Naked Moose II is the best restaurant in Loraine, ND (population: 9). As the only restaurant, this is no surprise. But Naked Moose may also be the best restaurant in the northern third of the central portion of North Dakota*, and that is an impressive feat. We came on a Tuesday, when the restaurant has but a simple pub menu (jalapeño poppers, chicken drumsticks, cheese curds, gizzard (!), and the like). I tried all the above plus a French dip steak sandwich. Solid. But Jacqueline of Regina, Saskatchewan, the new owner as of this month, is the focus of this ode. An incredibly welcoming and talented hostess, she is reason alone to come back. And the six slices of rum cake and Bailey's cake she brought us didn't hurt. I even got a glass and a mug as parting gifts. We will return for the weekend prime rib night, despite the 60 mile drive. There is something oh so peaceful about dinner with a backdrop of grain silos, and the forthcoming patio will only add to that North Dakota charm. * For the sake of argument: Renville, Bottineau, Rolette, Towner, McHenry, and Pierce counties, as well as Ward county (excluding the northwestern portion that looks like a dinosaur's head) and the western 64% of Benson county. Loved the food and atmosphere here. We came and had Bacon cheeseburgers which were delicious. Great rum cake for dessert... Service was wonderful and our server was friendly and helpful.. Bought tee shirts and mugs to remember the place. Definitely will go there again. read more

Once again, The Naked Moose did not disappoint. I am completely convinced they have the best steak in ND! The best cuts, best flavor and the best atmosphere are found here. The ladies up front are so hospitable and the chef's skills are unrivaled! We have been here a few times, but had not brought our 8 year old son until tonight. He equally enjoyed his dinner and the hospitality! Of course... We'll be back! read more

The food is amazing, they have a beautiful deck and the gazebo is very cool. They also have very good service for only 4 people running it.

I have no idea why I waited so long to try the place. The food was absolutely amazing and the waitress was sweet as can be as was the manager that checked on us. It is CASH ONLY, they have an ATM but come prepared. read more

This place is in the middle of nowhere, but is the best place to eat anywhere near Minot. My wife and I made it out to The Naked Moose on a date night. We both got the Wagyu steak, which they cooked to perfection and the rum cake for dessert which we devoured. The staff was extremely friendly and the food quick to come out. For where they are I would rather come here than anyplace in mohall for what there doing for the place they have this was an experience the food was good and the service was good and it was something to be at aww with scratch made bun for the hamburger was what sold me they cooked 6 steaks to perfect order and I asked for my burger to be medium rare and the picture says it all I am judging this place to the surrounding area and it literally makes the rest look like amateur hour a need to go if ever in the Minot/Mohall area read more
