Within 15min or so, it cleared out & we ended up staying here at our happy little table til just before close. Again, no real indication that they were participating in th crawl - aside from others with rock solid 8" high bangs & a few tiny inflatable 80s themes items. The big difference here was not feeling like we were a bother for paying to be there. I also hear they have a mean grilled cheese... hm

This review is for the liquor store side…read more This is twice in a row that I've questioned our total. I will give you my order and let you math it out... 10 mini shooters at 69 cents each + 2 bottles at $4.99 each = $26.97 ... I had a $20 in hand & said, "wait, I don't think that's right..." to which she replied, "oh, you're right, I didn't scan this one [beep from machine] - ok, $37.48" ... whoa! So, I re-stated the prices & number of items. She looked confused. The other guy helping said "they didn't ring up correctly" ...something I would think someone would have noticed - 12 items and zero rang up as priced? Sketchy at best. This is an ongoing issue & they do not give receipts, so, you are left guessing unless you add it up on your own. I have no doubt I've overpaid & see other complaints of overcharging. I won't be back. Why the 2nd star then? They do have a lot of items that I can't get elsewhere... a shame...

What's changed since my last recmview is the rooftop area, which I didn't use today (-17 out) & I hope wasn't actually open! The rooftop seating is great, tho it does get rather busy. I should note this still isn't the place to come for a solid craft cocktail- rather, exactly as is implied, it's a decent place for a game & average brews. Neither are really my calling, so, I don't see myself becoming a regular- tho I will come in periodically for a visit to the 1 of 2 rooftops here.

Food 2 Service 1…read morePrice 3 But the sangria was decent... New Year's Eve, 630ish as a party of 5. We had called ahead and were advised to come as walk ins as it wasn't very busy. We were seated rather quickly and given menus / asked for drink orders that's where the positives end. The drinks came 20min later (650) & the gal still wasn't ready to take our food order. About 10min after delivering drinks (7), our food order was taken. Now, I know this isn't fast food but it isn't a scratch kitchen either. I've no doubt staff had called in/taken off with it being NYE. Still, it was over half an hour before the food came out (745)- of course drinks were gone by now. One patron asked for water. It came with the rcpt an hour later. We had braced ourselves for the worst after watching 2 other tables return food & seeing who I presume was a manager come offer to make things right for another table, with the patron having refused the food/replacement. I had the chicken wonton tacos app, that was ok. My hubs ordered the fiesta chicken and it was inedible. I'd guess it had been sitting there since before we arrived. The rice was dry & crunchy, yes, rice that you could hear the crunch from. The dish was also at room temperature. We attempted to flag down the server for our bill right at 8pm (we had a 9pm event, which is why I was watching the time). She said she'd be there in a moment then cleared 2 tables and disappeared in the back. At 815, she came back to the table - I just handed over the credit card and advised we were ready to pay. (We had not complained, we didn't send anything back. We really just wanted to go at this point.) She placed the card on the table and said she'd be back with the bill. It was now 830 and we were starting to get pretty annoyed. This is about when she showed up with the bill, laid it next to the card and started to leave. I said "hold up" and handed the card/bill to her stating that we were ready to pay. She hesitantly accepted the bill and card, then went to clear a table, instead of to the till. She stopped by and dropped off the requested water. We were laughing in awe at this point. 855pm... it was 855pm when she brought the card back. It was steady, but not crazy busy. I cannot fathom how it took 630-9pm, 2.5hrs to eat at a fast casual restaurant. One round of drinks & one order of food, which was old & crusty - plus, we were ready to order on arrival. We thought we were going to need to kill time, as we thought we would be too early for our 9pm event with 630pm dining - instead, we were over 15min late to arrive... sigh
