FedEx was difficult so we used this spot! And honestly paid way too much with a "FedEx will get it there by tomorrow afternoon at the latest, don't buy overnight, get the next day." Instead I didn't get what I wanted whatsoever. The laptop I sent didn't arrive until nearly 10pm, costing my friend valuable time to work. This isn't okay. I've had nothing but great service at this location for at least the past year. They're really friendly and they typically get people through the line quickly. There's a really nice woman who works there with straight, short brown hair who consistently seems to go out of her way to be helpful. In fact, having her help tonight prompted me to update my review. Been dropping off packages here for years and was told tonight while dropping off a box " I'm gunna have to charge you $3 for this cause we have limited space" this is the first time hearing this with anything I've ever dropped off. I come in here to drop off Depop packages and they are always awesome and fast. There's $1 drop off fee and they print me a label with the tracking numbers and then I'm out the door. Never had a bad experience here, I even looked at boxes and poly envelopes and the prices are very fair. Very convenient location and Jeff the manager is very helpful. Charging nearly $9 for two plain black and white copies along with the RUDEST workers I've encountered in a while. I will say the girl that helped me was courteous. But I will never come to this location again they actually charge a dollar for UPS drop off even though it's prepaid. I didn't realize how bad their upcharge was on packages and I wish I had just gone over to FedEx or the PO. In general I always drop off prepaid packages here and snag stamps when I need them and the staff has always been nice so if that's all you need then great. But, if you are looking to send off a package that still needs to be paid for save yourself the money (I easily paid $15+ more than necessary) and go straight to the source. read more

You WILL overpay if you use this place. Drive a few extra minutes and go to UPS/FEDEX. Today they quoted me $33 to ship a 8x8 package under 1 lb to Utah. I told them that seemed way too high of a markup over Fedex/UPS, but they claimed they dont markup - rather that they are cheaper. I went to FedEx anyways and paid 15.19 for the same service. Oh and they charge you $4 to print your first page... what a joke! Buyer beware. read more

I have nothing positive to say about this spot...I went to drop off some small relatively flat packages with prepaid postage and was curtly asked "do you know our package drop of policy?"..."uhhh no"...."it's a dollar per item"...." ha ha I'm out". Two minutes from here is a very nice AIM mail center at Progress Ridge where they took my packages without charging and then allowed me to purchase $40 worth of stamps and greeting cards. Seriously I hope they see how short sighted this decision is. You may be able to get a few bucks out of desperate folks needing to ship something immediately but you are losing way more by this silly silly policy. I agree with Linda M. below. Postal Annex's services are very comprehensive and they are a great one-stop business. I have been going to them for almost 10 years, and I have never had any bad experiences even with international shipping. In fact, they have always been professional and courteous. , and one time they even went out of their way to make enlarged copies of the entire music books when my child with visual impairment started learning to play piano. And they did it with a huge discount for me. Yes, their shipping prices are a little higher but with the high gas prices and convenient hours including evenings and weekends, I am so glad they are right in my neighborhood. I asked once again if this was for UPS Ground and said said yes. When I checked my receipt it said FedEx Ground. I was MIS informed. Once again postal annex in the Murray Scholls shopping center proves they overcharge and take advantage of customers. I had 3 packages to mail. 2 were pre-labeled with postage paid. Postal Annex charged $1 per package to mail from their location. I thought that was odd but no big deal... Only $2. The price quote to mail a 6 x 10 small box to Florida was quoted at over $30 through USPS. Fed Ex & UPS were only slightly higher. I asked what percent of this cost was postage and what percent is a premium surcharge? The employee would not answer. I asked if their margin was doubling the cost of this shipment. She just stared at me and said have a nice day, so I took my package and left. I guarantee when I go to the post office it will cost approximately 50% of the Postal Annex price quote. I completely understand that a premium is rightfully charged for the convenience of their service but double is out of the question and so much higher than any other mom & pop shipping retailer. read more

I went in earlier to the postal annex located on hall near fireside grill.... the man who was working was so mean to me!!! I left feel awful about myself. Went out of my way to drive to this location after that incident and Katie was so incredibly nice to! she could tell i was struggling to even bring the package in, i am 9 months pregnant and didn't want to push it against my stomAch and the package was large so i looked funny bringing it in. I'm not sure after reading all the negative reviews if I was in the same store that these folks were in !!! So I love this store I have used them on several occasions but yesterday was fantastic ! I came in with 3 bags of goodies for a sailor that is on deployment on the USS Stennis Aircraft Carrier. I walk in with no box no label and no idea what to do or how to do it. This is how it went. "Good afternoon what can we do for you today" I am not making this up I don't know these folks at all but I sure would like to get to know them. I explain that I have all this stuff that I'm sending to a deployed sailor and have this address (I just handed him my piece of paper) He then said sounds good, He went to the back got the largest if you can fit it it ships box, packed it for me and then waited for me to write a note for the sailor, He then sealed it up and got it ready. You see this is not my son on deployment not do I even know him, I received a name from a mother of sailors on board, and this sailor for whatever reason does not have anyone sending them anything stateside for fun. These sailors are out representing our country and need a taste of home just to make them feel good. The man then says we have a lot of donated items that don't fit in other boxes so if you know someone that wants boxes from stateside we have donated items that we will give you for a military person all you have to do is pay for the shipping! I've been in here a few times out of necessity only. I don't always have the right materials to ship things to my father or other family members, so I'll come here to get a larger envelope, etc. Nothing about the service, prices, or anything else ever really impressed me. I recently had to fax some documents and decided to come in here because it was fairly close and seemed like a convenient place. I had to fax only 5 pages and it cost $7.50. I immediately had an achy feeling from behind as if I'd just dropped the soap! I wanted to ask the cashier if he was planning on giving me a kiss, because I usually like to get kissed while I'm being screwed. But really, $7.50 to fax 5 pages seems a little excessive. I'll definitely go to Kinko's or another local business from now on if I ever need to fax things. Other than this one big let down experience, this place is just mediocre at best. read more

I've had great luck here with shipping items for my home business. I was using another mail place down the street, but they weren't quite as helpful. I like that the folks here recognized me the second time I came back, and even offered to work with me on a discount for being a frequent and volume shipper. Everyone here has been nice, and I've never had a problem with anything I've shipped out. In addition to a paper receipt, they also email you tracking numbers, which is really handy when I'm at my computer and I want to cut and paste for customers. read more

Either or: my experiences at this place are good. I rarely have to wait long, they're super friendly and efficient. It's a lot easier to go here than to Aloha Post Office where my "official post district" apparently is (I had to put mail on hold while traveling and pick it up there). They've got a nice selection of cards and whatnot. I needed a public notary; also a service offered at this place. So it's convenience combined with good service. Expensive and not trustworthy. Lost my mail! I decided to use the post mail box service here because it was convenient. It ended up being $127 for a very small box for six months to receive mail. While expensive this seemed like a simple task. I ended up ordering a pair of socks for a Christmas present. yes it doesn't sound like much but it ended up costing me $20. After about two weeks of not receiving the socks I thought maybe it was the fault of the sock company and therefore contacted them. They were very helpful and sent another pair. The tracking number indicated that this pair reached the Postal Annex and confirming it I had a pink "you have a package" slip in my post mail box. However, when I turned in the slip, they told me there was no package. They told me they receive the mail and place it on the counter near the door and sometimes people pick up their own packages. This seems rather hazardous. They could not find my package even though the tracking number said that it was there. I called Fedex and they said the package had been delivered to that destination (the Postal Annex). No one at the Postal Annex would take responsibility for the mistake. I was given Mike (the owner's) card and he has yet to return my call. I have wasted both my time and money here and would warn against sending or trying to receive any important documents at this location. I will take my business elsewhere. read more
