The staff is so nice and patient here! I also feel like my sandwich was made with love lol. Super delicious. I got the Italian hot sub and a cup of potato soup since it was rainy out. Perfect combo around $12. The place is clean and my food came out quickly.

Snow crab Boil

Food was delicious. It was my first time going to Hook n Reel. I enjoyed the seafood boil. I got the snow crab boil with potatoes and corn on the cob. I haven't had a seafood boil in a long time. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was very attentive. The ambiance gave Crusty Crab vibes lol. But I loved the theme. I would 100 % recommend.

I love the occasional Potbelly's sandwich, usually getting A Wreck or the Italian. In the past, I've always held Potbelly's in high regards as a sub shop because the subs are proper with a solid amount of meat. This location, however, appears to be a bit on the skimpy side. Overall everything tastes fine, but I was disappointed that my sandwich was lacking. The employees were nice.

Do not use Uber eats to order from this place. They overcharge & if you cancel they still charge you. I accidentally ordered from this place cancelled within 1 minute was charged 17 dollars for a skinny sandwich. That was never delivered. Honestly questioning their business ethics & partnerships. Can you imagine being in the store & saying nevermind I don't want the sandwich & they have the audacity to try and charge you for slicing the bread. Scamming and cheating your customers definitely wont grow your business any faster or stop it from going under.

No meat, lots of lettuce

I dont write many reviews and I only give two types of reviews, really good or bad. This place should be shut down for fraud. The meat was sliced so thin, it was if it didn't exist. The lettuce made up 97% of the sandwich. See pic for actual size, I am guessing 1/16th of an inch of meat and cheese. The sandwich taste was ok. The family had 3 other sandwiches, same small meat.

New potbelly in Gaithersburg. Better parking here than other Potbelly places and same standard Potbelly place. Nothing to complain about. It's brand new, replacing Ricky's Rice Bowl, where Panera Bread, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Chuck E Cheese is. Today they had an acoustic guitarist singing songs. Potbelly does sell milkshakes and like their cookies too. I normally get their awreck and come away pleased. nice warm, sodium filled sandwiches. Chips, fountain soda, and regular sandwich under $10. Now that's a concept!

Clean, friendly and great customer service, after a long day without my normal lunch break, stressed out from the day. Warm and friendly place, no chatter around you, good music filling the air around you. A bowl of chili and a turkey/Swiss to fill my empty belly. Great warm sandwich and good cup of chili of dark and gloomy spring day. Can't go wrong with potbelly's

This is what they called "tomatoes" - they were mushy and tasted awful. They were barely recognizable.

It's hard to go wrong with Potbelly - the sandwiches and taste are consistent no matter which location you go to. This location needs some work, though. After I ordered my sandwich and was waiting for it to toast, I looked at the counter and noticed how disgusting it was. It was dusty and covered in who knows what else - if that's how the visible part of the restaurant is I'd hate to know what the back food prep area looks like. I debated walking out then and there, but decided I'd stay. When they were putting the fixings on my sandwich I noticed that the tomatoes didn't look great. When I sat down and took a few bites. The tomatoes were noticeably bad, so I fished them out. They really should have said they didn't have tomatoes rather than serve the mush they tried to pass off as tomato. It was disappointing, but the bigger issue was the cleanliness.

I wish there was a way to adjust what time I was planning to pick up, besides the only option of ASAP. When I arrived it was a bit busy. I didn't notice anywhere inside to sit down and eat. There's parking available in front of the restaurant. I got a small and large Shrimp Cheesesteak and an order of the Mozzarella Half Moons. The bread was soft and tasted great. The shrimp and meat was seasoned well on the small Cheesesteak. I did find 2 hairs that weren't my texture in the small Cheesesteak. The large Cheesesteak seemed to taste a bit salty. Not sure if this was from the fried onions or something else on it, that the small didn't have. The Mozzarella Half Moons were good, however weren't as gooey as expected since they were cooled down by the time I was able to eat them. I wish there was a comments box to add specific notes. I wanted to try the Cheesesteak Eggroll, however I wanted to ask them to not put any onion in it. I decided to not get them this time since I couldn't communicate this.

Honestly, both were excellent but in different ways: the steak had that nice charred flavor you want, while the pastor came through with a touch of sweetness and spice that kept every bite interesting. The toppings were fresh, portions generous, and everything felt well-balanced (not just rice filler like some spots do). What stood out was how flavorful the proteins were on their own--you could tell they marinate and season with care. The vibe here is casual and welcoming, the kind of place you can pop in for a quick bite, hang out with friends, pick up dry cleaning, or get gas. Yes you can do all of those things under the same roof. Prices are fair for the quality, and you definitely leave full. If you're in Gaithersburg craving Mexican street-style flavors, this spot is worth the stop.

The ladies working in the back work very hard and their labor of love does shine in the food. This place actually rivals SoCal mexican food. If you're in the area, skip Chipotle and come here to try their burritos, tortas, nachos, bowls and horchata, and tres leches. Also if you're brave check out their spicy red sauce! The combination of flavors was delicious, and this is definitely a favorite I would order again without hesitation! I also tried the Honey Garlic Chicken, and OMG, it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was fried to perfection, crispy on the outside, and coated in a tasty honey garlic sauce that hit all the right notes. Definitely worth trying! For my side, I got fries with gravy for dipping. I know that might sound random, but trust me, it's SO much better than ketchup! Don't knock it until you try it! The restaurant was packed when I visited, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. If you're in a rush, I'd recommend placing a to-go order ahead of time. Overall, I thought the prices were fine. For my order I went with the family deal A (I'm not sure what it was actually called) which included six pieces of chicken with two sides for about $21. Although I thought the chicken was pretty good, I was expecting to be blown away based on reviews that I've seen regarding the Jollibee brand. While the breading did not have much seasoning (for my personal tastes), I thought the chicken excelled in its 'juiciness'. From my experience, it's very arre for friend chicken restaurants to have falling off the bone fried chicken. YUM Customer service was pretty direct in that I did not really have a significant interaction with the staff. I placed my order through the kiosk and waited about 10 minutes for my order number to be called. Although I ordered my food to go, I thought the restaurant was very clean and well-maintained with plenty of seating. Since the restaurant is located near the Westfield Mall, there was plenty of parking, which is rare in this area. While I would not go out of my way to grab fried chicken from here, it is decent option for quickly picking up something on my way home.
