Update 2: I had to give this place an update since I…read morevisited them again recently. I'm honestly a little disappointed-- my nails were done by Fanny this time and I have to say-- my experience with her was maybe the worst out of all the other workers. I took away one star because of a few reasons; Fanny is somewhat unprofessional as other reviews have pointed out. She does things her way and assures you that she knows what she's doing even when you ask her to fix a crooked edge or an uneven nail. When I asked for two top coats she said, "2 nails for $5" she clearly misheard and thought I asked for a design, so when another customer chirped in and told her that I was asking for two top coats, Fanny replied in an oddly grave tone, "I know!" The bottom of my nails were messy and she sanded down way too much to the point where I have cuts on my finger that were bleeding. Whenever anyone moved, Fanny would peak up from my nails and pause for a good 3-4 minutes before continuing. She didn't take her time to make sure my nails were even and even finished earlier than someone who started before me! Other than that, just make sure you get someone other than Fanny to do your nails. Update: I can never be disappointed with the end results of my nails here! Prices are affordable, the people are nice, and the stations are always kept clean. There is literally nothing more that I can ask for. The first time I was here for SNS, they only had one book of colors. Now, nearly 6 months later, they've added another book of colors! I got an SNS dip powder with tips and it wasn't incredibly pricey. My nails are naturally weak, so I was recommended the dip powder and I have to say, I am not disappointed :). My nails feel much stronger, and the lady who did my nails made sure to put on a layer of nail lacquer in between each dip in the powder. She even trimmed each acrylic nail first to make sure that the tip would fit on my natural nails. Good quality for the price, and pretty good service

I was really disappointed with my experience…read more The nail shape was done much wider than I requested, especially on both of my thumbnails. The shape looked bulky and uneven. I understand that mistakes can happen, so instead of leaving a bad review immediately, I called the salon and politely asked if I could come back to have the width of my two thumbnails reshaped. What disappointed me even more was the owner's attitude on the phone. She sounded impatient and made me feel like I was being difficult for asking them to fix their own work. Good customer service isn't just about doing nails--it's also about how you treat customers when they have a concern. I wasn't asking for a refund or anything unreasonable. I simply wanted the nails corrected. Unfortunately, the poor attitude left a much worse impression than the nails themselves.

I don't think I would come back here, but they were decently nice and I'm sure in a less rushed…read moreatmosphere the job would have been done better. My friend and I made an appointment to get manicures here. When we arrived there was another person waiting. Before we even started, the woman told them we would only be about 20 minutes and that they could wait. I had never had a manicure so I was unfamiliar with the standard procedure and how long it would take, but it was clear that they were rushing to try and accommodate all of us, rather than give us the time and individual attention we should have received. My manicure was fairly simple- just a clear coat with some minimal line art. But I did have to tell her mostly what to do otherwise it wouldn't have been exactly the aesthetic I was going for. And even then, her creative instincts were questionable. My friend on the other hand asked for a black matte finish and definitely felt rushed. From the beginning, his cuticle treatment wasn't done thoroughly, and he got cut on his nail bed. The matte coat was not applied all the way to the edges and it wasn't completely dry before we left so it ended up getting botched right after we left. By that point the manicurists had already moved on to other clients so we just felt like we should leave, and weren't really assured the job was finished before doing so. Also questionable as to whether the equipment was sanitized or not.

Lately I have been gravitating toward SNS gel powder rather than gel polish. I was telling my friend about how difficult it was to get an appointment to do SNS and how expensive the "good" places cost. So she recommended this spot to me. I yelped the spot first and was honestly very reluctant about trying it out because of the extremely low ratings. So I called around to my usual spots. Unfortunately everything else was booked so I just called to see if they had any open spots. Fortunately for me, there was. This place was a trek for me but I was so glad to make the trip. Upon entering, I noticed that the nail salon was rather run down and a bit cramped. I was pleasantly surprised at the SNS color range they showed me as I was soaking off my previous set. Emily did my nails and was very patient as I sorted through a ton of colors and going back and forth between designs haha. I ended up doing a designs because I have an event later this week. I was very happy with how my nails came out and how cheap the total cost was in comparison to the other nail salons I've been to. I would normally spend $50 on nails with the types of designs I want but I spent $40 here. It was very well worth and I will gladly make the trek back here soon!
