I had a flooded basement from storm water back up from city storm drains in May 2016, about 3-4" of water over my entire basement floor. I had 26 years of "stuff" (books, financial papers, videos, clothes, camping gear, etc. stored in my basement with many boxes sitting on the floor. Almost everything on the floor was water damaged with raw sewage in the water. The plumber (with KB Complete), and my State Farm insurance company both recommended Power Dry to do the restoration water removal, sanitation, and drying everything out. Power Dry's rep (Boots Rojas) was out within 1-1/2 hours from my initial call for help. He was very helpful, knowledgable, and thorough in assessing the damage, work to be done, and the process I could expect. They had their restoration technicians out by 9am the next morning, and had finished their initial work in about 4 hours, leaving 2 large commercial dehumidifiers and about 7 circulation fans to remain operating continuously for 48 hours. Power Dry's technicians (Jay and JJ) did all the water removal, steam cleaning, sanitation spraying, damaged item bagging and carrying up basement stairs all salvageable and destroyed items and moving all remaining items (including some very heavy exercise equipment) that was necessary. They were very friendly, knowledgable, and informative of what they were doing and why, and explained what to expect next . . . . I was very impressed. Their entire process was completed in about 4 hours, including photographing all the destroyed items and loading it all on their truck for haul off. 48 hours later (10am on a Sunday morning) their final technician arrived to remove all their equipment, after taking a complete series of moisture readings from all over the basement, moved my heavy exercise equipment, and clothes washer & dryer, etc. back in place, and made sure everything was OK. The office staff was very friendly and helpful, and seemed attentive to my situation and needs. Bottom line . . . . everyone I dealt with at Power Dry, including Tracie and Jamie in the office, really impressed me, and I will definitely recommend this company to anyone I meet who needs these type of services. read more

My experience with Power Dry was extremely disappointing. I found their pricing to be excessive and their billing and marketing practices lacking transparency. Items were initially listed as losses that appeared inflated, particularly when it was assumed insurance would be covering the costs. Although a few charges were later corrected, others -- including what I believe were fabricated items -- were not credited. As someone who is immunocompromised, I was especially concerned about the antimicrobial product being applied in my home. It was very difficult to obtain basic information about the specific product being used, and I was not provided with clear guidance regarding potential health risks or side effects. No tarps or protective containment measures were used during application. Additionally, the technicians sent to my home behaved unprofessionally, including using inappropriate language in front of my young children, which was unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to document all interactions, carefully review invoices, and request full disclosure of any chemicals being used in their home, including product names and associated safety information. Consumers may also wish to familiarize themselves with the IICRC Code of Ethics, PBLs, and, if necessary, follow up with the appropriate regulatory agencies such as EPA Region 7 or the Kansas Department of Agriculture. read more

Power Dry came to our house right on time when we had major water damage. PJ was extremely professional and took his time to thoroughly inspect our home. He answered all of our questions patiently and was very understanding of our frustration during such a stressful time. He kept us informed about every single step and clearly explained what was happening and what to expect. A couple of hours later, his crew arrived and began working the same day. Seth and Ethan were incredibly helpful, informative, and respectful toward both our family and our home. The entire team was highly professional, and their communication was outstanding. Highly recommend! I spoke with the office at 8:30am on Tuesday morning. Then Betty arrived around 9:15am and the crew was here around 12:15pm to set the drying equipment. This prompt service absolutely exceeded my expectations. I think this should say something as I have worked for a major insurance carrier for 10 years. Of that, I spent 5.5 years as a Field Adjuster handling homeowners claims. So I have certainly seen my share of water losses and understand mine could have been a lot worse. I have also worked with numerous mitigation companies, including those that are unsavory or uneducated. I wasn't sure what to expect when Betsey arrived but was immediately impressed. She spoke to me about the drying process and methods that would be used. My water line to my refrigerator busted. Unknowingly, water was spewing for 10 or more hours. Soaked the floor, cabinets, wall, as well as the walls and floor in my basement. We were out of town when a contractor found a water leak in our basement. We were able to get a plumber to the house within an hour and shut off the water and repair the leak. The extent of the water was extensive and I asked if the plumbing company (Anthony) had any remediation company relationships and the said, YES, POWER DRY! I was quickly able to get an insurance claim number (at 5:30 pm to boot) and within 30 min Power Dry had a crew on site assessing damage and setting up the drying/dehumidification equipment! Their team stayed until 11:44 pm that night working on setting up the drying and was there again each day to check and optimize the drying setup. We had water damage from the recent storm, a hole in our roof. I was referred to Power Dry by a friend who is a retired insurance agent. He said they used them recently and highly recommended them. I called Power Dry and they were at our house within 2 hours. The young man told us what needed to be done and how they would do it. He was so nice and friendly. They brought fans and a dehumidifier that evening and started them running. The next morning they brought more equipment and took out the wet drywall, ceiling, and insulation and hauled all that away. The equipment ran for 3 days to dry everything including our hardwood floors. All that equipment was loud and really hot, but it did what it was suppose to do. Their employees stole things from my house and I reported it to my insurance company. They tell you they will do things for you if you request them and then later charge your card on file without you knowing until the bill comes . When you sign their contract BEWARE ...they have your bank card information on file and charge you as they desire !! You can not dispute it because you sign their contract . What professionalism we had to a major disaster!! The crew that we had (Chris Hales, Nick, and Anthony) helped us through what seemed to be such devastation, ended up explaining in calming tones, professional manor (one I could understand in my terms) and with smiles. What a great company to use when you need your walls, insulation and floors dried after a busted pipe leak. They arrived within an hour from the time that they were called. The Project Manager, PJ, took the time to explain and answer all of our questions, then guided us on how to get a claim set up with the insurance company. The Crew Chief, Latrell, and Technician Taylor got all the equipment set up and explained how it worked and how to read the progress in the phone. Then after 3 days Brett W came and double checked everything and once satisfied, he removed all of the equipment. The price rate that they charge is very good. My hot water heater ruptured the water line while I was out for the day- flooding my kitchen, living room, hallway and bathroom. Power Dry started the drying process and two days later a water line in my bathroom ruptured flooding the bathroom and a bedroom. Fortunately, a technician from Power Dry was onsite checking my house status when I found this after returning from work. They jumped in and helped me immediately. I had a water leak in my basement resulting in mold growth that was not fixed properly, and Power Dry did an amazing job of cleaning and helping inhibit any future mold growth in the basement. They were very detailed in their explanation of their work, as well as meticulous in terms of sealing off areas as well as extensive cleaning of all surfaces. Power Dry was recommended by our HVAC company, Anthony Plumbing. The pipe to an outdoor spigot caused a slow leak back behind a finished basement wall. There was a ton of black mold. Following heavy rains the past month or so, our sump pump stopped working and water backed up into our carpeted, finished basement.
