Do NOT trust them. I handled financing weeks ahead. When I got into the office, they had change the offer based on incorrect information, and tried to give me *20%* loan. Incompetent and predatory. They swore up and down that this was a reliable car, and would pass inspection for at least a year, probably 2 or 3. It failed less than 6 months later, because of the tires, which I had specifically pointed out. They lied to my face about them being in good condition, and when I brought it up, they said that the *paperwork* said that it wouldn't pass inspection, despite their repeated verbal claims. I also negotiated the price ahead of time. The entire office was *pissed.* When I got there, they clearly thought I was someone they could take advantage of. Updating my review to less as I have now dealt with the reported noise as directed by Poulin and discovered that the problem I reported to them back then was not even resolvable by the method they suggested due to being out of warrantee (by the MILEAGE, which was the case at the time of the sale.) I now have an upcoming bill of over 5K to fix the problem that was there at the time of the sale. I am pretty miffed and will share my thoughts with them directly, but needed to warn others to be careful about TSBs with Subarus... they aren't recalls, but they are coverage under warrantees if the vehicle is technically still eligible. Mine was--just before I drove it off the lot-- so it should have been handled before the sale, to assure that it was within good business practice! read more

Whatever you do, DO NOT do business with Poulin Auto Sales in Barre, VT! I traded in a 2018 Toyota Camry and bought a 2018 GMC Acadia from these people. The car LITERALLY broke down on the way home. They came and got it the next day, gave me a car to use while they looked into the Acadia. Two weeks later, I got my "new" car back. Then it started bucking like it was having issues switching gears. Their garage said they couldn't do anything because no codes popped up. Took it to my garage who said I needed a new transmission. Luckily my warranty covered that, but it unfortunately did not stop the bucking. I have had this car for a year and 1000% regret buying from Poulin. I thought being a small family owned company, they wouldn't rip me off but boy was I wrong. Now I'm going to have to take a pretty big loss and trade it because I just cannot stand driving this car anymore and no one is going to give me what I owe on this POS. I have bought three vehicles from Poulins. A 1998 Honda civic and I had that for three years. I then bought a 2007 Toyota Camry XLE in a champagne gold color and It was LOADED.. Honest review- I hate buying cars, the pressure in negotiating, the fear of buying a junker, it all is overwhelming. However, walking onto the lot at Poulin, we were immediately warmly welcomed, just gauging what we were interested in. Jeff and team gave us their opinion on what we were looking for, the appropriate price range for those vehicles and wonderful information around what issues they might come with and what we should be looking out for prior to purchasing. This was so honest and helpful in our decision making!! The team then shared a few additional cars that we might be interested in based on our budget and AWD. We were far from pressured, and left with a car in less than 2 hours!! Easy, seamless negotiating, we were given exactly what we asked for and provided everything that was promised to us (Brand new snow tires, along with other items) on a receipt to come back later this week for install. He worked very hard for us and it was a painless experience. Chris and Audi in Finance worked magic. We had very specific limits that we wanted to stick to, and they made it happen. Mike and Jo in service have been extremely accommodating and kind. I trust this dealership to be honest and to work their hardest to get their customers the best deal possible. Poulin Auto sure does stand by their motto: "changing the way you feel about buying a car". We feel misled, taken advantage of, and treated with complete and utter disrespect by the staff at Poulin. We went into this dealership looking for a reliable work truck. We left the dealership with a truck that we will be lucky if it lasts us 6 months, never mind the life of the loan that we had to take out to purchase it. Charay Beard and Travis Bailey are the employees that we dealt with through the entire process. Charay is the sales professional and Travis is the general sales manager. When we asked her a question she would always answer it. When she did not know an answer, she would go and ask Travis Bailey. That being said, we knew upon purchasing this truck that the following were repairs that we would have to pursue: the radio was still locked (a fix that Charay had promised to fix prior to purchase), the shifter needed work, and the doors didn't lock (We were told by both Charay and Travis that all we had to do was get a new key made it would work no problem - we did this and still the key does not work). We both asked Charay prior to the purchase of the truck "Is there anything other than the list above wrong with the truck?" Her answer to us was "No." Had she not known the answer, Charay should have asked just like every other question that she did not know the answer to. Below I want you to see, so that you know as the reader how Poulin sells vehicles to their customers. This is a list that since we purchased the truck on 1/28/17 (5 days ago) of significant problems with the truck that needs repair: * The horn did not work (This is a safety issue). * The emergency brake does not work * There was NO fluids in the transfer case (Since we have filled it, 4 days ago the transfer case has leaked over a quart onto our driveway) * The door locks will not function at all. * The front shocks were gone * The plow's push plates are lose and one is cracked therefore unsafe to plow with. * The wiring harness on the plow is damaged * Power steering pump has a significant leak (We had asked Charay after our initial test drive why there was power stearing fluid in the center console and her answer to us was "I don't know") * The tow hitch is cracked * Rather than repair the fuel / brake lines properly - they have patched in rubber hoses throughout the system. * Ground wire under the hood has arced out to the point where the cable has melted, broken, and is now hanging. You also should know that this vehicle was Poulin's delivery vehicle and was used to plow their lot for an extended period of time. Knowing this - Charay, Travis, and the rest of Poulin are well versed in the problems that the truck has. We were lied to on multiple occasions when asked what was wrong with the truck. It has now been 5 days since the purchase of the truck. We contacted Travis to discuss our concerns about this truck that was sold knowingly "as is" to us as a complete piece of crap. We listed everything off to Travis. Throughout the entire interaction, Travis only told us that they didn't know about these issues. This is a complete lie because this has been their delivery/plow truck for years. This conversation ended with no resolution. We then called his boss, Stephanie Nadeau. Stephanie is listed on the Poulin Auto site as the CFO of the company. We were placed on hold for a couple of minutes and then TRAVIS BAILEY gets on the line. We called within seconds of Travis hanging up with us and he intercepted us from contacting Stephanie and would not allow us to speak with her and the call was rudely ended by Travis hanging up on us midsentence. We were not rude or disrespectful and Travis still chose to hang up on us. Travis is an extremely unprofessional general sales manager. Had they been forthcoming with the issues that the truck has, we would not be in the situation that we are now. In addition, had they been more receptive to our multiple attempts to address the issues and concerns we would not be stuck with an unsafe vehicle. We are now stuck with a $10,000 paper weight. This dealership is HORRIBLE! Misleading liars who will not take care of problems that should have been their responsibility before the consideration of selling a vehicle. They don't legally inspect their vehicles, they will give you a run around, tell you not to call back, the owner even said it wasn't his problem and he was doing nothing to handle it. They paid my trade in late and lied stating they requested a payoff extension with the financial institution just to find out that they are not even authorized to do that. I am stuck with a leaking power steering component that has been leaking so long it rotted transmission lines. This is part of the state inspection that is supposed to be viewed. They lied about how long the car sat on the lot and denied my husband four separate time to view the under carriage on a lift. They don't know how to run a business and they are rude as hell when you have an issue. read more

Wow! Where should I start, We felt misled, cheated, lied to and Jerked around. Traded in two vehicles that were not paid off, so they became late payments with our bank. I had to call repeatedly and was told, don't worry it's being taken care of. WELL that was not the case. I had to call the owner to get any results. after being tossed between the two dealers ships and NO ONE kept their word. Was told we would get truck mats, had to fight to get them, called 5 times, and then got the cheapest mats which tore in one week. This is the frosting on the cake: Never received a new registration. I went to the DMV and was told that nothing had been submitted from the dealership, SO the registration has now run out, and we are going on a trip tomorrow, without a legal registration. Called the dealership, and was told it was sent in to the state the previous month, not according to the DMV! Spoke with one of the owners this am, and he has not gotten back to me, and I was told this would be rectified by the end of the day, and the registration would be delivered to me personally. Well it's 4:28 pm, and no one has called me. Well this has to be the most horrible experience I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I have lost time from work, and it has been very stressful.
