They put a table together for us on arrival, as it wasn't yet prepped. The place was hopping but not completely slammed. We were given slips of paper and a quick run down on the Wednesdays night steak special. Mark your desired stesk temp, add your name & number, pass over the attached drink ticket for the included domestic beer or well drink. Wait staff was upbeat and friendly. Though service wasn't super speedy, it was accurate. Additional drinks were provided before we were empty. The ribeye was cooked correctly and well-seasoned. We were provided baked potatoes and access to the other sides- baked beans (excellent tri-bean recipe), macaroni salad (I skipped it) & corn. There were also condiments and sauces at the station. Restaurant was not reduced capacity, no masks, no sanitizer & patrons shared serving utensils. I'd say 3.5 stars overall. The price was reasonable and food was good. Drinks got stronger as the day went by. Server took a group pic as well, without us having to ask... that was awesome.

When the steak is done, you head to the side-serving table where you get your baked potato (butter, sour cream, sal, pepper, heinz 57 & A1 are available here) and self-serve up the remaining sides of home-made calico baked beans, macaroni salad & veggies. If you go away hungry, you only have yourself to blame. The steak was cooked as ordered. Service was good though not speedy. There were 7 of us &we tend not to rush, so, it worked well. It was a good value and I'd go back. I would also pile on more beans and skip the macaroni salad next time.

We were immediately greeted & seated with a lake view. Offered water while we selected drinks & given the details on the specials, which rotate. We've driven by so many times without realizing what we were missing, thinking it was just a lakeside bar. I'm so glad we decided to swing in once hearing about the "not bar fare food" being served. Seafood in North Dakota, ehhhh, how brave do you feel? We started with shrimp stuffed shrooms. It only comes with 3, but they are piled high. It turns out we really didn't need an app, as I'm currently eating my boxed up food while I'm writing this review. I honestly haven't been in such a personable place in a long time &, no, we aren't regulars or locals. We were given a tip to come back for seafood Sunday- maybe... The beef was all tender & juicy - cooked to a perfect med-rare. The hubs had the hanger steak & I opted for the lavash special- which was a BOGO - buy the Philly & get a seafood version free. Veggies were all fresh, no canned/frozen soggy stuff here, nice & crisp. When we were checked in on, my response to "is everything tasting ok?" was simply "wow" with an "I know, right?" bounced back.

We headed to the restaurant and got seated immediately. My husband and I ordered drinks, which for me included a dirty martini with extra olives. The drink was tasty and the extra olives were very welcome. The appetizers were very tasty. Although it was the first time I had bruschetta and the bruschetta was not on the bread when we got it or finely chopped. I must say though it has very good flavor. The poutine fries were a delight and seasoned well! The dinners were a bit of a let down for all of us. My son ordered his burger medium rare and it came well done. My habanero honey chicken sandwich was underwhelming. The chicken was dry and the honey habanero sauce had no "wow" flavor. I would say the atmosphere of the restaurant itself was nice. We might come back for an appetizer and drink but, we will not be ordering dinner. For the price compared to quality, it just was not worth it, sad to say.
