New location for Pour Decisions after they opened in San Jose. When I walked in, the staff casually mentioned they could do a matcha latte with pandan cream. Off-menu, no big deal. Best decision I've made to follow their advice. The pandan adds this floral, slightly coconutty thing that makes the matcha feel way more interesting than your standard order. Will come again next time for this! The peach mango jasmine was okay. I think they brewed the jasmine tea either too long because it was bitter. It was a sweet banana forward matcha as to be expected by the name, and good for dessert. Listen -- if I'm going to shell out close to ten dollars on a beverage, it better have great quality coffee/espresso, unique flavors that I can't get elsewhere, and house-made syrups. Emphasis on the house-made syrups. A latte with Monin/Torani, in this economy?! No, thank you! This place checks all those boxes, and I highly recommend you try it. Personally, I'm partial to their banana latte, and think their banana matcha would probably be bomb. I've tried the gingerbread latte (enjoyed this one), vanilla latte (my least favorite because they use a store-bought French Vanilla syrup), blueberry latte (loved their house-made blueberry puree and foam!) and apple-cinnamon latte. I was able to customize these drinks in terms of milk/sweetness, which I appreciated because the default is too sweet for me. All the workers were really nice, too! I needed to order a coffee drink with no coffee for someone sensitive to caffeine but who still really wanted to try a drink, and they were able to accommodate the request. The place itself is really cute too -- ample, comfy seating inside and some extra chairs outside. So, plenty of space to take advantage of the fact that this place also serves craft beer. He been really into ube coffee lately, so I've been waiting for them to open at the end of the Ranch 99 / Nob Hill Plaza. The ube iced coffee is Vietnamese coffee with Ube cream and was exactly what I was looking for. The coffee was strong but not overly sweet. They also have lots of interesting lattes like peanut butter, pandan, banana, so I'll definitely need to try the other flavors. Craft beers are also available. I also appreciate that they have high quality plastic cups. The owner was there himself, and the team was knowledgeable and on top of things even though the grand opening was just yesterday. Seating is limited inside, but Jett is a small table surface for those who want to work there, and there are additional chairs and bench seating. They do have additional seats outside, and they have a bathroom. For food, they have pastries, but Bonus: they have Duc Huong combo sandwiches on weekends!
