I regret I can't give them six or seven stars. I regret we didn't stumble on Furr's earlier (because in our youth we did run into a couple of other car repair businesses in town that took advantage of our inexperience and naivete). But I don't regret the entirely selfish hope that the owner - who is getting on in years - lives and works 'til he is 150 so we don't ever have to look for a new repair shop.

I was nine years old back then and he was eight years old I think (that was way back in 1978). We were neighbors for over 15 years. I don't let anyone else work on my car except Lowder's because I know and trust the owner, Bob, and I know that he will ALWAYS do right by me. He hasn't ever tried to pull a fast one on me (or any of my family or friends) like other mechanics do; he does what's actually needed or what I've asked to be done (IF it's legal of course but NOT if it's something illegal like putting a muffler on a vehicle that doesn't have a catalytic converter on it (or other stuff like that), because that's quite illegal!). He does the right thing, he always has that I know of and I've never heard anyone taking bad about him, EVER --- not even in high school. He's just and simply a great and honest man; and you can trust him. Oh! He WON'T give you some triple the price estimate and try to rip you off either, he's not like that at all. I refer people to go to him at Lowder's Automotive every single time someone is talking about having vehicle problems or the need of a good honest mechanic. He runs the office and front counter now and doesn't get under the cars anymore because he has some great people working for him there. He WON'T put up with a dishonest mechanic working in his shop either. I fully know that he would give them the boot too if they ever tried something like that! They work on lots of types of vehicles there and they're certified & licensed. And you can see the legal certifications and licenses posted there if you'd like to. He is an awesome person to know too. Talk with him awhile if you're wanting to know more about him and his business, I'm sure that he will fill you in on anything that you will need to know. He's been working on cars since we were kids. Oh, and BTW, he is still about Mopar too. Js. I'm a Chevy man myself but I don't hold the fact that he's into Mopar against him. LoL! So if you're into Dodge vehicles, especially big trucks, just bring that up and you're sure to have a nice conversation with him. Poor customer service. I called Scott to inform him as to what happened. I purchased some more tires he couldn't order all I asked was to be taken care of I wasn't asking for anything free. I had to pay an out of town tire company to rebalance some tires kzoo tire installed. Scott said come on down and bring the tires. I showed him the receipt when I arrived. He said how do I know if that's for the car we worked on. The receipt clearly showed the year make and model with my last name on the receipt. He purposely had me come down there just to say he wouldn't do the job. I've been doing business with them for 30 years so has my family. We will never step foot in this place again and I guarantee you I will spread the word on how unprofessional Scott was and how the so called mechanics can't even put a simple tire on correctly. I dropped off my vehicle and they checked the alignment all over and recommended that I get all 4 done since it was off. It was $100 for the whole vehicle or $80 for just the front which I called for. They did a great job and I got my vehicle back before the kids got out of school to get them picked up. Not everyone does alignments.
