As a frequent visitor to Port Townsend, I had no idea this little taphouse existed until I saw it pop up on Yelp recently. What a gem this place is! It's located in the less touristy marina area of PT. Or, in other words, if you take a left (rather than the traditional right) getting off the ferry it's about a mile away. It's definitely worth the hunt though! The interior of the taphouse is light and bright, with plenty of beer, wine, and cider to choose from (as well as NA bevvies and tons of snack options too). But the real gem here is their beachfront beer garden! With plenty of seating and colorful outdoor umbrellas, the place seriously made us feel like were were somewhere beachy and semi-tropical, especially on the warm summer day of our visit. We enjoyed a couple of lazy hours at a well-shaded picnic table, with a cool breeze blowing and a tasty beer or two. This will definitely be on our Port Townsend rotation from now on! read more

The service here ia amazing and the beer choices are awesome and the company I kept while here was even better! This will always be my go to place when I visit my friend in port Townsend!!! The ambiance cannot be beat. The views are spectacular and the chill vibe is amazing. I'm sure that the employees were sick of us after about 5 hours of hanging out, but if they were, they never showed it and remained just as friendly and welcoming. I'd highly recommend this place!! I had an amazing time out here! During the pandemic, I have been extremely cautious so I have not done any outdoor dining or anything like that. I'm from Seattle so since I was in the area for a small trip, I figured it would be okay after looking into the reviews here at Pourhouse. LOCATION & PARKING // I did not physically go inside since I went with someone and he went in to order and pick up drinks for us. My understanding is the staff here are quite good with enforcing social distancing and mask requirements. There is a huge outdoor space with a bunch of tables that are super spaced out. There is a small parking lot right outside. Unfortunately, when I came on a Friday, it was full but street parking is pretty easy to find here. DRINKS // The beers I had here were fresh and delicious! I had an amber and had sips of a sour and they have a pretty large selection here. FOOD // They don't serve food here but they highly recommend that you bring your own to enjoy with your drinks. SERVICE // Great service with obvious COVID complicit rules here. OVERALL // 5 stars I would love to come back after COVID, just to feel a little better. read more

One of the few places open late in Port Townsend. I think it's open till 10 pm every day. Anyways we stopped by to grab a couple of drinks. The bartender let us try a couple of beers. And I settled on their two sours - a key line and a strawberry. Both were very fruit forward and very sour. I liked it. They offer three sizes of most of their beers. The smallest one, a 12 oz and 16 oz (pint). Prices are reasonable too. They also have a bunch of beers in a refrigerated area, where you can get beers to go. They also sell growlers of things on tap. We sat inside at first and went outside on their patio for the sunset. Super pretty. Great place to grab a drink. read more

This place is great! I did a lil research before landing on Pourhouse. We were looking for a dog friendly spot and this place came on my radar. We were also looking for a spot that served food. This place does not serve a real meal and they encourage people to bring in food from elsewhere or order from the Thai place next door. So we picked up some pizzas from Waterfront and headed over! They have their own parking lot. They have a great waterfront patio with giant umbrellas! The bartender even gave us plates and napkins for our pizza. Very friendly service. I tried the watermelon cider they had on tap. I didn't like it that much, it was too tart for my liking. Everyone else enjoyed their beers though! It started raining so we moved from the patio to the deck which has covering. They were even nice enough to put out a water bowl for our 2 pups we had with us! Local friends suggested we meet here for a drink. The atmosphere was pleasant, and it has a great patio area on the water for when the weather is warm. The bartenders were helpful in choosing a beer. They also have ciders on tap. The taps do change regularly (several changed during our time there), so check out the live feed of the tap list on their website. My one suggestion to them is to put in at least one nitro tap. read more

We went in the other night and were verbally assaulted by the owner, told we shouldn't be there, and we were disrupting the regulars. I really liked this place! It had some really good beers on tap and it was also a bottle shop with a good variety of beers. It costs an additional $1 to drink a bottled beer. The place was packed when I went there, I think practically all of Port Townsend must have been there! There was live music and good people watching. I was passing through on a motorcycle trip and stopped in for a pint. This is a great taproom on the beach. The outdoor seating area has an amazing view of the harbor ,only small issue is that you can also smoke outside, I had to move a few tables over to get out of the smoke. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the beers were delicious. I think their Mexican Lager is my favorite. I hope to back again soon. read more

This is one of the most beautiful bars I've ever been to. The view is a million dollar one. I'm not sure there's a better place to drink a beer in PT. The whole menu is amazing, but what really sells me on this place is their canned section. This allows them sell beers from all over Washington and more. I had a couple drafts and a couple from the canned selection. They were all delicious, but the prices were the most appetizing part. Another cool thing about this bar is that they have a book of local delivery places that will walk into the bar with your food. I mean.... that's a lazy gals dream. I'm obsessed. If I ever get to go back I hope to play patonk outside, beer in hand, and stare out into the sea. It really makes you wish you lived closer to the ocean. read more

I think that my friend and I may have stayed at the same nasty ass hotel with the incredible stanky ass rooms that Bitsy G was yelpin' about. Luckily, thanks to an underage drinker in town giving us the tip on this place and hearin' the rocking music from the balcony of the stank hotel in order to get some fresh air, we headed over here. This place was great! There is an excellent selection of bottled beer, which I luv, luv!! The outside space is HUGE with a ton of seating. They had very talented band playing and almost everyone was dancing along. I think what made it excellent was all the locals having a great time here. I also loved the diversity and range of ages in this place.I will add that when Pourhouse can afford it, heat lamps would make an excellent addition to the outdoor area. I WISH it were possible to post video on Yelp b/c I got some good stuff at this bar. Everyone was incredibly friendly and genuine. All and all this is most definitely the bar to hit when visiting or living in Port Townsend. read more

Probably the most worthy beer destination in Port Townsend. It's a bit hard to find due to the warehouse-like location and the inconspicuous signage. We drove past it and had to circle back. There were about a dozen beers on tap, but all of them were interesting. They have no kitchen so there is no 'real' food to speak of but you can get nuts, pretzels, cheese, etc. and there are menus around to order in from various restaurants. There is also a great selection of beer in bottles, all stored in coolers. There wasn't as many beers as you will find in the larger bottle shops. but it looks like they concentrated on getting great stuff to offset their somewhat limited capacity. Friendly, efficient and very helpful staff. When I'm back in PT I'll be back here. read more

Turn off your shell phone and be shore to smile while dropping in for a cold beverage here on the patio. We pulled in here mid-afternoon after visiting Olympic National Park and were pleasantly surprised. While it may not look like more than a hole in the wall street side, when you pull into the parking lot, the sweeping views of the Port itself will take your breath away. The patio is easily accessible for dogs from the parking lot. Our dog loved lounging under the picnic table and taking a quick walk down to the water, a stone's throw from the patio. This spot in any other part of the country would have been PACKED to the brim on a sunny afternoon, but we were able to snag a picnic table seat directly against the railing with insane views of the boats traveling into and out of the port. My only complaint: when sitting at the picnic tables, the railing of the patio is DIRECTLY at eye level. I noticed many people sitting on top of the table to take in the views (which we ended up doing too). While this solution works, it's makes eating off these tables a little unappetizing (we didn't eat here). If I were a designer, I would have built out a short counter railing for the patio and provided stools- then I could spend all day here watching the boats with a chilled glass or five of rose unencumbered. It would be easy to let a whole afternoon slip away here. I'm a sucker for any sort of lawn/beach game and Pourhouse offers Bocce Ball, ping pong and washers. While I'm not a beer drinker, my fiance is and he had a GREAT IPA. You do have to go inside to order drinks from the bar itself, there was NO service on the patio. There is no food here, all menu items are ordered to-go from other local restaurants and delivered to the bar. read more
