In both cases, the recommendations felt unnecessary and overly aggressive. This pattern is deeply concerning. It comes across as taking advantage of elderly customers who may not feel comfortable questioning a technician's claims or seeking a second opinion. No reputable company should be pushing costly upgrades without clear, verifiable justification--especially not to vulnerable customers. Shame on Summers for what appears to be predatory behavior. I would strongly urge anyone, particularly older homeowners and their families, to get a second opinion before agreeing to any major repairs or replacements recommended by this company.

Tim showed up on time, wore booties in the home, and guided us through various options, especially as we have short term renters we wanted the right equipment if people flush wipes, etc. Work was done quickly, but also very well (they even cleaned the area around the pumps in our basement). This latest call was concerning our sump pump and that ie was running continuously but it was intermittent - Norbert came out the next day, and spent a considerable amount of time diagnosing the issue and getting it replicate the problem. He was not only able to fix it simply, he correct another issue (loud pump operation) by thoroughly cleaning the sump pit- he saved is considerable money and frustration. Highly recommend Anderson. May cost more on first view, but well worth the service call fee.

The plumber used shark bite style connectors, but didn't secure it to the structure of the house so it slopped around. The next call was to repair an upstairs shower drain. Two men showed up. I had already cut a small section of the ceiling below to assess what happened. The used a Wingtite Shower Drain Replacement, which installs entirely from the top. The older of the two then said there wasn't enough room to build a p-trap. He said he could do 1" pipe and it would fit between the floors. When he finished the p-trap was completely below the plane of the ceilings drywall. I told him this was unacceptable. He rebuilt it, but we still had to shave a significant amount of drywall from the ceiling patch. I would NOT recommend Anderson Plumbing

Initially I called them as my AC was out and they came out and found that it was the capacitor. They didn't have the correct one my unit needed in stock, so the tech offered that he could wire two together that would "work". If I wanted the correct part, it would cost an additional $100 dollars just to order it, plus the cost of the part. The next time I had an AC problem, I called them again and the gentleman fixed the problem and offered me to join their membership program. The pricing is fair and it includes two check ups a year. He also told me that they do not charge a $100 fee to order in parts as the previous tech had told me. Yesterday was my first check up. The gentleman they sent was very nice and said my condenser might need more coolant, but he wasn't sure they would need to send out a repair technician, he was only a maintenance technician. So today another very nice employee came and checked my unit and said yes, in fact it could use additional coolant, and he gave me the price. I was quite shocked by the price, and looked up online the typical pricing for the type of coolant that I needed and it was a third of what I was being quoted. As I don't believe everything I read online, I called another HVAC company for a quote and they about a fourth of the price per pound. So there it is. Very nice service people, super duper over priced on coolant even if you are a member of their service plan and that was with my discount :(

Update on 5/20: The customer service team reached out for a…read moreresolution after I expressed my frustration. They told me they would come in with no extra cost and fix the valve. I really appreciate that they tried to understand my feelings and worked diligently for a satisfying experience for the customers. Original post on 5/19: Wish I read the Yelp reviews before I did service with them. TERRIBLE experience indeed. Please avoid. My fridge leaked during Christmas and I called the technician in. charged $225 in total. Told me the issue was with the braided water supply line and changed it. Also spotted issue with a brown water supply line so cut off the end and reattached it. My fridge leaked once again three months later. Another tech came in and told me it was not due to their staff's fault so would not cover for it. This time told me it was due to another clear supply line. Also recommended me to change the fan and motor. This time charged $517.28. I did everything and yes, the issue still wasn't fixed. It was leaking AGAIN. Now telling me the issue is with the valve that connects all the water supply lines. Charging another $161.40. I'm so done with it. I proceeded with the service only because I wanted to trust the technicians. I was very disappointed and frustrated. They never fixed anything. They just come in and point to more issues.
