After trying and failing to come up with a New Year plan, headed here for their Xmas themed Holiday Bar. They were out of a few items, 2 of which we tried to order, before finally asking what all they didn't have. I opted for the pork chop with blueberry balsamic and it was really good. I tried 2 of the special Xmas drinks and tasted the 2 my wife had. All of them were good. I'll probably stop in closer to Xmas for 2025 & embrace the spirit!

While in Minot for business, my beautiful wife and I had lunch at Iron Horse Kitchen and Bar. The dining area was spacious and architecturally designed to highlight the features of this historic building in the downtown district. Service was friendly and quick. Cocktails were tasty and very well made. I had the bacon cheeseburger which was delicious and my beautiful enjoyed the steak salad with a house made vinaigrette. Our server recommended an espresso kiosk in town that we really liked. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone interested in a great meal while visiting the historic downtown district.

I came to Minot with Dr. Chewy (she specializes in Oxyology) because she had a grooming session at Petco. My husband however failed to tell me I needed a MD/vet note validating Dr. Chewy is in good health because she is over 10 years old. And we got turned away at Petco. How rude!!! The $200 grocery money he gave me all of a sudden turned into Ulta and food money because A-A-Ron (not my husband's name btw) messed up. We went to Ironhorse Kitchen and unfortunately Dr. Chewy could not come in, even though she invented oxygen. Once I walked in, I was glad made the decision to come here because the vibe was fresh, incredible lighting, gastro'y, and lively. I started with a drink called "Trust Us" where you tell the server what flavor and liquor you like and the bartender improvises your drink. I like citrus and mangos and vodka, it was soooo refreshing! For the app, it was fried pickles with jalapeño ranch, HIGHLY recommend. The entree was Steak Frites with chimichurri sauce. Now I NOT ever had chimichurri other than watching it on a Gordon Ramsey show. And Oh Em Gee! It may have looked odd because of the color but it complemented the steak so well! *Side note, I ordered the steak medium and it was the best medium. From now on I'm ordering chimichurri with my steak. I had incredible service, Sidney, my server was so happy and cool and that made such a difference. Recommend: The Trust Us cocktail, Fried Pickles with jalapeño ranch, and Steak Frites.

Steak frites with side of veggies (such good beans!). If you're snooping, my friend ordered the chicken bacon ranch salad and loved it.

I've been in Minot for a week for work and I've tried a handful of awesome restaurants in the awesome downtown, but I gotta say, this one takes the (cheese)cake. The menu is wonderfully curated with great options to choose from. I ordered the Steak Frites with a side of the chefs vegetables (fresh beans) and it was so delicious and reasonably priced. I was so full by the end of the meal but ordered the cheesecake to go - homemade raspberry white chocolate. Holy yum. Our service was great thanks to the incredibly charming bartender/waiter. I definitely plan to stop here again before we leave Minot!

Stopped in for dinner and drink at the bar. Good vibe and good food. If I'm ever in town again.... I'll come back and drink and mellow out at the bar.

Came here on date night and can I just say that this place is amazing! Their fried steak bites is delicious and the burgers were amazing, would definitely come back here for date nights. The service was also amazing can't beat that! The scenery was nice as well.

No hesitation in giving this Gastro Pub 5 stars! Went with colleagues for dinner based on mostly complimentary Google reviews. Did not disappoint. The restaurant is tastefully and minimalistic ally designed with a large bar on one side. We were promptly seated and attended to by Ryan, the bartender. He was friendly, professional and easy/fun to converse with! Service was fantastic. We ordered Steak Bites, Caprese Skewers, and Fries Flight (a heavenly tray loaded with Waffle Fries, Regular Hand Cut Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, and Tator Tots) as appetizers, followed by Build Your Own Burgers (akin to Bacon Cheeseburger, and Jalapeño Lovers Burger with Roasted Corn on the side - the Prairie Sky Breads jalapeño cheddar bun was divine, as was the Muenster Cheese; the bun is prepared at the bakery across the street), and Honey Habanero Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Drinks consisted of Stella Rosa Moscato D'Asti (peach, apricot, honey, from the Riboli Family Estates, Piedmont, Italy 2019), Honoro Vera Garnacha (raspberry, currant, juicy cherry, spice, from Bodegas Ateca, Calatayud, Spain, 2019), and Chipper - Fargo Brewing IPA. A memorable meal overall, not just for the elevated food and drinks, but also for the exceptional service! Prices were extremely reasonable, given current inflationary times. Glad we visited; plan to return!

What a great place to visit when in Minot! I am in Minot on a work trip and was looking for local restaurants to try, and stopped here because of good reviews and recommendations by locals. I enjoyed the variety of items on the menu, and went two nights during my week here because of that. The staff is very friendly and greeted me immediately, even remembering me the second time I went back this week. They have great local options on tap, and remembered what I had the first night and gave me a recommendation for a different IPA to try. The first night the steak was good, though cooked a little bit more than I ordered, and the broccoli was a bit salty for my preference. My second visit I ordered the salmon, which was cooked well and very tasty. I sat at the bar and was able to watch sports on the tvs there, so I cannot speak to how noise was in the dining room, but I did not notice the loudness that others described in their reviews. I thought the space was nice, and the bar comfortable. I would definitely return my next time in Minot!

It's mostly cheap frozen french fries cooked in dangerous seed oil canola oils. Not really a good atmosphere either. Very stark and loud.

They put a table together for us on arrival, as it wasn't yet prepped. The place was hopping but not completely slammed. We were given slips of paper and a quick run down on the Wednesdays night steak special. Mark your desired stesk temp, add your name & number, pass over the attached drink ticket for the included domestic beer or well drink. Wait staff was upbeat and friendly. Though service wasn't super speedy, it was accurate. Additional drinks were provided before we were empty. The ribeye was cooked correctly and well-seasoned. We were provided baked potatoes and access to the other sides- baked beans (excellent tri-bean recipe), macaroni salad (I skipped it) & corn. There were also condiments and sauces at the station. Restaurant was not reduced capacity, no masks, no sanitizer & patrons shared serving utensils. I'd say 3.5 stars overall. The price was reasonable and food was good. Drinks got stronger as the day went by. Server took a group pic as well, without us having to ask... that was awesome.

The way it works is that you order the steak cooked as desired. When the steak is done, you head to the side-serving table where you get your baked potato (butter, sour cream, sal, pepper, heinz 57 & A1 are available here) and self-serve up the remaining sides of home-made calico baked beans, macaroni salad & veggies. If you go away hungry, you only have yourself to blame. The steak was cooked as ordered. Service was good though not speedy. There were 7 of us &we tend not to rush, so, it worked well. It was a good value and I'd go back. I would also pile on more beans and skip the macaroni salad next time.

Talk about a quintessential mom and pop bar that serves great, non-pretentious food. There were three choices of steak, and a few potato side dishes to choose from. No frills, all thrills. The steak was labeled as 12 ounces, but I'm not sure what their benchmark was. It was a heaping side of cow, easily 20-24 ounces. They treated the meat well, like royalty, and did their damnedest to NOT screw up quality ingredients. I ordered my steak medium rare, and exactly like so, it appeared before me like a magicians trick. A beautiful, meaty, delicious magicians trick. LoL. There was a fantastic hard sear on the outside, and inside, a gorgeous pink medium rare that just melted in your mouth. The owner was in the kitchen visible from our table, and didn't break a sweat cranking out plate after plate of tasty cow. I'd put this steak up against the best steakhouses I've been to around the world. Who knew you could get this at a joint like Harbor Bar and Grill, for a mere $25?
