it 100% correctly. After it broke a second time, I took it to a big chain computer store (Micro Center). These guys charged me $45 for a "diagnostic", which I said I didn't need because I told them flat out I just want the power jack fixed. They said they always have to do the diagnostic, which would take a week. After the diagnostic, they said the power jack was broken (yean no sh*t) but they didn't have the part to replace it. So $45 down the drain and a week wasted. So after that I found this service on YouTube while seeing if I could do the repair on my own (I can't). I followed their very clear directions on their website on using their service. Once they received my laptop, they literally fixed it that day and sent it back. Even with the shipping of the laptop back and forth, it was quicker than the diagnostic I did at Micro Center. Just use these guys. Very fair pricing, great service, and probably faster than the service you are thinking of using (even if you are out of state...I'm in NJ). The only issue I have with them is that they only repair power jacks because I wish I could use them for other repairs. I guess that is their niche business and they do it well. read more

This company is amazing! I was nervous sending my laptop off to a random company but, the reviews they had said they are amazing and, They are. They even send notes explaining what was wrong with your port and send the old one back for your inspection. Additionally, they repaired my power cord that I broke. The pricing too was Great, 120 for a port repair AND a cord repair. that price is unmatched anywhere. They not only complete their services in a timely manner but they also exceed expectations at ever turn 10/10 would gladly send all of my DC ports to repaired here! read more

I was really impressed with the service I received from this business. Rather than shipping my laptop for repairs, I stopped by the location and dropped it off in person. I also dropped off an external hard drive that wouldn't start. Within an hour, the power port on my laptop was fixed. He also tried to fix my hard drive, but it wasn't a power issue. However, he provided great advice on what I can do to get it working again. In fact, he sent a follow-up email with detailed instructions for the hard drive. I expected to pay something extra for the work he'd done with the hard drive, but he only invoiced me for the laptop repair. Really unexpected professionalism and kindness. read more

I sent them my laptop and it comes back great. I was not good at these stuffs and they took care of my laptop well. I consider it worthwhile and I am very satisfied. read more

Power Jack Repair was wonderful in terms of timeliness, quick repair, and repairing my power jack as advertised. However, three screws in the bottom of my laptop were gone when it was shipped back, and several of the screw holes were broken, so I cannot properly attach the bottom of my laptop anymore. I'm thankful for the timely repair that was super fast, and the power jack does work, but not being informed about what happened with the screws on the bottom of my laptop leaves me a little wary of sending in any more laptops to Power Jack Repair. read more

This guy is totally honest. He repaired my ACER powerjack before. I thought it went out again, contacted him, and he told me to buy a new OEM power cord AND IT WORKED! He could have easily said to send him the computer and charged me, which I was planning to do. He saved me a lot by being honest. I highly recommend. read more

All my friends and family told me I was crazy to ship my expensive laptop halfway across the country but I did it anyway and it was a great decision. I got my laptop shipped and shipped back within a week and it's working good as new if not better, nobody around me did any soldering work or knew of anybody that could fix my charging port so I found this company online and just trusted that it was safe and I'm very glad I did. If you're having a problem with your charging port, don't be afraid to ship it to power jack repair and for less than $150 to get it repaired and shipped it's a great deal on top of everything else! read more

After not being able to find anyone locally to do such a repair, I located Power Jack Repair via Youtube after watching them fix the same make/model of laptop I was having issues with. According to the tracking numbers, Power Jack Repair had my laptop in their care and custody for 24 hours before shipping it back to me. I wouldn't hesitate at all using this company. Awesome and fast service as well as excellent communication. read more

Professional, personal, and responsive service delivered on time ... well worth the price. Even spliced and replaced my plug that I'd bent trying to use my previous power jack. Definitely would recommend their service to others! read more

Honestly, I was nervous shipping my laptop so far away for repair but Best Buy wanted to keep my laptop for 5 weeks and said repair cost would start at $500+. This gaming laptop is my lifeline and not just for games, I use it for a variety of things (from volunteer work to business management) and could not be without it for that long. I started searching online for how to repair it myself, that search lead me to this company, they had a youtube video on how to repair my exact laptop and he did it so efficiently. I had a tracking number and it was on it's way back to me about 24 hours after my laptop was received and it's in perfect working order, I couldn't be happier with the service provided. I have been recommending this company to my friends as well (they let me be the test dummy) All around amazing service, helpful technician and such a great price. I cannot thank you enough! read more

Sent my laptop in from AZ. From shipping to return, one week. Awesome fast service for repairing my laptop power jack. Would highly recommend. Only feedback I have is, communication was non-existent. Y+Would like to have heard it was being shipped back and tracking number. read more

It's hard to find honest and capable people these days. Eugene works out of his home office which may be different but it is efficient. He is very good at hardware and diced my laptop when I was in a jam. A sincere thanks for helping me out and I am sure I will be back again. read more

Took my daughter's Sony Vaio laptop in to PJR today. It cost me $100 (exactly what the website said it would cost) and was done in the time it took me to attend a meeting. Very nice guy doing the work and delivered exactly what I expected. I would definitely recommend this business. read more

I needed a power jack replaced in my computer. Took him about an hour, no issues and works great. I've done this work before, but never having to solder. This guy was an good though, much appreciated. I would do business with him again in a heart beat. Oh and the price is right to at $100. I've been quoted anywhere from $150 - $300 so this is a great price for what you're getting. read more

So, my laptop's jack pin broke on Sunday morning. I went to various laptop repair shops in my area on Monday morning (thanks to the help of my best friend) and either they didn't have the replacement part and it would take over a week to order them OR they charged me a ridiculous price for replacement. SO, my friend suggested I ship it to these guys out in Chicago. I didn't even hesitate. I called Eugene up to clarify a few things before shipping out my laptop. He was very polite and quick with his answers. I paid (via paypal) right before I shipped out my laptop to them Monday afternoon. Now, let me state that they charge a flat fee of $100 to fix/replace your jack and to ship it back to you, it does not include the cost of shipping your laptop TO them. I needed my laptop within the week, so I forked over the cash for next day air. My laptop got delivered Tuesday afternoon. I called to confirm this, and Eugene told me he would have it fixed within a few hours. Later that evening I got a shipping notification from UPS saying that my laptop got shipped and that it would get delivered to me on Thursday. WOW. They were right. I got my laptop back in one piece, and the jack was repaired as promised. I'm even thinking they cleaned up my fan because it's not making that terrible 'whhhrring' noise it usually does upon start up (and if not, oh well!). Anyway, I totally recommend these guys if you're in need of a quick jack repair for a fair price. read more

A.m.a.z.i.n.g. Like other folks, I "took a chance" based on Google Reviews. Shipped it last week, returned this week, and repaired for $100. ("Geek Squad" wanted $175 to just look at it.) Came back with (1) new power jack in computer and (2) my power cord repaired (possible damage to cord plug) because he didn't find any visible damage when he repaired the Power Jack on the computer. So, no problems, no worries. Let this guy fix your power jack. Thanks! read more

My wife's Lenovo Legion power jack started to come loose to the point that it was coming off the motherboard. We found these guys through YouTube and mailed it to them with a return label. $100 and a week later it was back with us and works perfectly! We highly recommend these guys. All they do is power jack repairs and they were totally worth it. read more

Very skilled technician working out of his home. Professional and polite. You can mail your laptop in or just drop it off locally if you're in the area. Charges a fair flate rate and works quickly. We had a problem with a laptop power jack requiring a complete disassembly, he was available to do it the same day in one hour for $100. Total lifesaver, worth every penny. read more

I could not be more pleased with this service. It is quick. It is reasonable. And it is good. Shipped laptop and had it back in my hands in 7 days. I don't usually take time to post a review unless there is something exceptional to communicate. This service is EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD. read more

I normally don't write reviews but his service was amazing and I myself was sooooo skeptical about just shipping off my laptop to a random company but I received my laptop and it works better than ever he also supplied me with a new power cord and it fits so nice and snug I would definitely use his service again in the future read more

Amazing service! Dropped my laptop while charging right on the charger port and the charger was broken completely as well as the port. I was really worried that I would have to buy a new laptop and if I repaired it through Dell then it would have costed so much money! I did some research and found this business and took a chance since it had so many good reviews. Shipped my laptop on 7/26 and usps tracking said it arrived at 7/27 around 10:30 and at 7:30 pm 7/27 he came and dropped it off to my house since i lived in the same town! Charger ports all fixed and he also gave me a new cable for the port with no extra charge! AMazing and fast service! read more

I went there today on short notice, as my vacation was ending. I was greeted and my Asus removed from my hands. In less than 60 min, the power jack was repaired. I am not easily impressed, he did it. I offered more than the "charged" price due to what I experienced. It was rejected. I would highly recommend the services this man offers. His honesty, and work, are not easily found. read more

My laptop stopped running on AC/DC. A local computer repair business said as long as it was still running fine on battery (it was), there was nothing wrong with the computer and that it was the power jack (inside the laptop) that needed replacement/fixing. And they referred me to Applicasoft (Power Jack Repair) as they know of no one in the SF Bay Area who does these repairs. I was told by a local computer guru that the $100 fee (includes shipment back to you) is a good price (if you send them only the motherboard it is $60). As promised, at the end of the day following their receipt of my laptop, Applicasoft (Power Jack Repair) had shipped my machine back to me. I just got it back and it works like a dream, good as new. They also fixed my broken original power supply cord (the tip was damaged) so I am glad to be using this once again instead of the replacement non-factory cord I had been using for the past six months. Thank you Eugene at Applicasoft! read more

After taking my laptop in, what was originally thought to possibly be a disconnected wire or a broken jack turned out to be corrosion build-up on both the pin and the power port. A bit of cleaning, a little filing, some soldering, and my laptop was consistently charging again. I am very happy with the communication, the process, and the results. read more

My first review ever: Service was great and quick! I was really afraid to ship my computer to somebody (and feared it was a scam), but everything went well and my power cord doesn't fall out anymore! I never write reviews. But their mail-it-in service was great. They tried, but couldn't fix the mobo I sent, and wrote me a note with the reason why. (This mobo had a crack that just would not mend). They sent it right back at no charge, just like it said on the web page Only about a week total turnaround from the west coast. Couldn't ask for better than that. Thanks! read more

They were cost effective and got the power jack to function. We did run into a few problems, but we may be the outlier in this case. I live in AZ, so I shipped it to them to fix. They sent it back to my paypal address (in Ohio) which I had not updated after moving a month before. Make sure you update your address. That is mostly my fault, but the biggest problem was the shipping. They used the same box we had used, but it came to our house opened and there was a chip in the casing of my laptop, which I can live with, but it is frustrating. When I called, the gentleman I spoke to had such a heavy Russian accent that I struggled to understand, but he got the job done and changed the shipping to AZ for me as UPS would not let me. Overall, they did a great job fixing my computer at a low cost, but make sure the shipping is very well protected read more
