Great and consistent Cesar's!!! Bar food is the same as any other bar. Fun clean bar. Plenty of TVs for events like football.

I just had a wild hair to pull off the side of the road to have a dive burger. And let me tell you,…read moreit was divine. I ordered the jalapeño poppers, which was kind of a fusion thing. It was popper stuffed egg rolls. Secret cheeses and diced peppered, deep fried in the wrap. Really really good and unique. I had to try the Bacon Macaroni and Cheese burger. It was really incredible, coming from a restaurant in a town with a population of 300+ folks. The burger was thick, and perfectly cooked. Not too dry, with a slightly juicy light pink center. The Mac and cheese and the bacon crumbles were so good and the potato roll was soft and I just loved it . I could only eat half, the rest is coming on the plane ride home. I don't know when I will be back, but I'm glad I stopped!! I wish them luck! PS: The sweet tea was perfect too, for a hot summer day and the cool breeze of ND. Friendly service, unsuspecting amazing food!

We drove down to Max to try out a bar and grill a good friend recommended - The Red Light Bar and…read moreGrill. Unfortunately their cook was hospitalized and their kitchen was closed so we went to the other option in Max: Pour Choices Bar and Grill - formerly The Max Cafe. Pour Choices Bar and Grill was having their Grand Opening Weekend so we decided to eat lunch there. My buddy ordered an Aloha Burger which he said was just ok but he said the fries were great. I ordered the Chicken Wing Basket they were excellent, very nicely rendered and crispy. I ordered garlic parmesan wings and they had very good flavor and even with the garlic parmesan they remained crispy and delicious. The wing basket comes with fries and cole slaw but don't get the waffle fries unless you want a $3 up charge! We ate in the bar and it was dimly lit and I didn't see that the waffle fries was an upcharge, I thought it said the wings came with waffle fries and cole slaw but they assured me when charging that the menu said it was extra... 4 Stars for the wings but minus one for the food taking a very long time... 35-40 minutes to come out and it wasn't that busy but I'd still recommend eating there but YMMV. We'll definitely make another drive to Max and try out the Red Light next time. One thing that does bother me is the waitress just announced the bill total without presenting a printed bill for the customer to examine and then pay. I had to ask for a printout and I think that should be a given. $14 wings and a $3 Pepsi turned out to be $21+ because I didn't see the fine print about the waffle fries. They were very good waffle fries but had I known I wouldn't have opted for the extra $3 charge as the regular fries would have been plenty good to have as well.

I like Teddy's because it's a cocktail spot that is easy going. After getting hit with a sudden…read morecase of empty nest syndrome, I came to Teddy's for moscato, reading, and dinner. The dining room was pretty busy with only a bartender/server. I pretty much assumed it would be a little wait but this girl totally rocked it. I was served right away and got my drinks on time. Fried pickle spears were on the menu and of course I ordered them and a club sandwich with fries. The fried pickle spears tasted how it was supposed to taste, they did have shredded Parmesan cheese on top. If wish NOT to have the cheese on top, let your server know beforehand. The club sandwich and fries looked very good. Buuuuut...there was a bit too much provolone cheese, no mayo, and the bread could have been toasted a little more. I did take some of the cheese out of the sandwich and it was pretty good, just needed some mayo. The fries are fresh cut and have a good taste but the texture inside was either mushy or a little too firm. I'm not a chef but when I make fresh cut fries I soak them in ice water before and that gives a good fry. Now here comes the....downside. Unfortunately the dining chairs are dirty and I was a bit uneasy sitting in one until I switched it for another chair that didn't have cloth seats. Star's (the one woman bartender/server) customer service is what made my experience comfortable. She was so helpful, friendly with a cute smile.
