Recently had a manicure with gel polish. This time, I asked to have the gel removed and to do a standard manicure with clear polish. Young woman removed "most" of the gel with a dremel and then applied ONE coat of clear polish. My nails are rough and irregular. This is my 3rd trip there and not once has anyone cleaned under my nails. They filed with large heavy file that sanded my fingers as well as the nails. I had to file my nails when I got home to smooth the tips. They cut my cuticles that don't need trimming, not a good idea. I had the same experience as others regarding NO customer service. When I entered, greeted with "What do you want?" and when they finished, "You pay cash or charge?" They chatted with each other (not in English) and talked to known customers quite friendly. Lovely looking salon but something isn't right with the way they treat you.

But that's where the positive review ends... Sadly, the job my tech did was horrible on both a pedi and gel mani! First, she painted my toenail polish over a wet base coat, which at the time I thought was really weird. I wish I had spoken up, because it made the colored polish shrink and dry in layers instead of being smooth. I had to remove it and repaint it myself the next day it looks so bad. Then, she didn't use acetone to clean any overpaint from my gel nails, using just her fingernails to try to clean up any overage (which is ineffective as well as unsanitary). I had to reshape my nails and pick off all the extra polish around each nail when I got home. After paying $75 with tip! I hope the owner reads these negative reviews and trains her people properly because her staff desperately needs it!

I was sad about my service the other day…read more I've been twice. First time was sooo excellent that I wanted to come back! I think if I ever come back, I only want to see the owner. I think that's who I had the first time. This time, there was really a lack of service. He was nice and all, but I wasn't asked what type of pedicure I wanted. I usually get with a basic pedicure, a scrub, hot towels, a massage, maybe lotion. This time I only get a scrub and some towels. I asked about a massage as well and said I would pay extra but I was sort of dismissed. I wonder if this is because it was close to closing. They closed at 5, but I called at 3:15 and was told to come at 4. I sat there for about half an hour before my service started. Not a bad experience, but in today's world everything is so expensive so i'd prefer to get my moneys worth.

Not very happy UPDATE: after a 20 minute phone call, (and the owner walking away mid call after talking over me the whole time blaming me for the nails) the receptionist finally said I can come in and get my refund. When I came in they continued to tell me that it was my fault my nails changed from white to yellow, then in the middle of getting my refund a lady come up, snatched my hand and started rubbing the nail polish off. To say I'm pissed is an understatement. There is a difference between letting me know that you will be taking the polish off with the refund (which would have been completely fine because these nails are disgusting looking) and just snatching my hand, touching me without permission OR without saying anything and rubbing it off. Extremely rude. Extremely unprofessional. And blaming the customer till the very end is just unbelievable.
