I saw there was only 1 and felt I should add my experiences. My family has been taking our cars here for almost 30 years. Extremely reliable and honest service. Fast, fair prices, straight talk and no upsells or unnecessary work. They find what's wrong, fix it, and nothing more. What else can you ask for? We have had numerous quick repairs done at no cost and some extensive diagnosis work done for very little or free. I personally have lived in various cities and been to countless mechanics with numerous cars and have not yet found a repair shop as reliable as Woodwards. Shoemaker's looked at the report then upon further inspection (cleaned under the car, then attempted to drive it around so they can see whether it would leak) found that there was actually no leak at all! They are very thorough in their care for the car and took the time to explain everything to me, they saved me from having to pay for an expensive and unnecessary service I would have had at Toyota. They are incredibly friendly and courteous even offering to drive me home after they found out i was planning on walking in -9 degree weather. I will be back and Shoemaker's will be my go to mechanic.

He gave him 2 options for appointments, specifically either Monday or Tuesday of the following week. When he was finished, I asked for an appointment, and he flipped through his appointment book and said there would not be an appointment available for months and months. This was curious as the customer before me got 2 options of appointments for the next week. I wonder if the difference was race based. I was able to get an appointment at another shop and do not recommend this place if you are not a white person.

I regret we didn't stumble on Furr's earlier (because in our youth we did run into a couple of other car repair businesses in town that took advantage of our inexperience and naivete). But I don't regret the entirely selfish hope that the owner - who is getting on in years - lives and works 'til he is 150 so we don't ever have to look for a new repair shop.
