Truly amazing spot. It was fairly slow. I'm a big advocate of fast service. Once they got to me after sitting at a bar with 4 other people for more than 5 minutes i was able to get my beer, cool. Video games here are geared towards 7 and up, food here is geared towards 10+. Not the best place for toddlers. My burger was SENSE-A-TION-AL. Tons of avocado, perfectly seared thin patties, everything was legit. My nephews, both in high school loved the basketball and foosball. I was a big fan of the food. All i wanted to do was drink my beer and eat my burger but they wanted me to do so much shit with them. It's like dude - I'm away from my kids and my family yet here you are wanting me to do everything with you? Alright. It was fun though. Really solid family spot.

First time , I love the game room they made after taking over the business next door! The order and pay at table with QR Code worked so smoothly , I had a house made cocktail and I was tasty my partner got a pint of the Luz , actually had 2 , we ordered the fried shrimp and the roasted Brussel sprouts. They both were super flavorful. We also had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Swiss,Avocado, teriyaki sauce and a side of tater tots. I heard a rumor they will open the old Hardware store in the back as part of their Brewery and that's cool! It's a cool, easy going place and definitely family friendly and easy to navigate. I'm kinda old school and prefer the idea of a server at the table but in all honesty I get how it works in this case. We ordered from our phone and our stuff came super fast even as we added stuff and it was at our pace so that was a win!! We will definitely be back and probably with some of the teenage grandkids! I want to play some games in the game room.

Good beer variety. Ambiance was Great, food, games was a Great mix. Downside....Hooks should be installed under the Tables for a woman purse. It is unsanitary and tacky to keep on the table. Bar ran out of a certain Tequila, haven't heard of that one before. It's cool for the staff to wear what they want but, it's annoying to know who works there and who doesn't. Think they need at-least a company shirt.

Wife and daughter were on Spring break so I decided to treat myself. All I know was that I wanted to watch the NCAA championship game and a burger so I tried Ghostwood. First time here, Ghostwood is a very cool place. The place has 6 LED televisions, videos games, a bar, pinball machines, and basketball machines. Ghostwood has an open, and friendly atmosphere. You can place your orders on your phone or through the waiters. Luis was very friendly and helpful; He took my orders: Redwood burger, house salad and a diet coke. The burger and salad were fresh and tasty. Luis would come by and asked me if I needed anything; great customer service. I will come back with my family so they can see and enjoy Ghostwood.

Everything is really great here! No kidding, food, drinks and service. Really hard to compete with this and family friendly with outdoor seating area. I come often to hang out day or night is great. Good job guys!

Burger and cheese curds - NO LONGER THIS (updated 2/1/25)

Still obsessed. Still coming back. Still telling everyone. This spot continues to hit--especially with their ever-expanding menu. I rarely show up on a truly empty stomach (rookie mistake), so I keep missing the chance to fully dive into the big dishes. But watching their menu grow? Love that for them. Love that for me. Cocktails? Always evolving. Since my last visit, they've added two more mezcal drinks (bless) and a matchatini, which... sorry, but that one's a no from me. The smash burger is a staple. Always a hit. Though funny enough, the one time I ordered it starving, it didn't slap the way it usually does when my partner gets it. (Maybe it's just science that your partner's food always tastes better--iykyk.) That said, his smash burger with bacon was literally cooked to perfection. Like, textbook perfect. And the cheese curds? As always: flawless. Golden, melty, bite-sized happiness. To drink: * Matchatini - not it. * Mi Casa - a go-to, though last time it tasted slightly different? Still solid. * Mandarin Mezcal Mirage - decent. * Blueberry Mojito - my all-time fave. Pro tip: order the regular mojito and ask for blueberry. It never misses. Also, shoutout to that 9-11pm happy hour--50% off drinks! (It used to go until close, RIP to that beautiful era ) We tried the Ghostwood Trio too: * Brussels sprouts - could've been a bit softer, but still tasty. * Cheese curds - again, undefeated. * Chicken bites - crispy, flavorful, gone in seconds. Still obsessed. Already planning the next visit.

Buffalo Chicken Salad Classic Caesar Salad

Ghostwood Kitchen is an absolute gem in downtown Redwood City! The space strikes the perfect balance between modern and cozy--with an open layout, chill vibe, and plenty of seating. What really sets it apart is the arcade area and stash of board games that make it feel like the kind of place you could easily spend hours in. I ordered the ceasar salad and my friend ordered the buffalo chicken salad (as wraps) and WOW--bursting with flavor, super fresh, and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere. Prices were more than fair for the quality, and the service was just as impressive--everyone was friendly, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming. Already planning my next visit to try the smash burger and dive into their specialty cocktail menu (matcha martini peaked my interest (; Ghostwood Kitchen is officially my new go-to spot in the area. Highly recommend!

Espresso Martini ($7.50)

Date: Friday, February 21st, 2025 Time: around 9:30pm Party of: 6 What: After Dinner Drinks *Cabernet Sauvignon ($7) *Mi Casa ($7.50) *Blushing Barrel Sour ($8) *Ghostwood G&T ($8) *Espresso Martini ($7.50) x2 We had dinner nearby and wanted to do one more stop. One in our party did some searching and found Ghostwood. We easily found a table for our party of six. All tables have QR codes on them, so you just order everything online. And then pay online when done. It was pretty easy. Tho Idk if they didn't get our full order as half our drinks showed up first and the other half were no where to be found. We had to flag down a server to ask. They quickly remedied and sent us our remaining drinks. I was shocked by their pricing here. Very fairly priced. I don't know if there is some kind of HH pricing on Friday nights, but I'm always surprised if I see any drinks under $10 these days, let alone $8 or under. I got the espresso martini. It was fine. Too sweet for me, but okay for my friend. I like my coffee black, no sugar, so I found myself wishing they went lighter on the sweetness. Idk if you are allowed to note this on their online ordering system. A nice place to grab a drink. It's not on the main road, so a bit more chill which I happen to like. Plus, can't beat their prices on a Fri night. Tho the online ordering mishap made me miss the human interaction part of going too a bar. REVIEW #3713

My husband and I went here on a date night for some drinks and snacks and had the best time. Their margaritas are so good and we really enjoyed the sampler platter of appetizers! I do kind of feel like services could have been quicker but for a bar atmosphere it was chill and so were we!

Sliders with fries, really good! The smash burgers are perfect size!

Soooo...I ain't afraid of no GHOST! Ahhh!! Such a lovely surprise this cute little foodery in downtown RWC! They have an interesting menu of gastropub grub, and it will make you want to order a few appetizers and entrees! I ordered the Ghostwood Trio to start, you pick 3 appetizers off their app menu. I picked Fried Shrimp, Fried Pickles, Cheese Curds. Dang, you can really get carried away here. The apps come with loads of sauces! I must note that a very kind Angel marked all the names of the sauces on the container lids (my order was to-go), so sweet and thoughtful! Thank you! The Cheese Curds are really good! The shrimps were a little over done and I'm not a fan of fried pickles, that's just me. My entree I ordered the Sliders with Fries. The sliders a smaller smash burgers and really, really good. The little buns are grilled and the burgers are smashed with American cheese. The fries are just the way I like them, bigger than average and crisp but soft. Loved this! The smash burgers are perfect. You can order an additional burger for an extra minimal charge. They're really good. Please give these kind folks a try when you're in the area. Really great gastropub grub, casual and tasty!

The pastrami was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, layered generously in the sandwich. Every bite was rich and satisfying without feeling too heavy. The garlic fries topped with pastrami were just as good--crispy fries loaded with savory, flavorful meat and just the right amount of garlic. Super indulgent and perfect for sharing (or not). You can tell this is a popular, staple spot--there's a reason people keep coming back. Overall, a solid choice if you're craving something hearty and flavorful. Would come back to try more off the menu.

We ordered: -Onion rings: Super crispy and the onion didn't fall out with each bite. The ranch also was very tasty! -the Reuben: Crispy bread that paired perfectly with the pastrami meat. The Swiss cheese added even more flavor to the sandwich. -Philly cheesesteak: PASS. The meat tasted super stinky and paired with the melted cheese made it even worse. Will not order this ever again. Overall, this place is ok for a quick lunch. They have a wide variety of beers which is nice. I'd only return if I was desperate for a pastrami sandwich in this specific area.
