I don't mind paying $30 for 10 year old's manicure (since she's over 10 , so it's full price), but she should then get the full service & experience. Her cuticles were barely trimmed-which is what she really needed/wanted. She was left in the chair- no invitation to come over to the drying area. When I directed her there -only then was she offered a shoulder massage (which is always offered) The past few times have felt really rushed & like we were bothering them. This time I think they could sense that I was disappointed and they had us leave before my other girls nails were really dry. Will be looking for a new place.

Angel is one who I have seen multiple times now. She is lovely and always does a great job. We were told that they changed ownership in 11/24 & that they were only good for 1 year (false, as when they were purchased the expiration date was marked through - see pics, none were written). She refused to honor the certificates as "they didn't make any money on them." In fact, she hung up on me. Yes, I fully admit I was frustrated, but she wanted NOTHING to do with this and to talking this through. She told me I could call the old owner, lol...not sure why. I asked to speak to the manager/owner & it was her. I have grown up in customer service & am a 2nd generation retail store family and no matter what, you do not hang up on customers or fail to offer any type of compensation. She could have easily made two customers but chose not to. Very disappointing. And by the way, when we purchased the gift certificates I did so because not only was their name 5 Star Nails, but they also had 5 stars! Unfortunately, doesn't look like that has continued. I got a GEL mani with cat eye polish on Sunday and as of writing this review on Wednesday morning this already happens! Coming from other nail salons getting shellac gel it last me 4 weeks or longer and it's pretty full and thick. I noticed when I got gel here the polish was thin. I didn't think much of it, so I ignored it. When I scratched my eye I felt a poke. When I looked closely the polish on the middle finger was coming off. As I looked closer I noticed the polish on my pointer finger was coming off too! I was like . I paid $85 for gel mani with cat eye polish and regular pedi, tipped $10. Now I am going to have to call another nail salon to see if they can accommodate me to get a polish change last minute, because I fly out tomorrow morning. I gave 2 because the nail tech was nice. If you've been coming here and you love it, good for you. I'm glad you're a happy customer, but as for me, I sadly will not be returning.
