I hadn't been to a Potbelliy in years. I think because the last time I went, it was a horrible experience (note: it was the College Park Potbelly and not the Annapolis one). Not this time. We were able to order our sandwich and get it prepared pretty quickly and it was really pretty good. I was surprised. This is a great place to grab a bite before seeing a movie. We were there on Sunday evening, around 5 pm. It was a relatively quiet time for them. Both employees on that shift were SO pleasant and helpful. I wish I had gotten their names for a shout out. My husband ordered the Italian sub. I had the Mediterranean on flatbread. I am usually a fan of potbellies but this particular location is inconsistent. Depends on who is working there as to what kind of customer service you will get. The past two times I ordered a very simple sandwich, all toppings except hot peppers on white. Got home to find that my sub bread was almost burnt on the edges and crunchy and hot peppers were all over my sandwich making it trash can worthy. Also the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are a "go to" you can never go wrong with but the last two times I visited this store they were sold out, another big disappointment. read more

The customer service was terrible. The girl behind the counter was actually rubbing under her nose and then handling food and did not have gloves on. She let our sandwiches sit out of the cooker and get cold while we waited at least 5 minutes just standing there. Nobody else was in the restaurant. When she knew I wasn't happy about waiting she pretended she couldn't hear my order. She added way too much ranch when I asked for a little bit of ranch. So my husband just used it as his. Then when I said I would put it on myself she just didn't give me any ranch and she pretended she couldn't hear my order at all. Put hot sandwiches were cold. Bottom Line: An older Potbelly Sandwich Shop without a soda fountain but the sandwiches and salads are still tasty. I'm a big Potbelly Sandwich fan and one of the things I like about it is that they generally have iced tea, Coca-Cola and Pepsi products on tap. Unfortunately this location only has bottled beverages which just isn't the same to me. Otherwise, this Potbelly location is what I would expect. The salads and sandwiches are good and the atmosphere is nostalgic. My favorite healthy sandwich is the T-K-Y and the Med Salad and Powerhouse Salad never disappoint. For heartier options, I like the Mediterranean sandwich and Pizza sandwich. This location is right next to the Harbour 9 movie theater so it's a great place to get a fresh pre-show or post-show spot. read more

Placed a catering order 2/14/2022 for delivery at 11:45 on 2/17/2022. By 11:55 I had heard nothing so I called. After giving the name on my order, the guy says "ahh, yeah, we're about to bring that over to you & we'll see you in about 10-15 minutes." I could just tell by his voice/response that my order hadn't even been prepared let alone on its way to me, which would've already been late since we were already past the 11:45 delivery time. 12:30 rolls around & I have heard nothing. I should also say that the location of the store to my office is literally a 5 minute drive if you get 2 green lights. I call the store. Several times. No one ever picks up. Here I am writing this review at 1:20 without my Potbelly order, but waiting on a replacement catering order from NEO Pizza. One of the employees repeatedly dead-bolted both doors in order to dissuade customers from coming inside. This was in the middle of the lunch rush at 12:00 pm. I've never seen anything like it. Once a customer unlocked the door and left, she would stop making sandwiches, slowly walk to the door, lock it, and walk back to her station. This prolonged the amount of time it took her to attend to the customers in line. This meant it took her and her colleague 25 minutes to make my two sandwiches. Aside from being obviously poor judgment, this is an OSHA violation, since it creates a fire hazard. read more

Great menu! The menu is easy to work and has something for everyone. They have sandwiches for big and little. They have skinny sandwiches that are good for kids and dieters. I get them cause I never eat enough for a big one. The breads are delicious (I normally get the wheat) and the toppers are pretty fresh. They also do smoothies and shakes. They are listed under Yelp as being available for delivery, yet every time I have tried to place an order, both the delivery service and Potbelly claim they cannot do it. I will change the rating when they either honour deliveries as they claim, or they remove the option from Yelp altogether. Seriously delicious eats!! First let me say how great this location is. It is right by a movie theatre and shopping centers, and close to the highway. Every time I have come here the staff is friendly and patiently wait for me to choose what I want. The broccoli and cheese soup is out of this world! And the sandwiches are so yummy! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and makes you want to sit down and relax. I only wish the location was bigger! That is the only downfall. (Which is really just me being picky. My subs of choice are the pizza sub without pepperoni (or the PB & J which is creamy, huge and delicious, especially if you ask 'em to add banana) , but my wife is very partial to the meatball and provolone. I think that Potbelly is the best of the chain sandwich places. The bread is fresh and the meats are fresh and generous portions. I love their soup and sandwiches. This is unique sub sandwich that blows away Subway and Quizno's. They are very consistent from location to location. Sandwiches are good because they use quality ingredients, wow, what a concept. The bread is delicious and they toast in a conveyor oven to top it off for hot sandwiches. Overall this is a nice place. It took me a long time to go inside just because of the name. I mean, what do you think of when you hear "Potbelly?" I think of some fat, old geezer rubbing his belly every time he walks out. Anyway, I stumbled in one day and saw tuna on the menu. I LOVE tuna. And tuna is not bad for you. It's great for your! So I ordered my first BIG tuna sandwich some months ago and have never looked back. The staff is usually bright and joyful striking up conversations. Not a bunch of miserable order takers like you find at McDonald's. But the real bonus...they use swiss cheese! My favorite cheese! YAY!! More bonus notes, they have live entertainment some nights. Nothing special, but usually a guitarist with amplified sound. Adds a nice touch and makes you feel like your actually out for a night on the town...even though your only at Potbelly. The prices are just right. You don't need much. The sandwiches fill you up and all the sides are free. I usually just drink water and it makes for a super cheap lunch. A blessing in disguise in today's inflationary war. So my advice to you...check out Potbelly sometime soon. The GM and her staff at this location are a well oiled machine. Best part is, they're exceedingly friendly while they're at it. I order on-line a lot and tend to include goofy requests for drawings and such on the wrappers and they play along. A sub is a sub is a sub. This was my first experience going into a Potbelly. I've seen them all around the area and I'd been waiting to try them out and the verdict is in: they're good. Ordering is simple: pick your sandwich, they ask what toppings and things you'd like to customize it after they make it, and then you can also add on sides like soups, chili, chips, and cookies. They have a nice variety of offerings, including two vegetarian sandwich options. The only reason they're not getting five stars is because I wish there where a few more veggie options, but the quality is good. I did the mushroom melt which is one of their lighter sandwiches with thinner bread, mushrooms, and three cheeses. It's really nice- adding the right toppings definitely makes or breaks it but for something low in calories it was delicious. I also tried the minestrone soup as a side; it was a good soup. Nothing to write home about but nothing to snuff at either. This location was spacious and really clean. They all seem really cozy and warm to walk into and they definitely live up to their promise of warm, toasty sandwiches. I'll be back for more at one location or another! read more

Today they were preparing a catering order and even though there was no one else in line in front of me, it took over 10 minutes to get my order. Rather than put my order in line, they made me wait and then another 5 customers in the store had to wait until they finished their catering order.
