Always the best experience with Nancy. I have been coming here for several years, and I am never disappointed! 5/5 stars every time!

Business manager never reached out to me to "investigate" and I even sent them a message to be ignored.

This place is awful. I went here TODAY to get matte black fill in. It is 8 hours later and the matte polish along with the nail polish came off in the shower. I paid $60 and gave a $20 for my nails to last 8 hours. I will be calling tomorrow to get my $80. This is insane. To make this worse I won't be able to deal with this until Tuesday as I got these done before traveling and paid in cash because their square machine wouldn't work. Now I'll have to pay additional to go somewhere else to fix this. I do NOT recommend going here at all.

1st time at the salon (nails after 1 week)

I wanted to update my review because after writing my initial review, Max, the manager reached out to me and offered that the salon would correct my nails for me. He set me up with a very experienced nail tech and my experience was great. If you get a dip powder manicure, ask for Nancy or Linda!! After today's experience, I can honestly say I will be back. Their customer service was amazing, they really work on satisfying the customer. Also, happy to report that they took my temperature and recorded it in a notebook. Seriously, go see Nancy and Linda!

skin sanded off with mechanical file leaving open sores!
Brooklynne J.

I am so upset with the service I received. The technician actually created sores on my cuticles by using the mechanical file too close and filed the skin off. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow and I now have antibiotic ointments and bandaids on 4 of my fingers. While she was adhering the tips on my fingers I had to have her remove one of them as she put it on crooked! It wasnt will I returned home that I realized she did the same on my other hand, just not as noticeable. And to add insult to injury, she did not paint the polish up to the cuticle, leaving a space, and making it look like I had my nails done 2 weeks ago! This was not noticeable in the dark lighting of the store. For $60 I expect much better!!!! When I called to tell the owner of my experience his response was "come in and I fix". How was he going to replace the skin the tech. removed !!! Never once apologized and never even tried to make it right by offering me something, anything!!!! Had I paid by credit card, I would have filed a dispute. Unfortunately I paid by cash, but this place lost my business.

Powder manicure for summer vibes

Came in today for a much needed pedicure and powder manicure and always impressed. I keep forgetting to ask his name but he is the closest one to the door . He never disappoints and goes above and beyond to make his clients happy.

I have been coming here at least once a month for the past 8 months for SNS powder dip nails. They always do a great job with my nails. The staff is nice, and the place is cute and clean. For the SNS dont get rushed for the 2 minute top coat otherwise they have to redo the coat. A word of caution is it gets very busy after 5pm on a weekday. I had to wait an hour one time even tho I made an appointment.

Went there for my first visit I made my appointment super easy & they remind you via text & email. When I first walked in I was greeted so kindly. They were so polite and friendly (which is rare for a lot of nail salons in Brooklyn) lol I've had plenty of bad experiences but I finally found a salon that's clean, friendly and their work is great. I had a regular pedicure & SNS done, the lady who did both my pedi and nails was so efficient & She even took the time to help find a color for my toes that matched perfectly with the sns color I chose for my nails. I would 10/10 recommend coming here. :)

Swollen toe

This is my wife's review of this place. I really wanted to like this place especially because it's a five minute Uber ride from my apartment and it's convenient for my wife to go there. I wanted to give this place a fair shot before writing a review, so this review is after having visited this place twice. The first time I visited this place was in October of last year. I really liked the gel color I chose, but I didn't enjoy the pedicure or manicure. The lady who did my pedicure and manicure was really rough with my hands and feet, even though I asked her to go softer. The way she pushed back my cuticles were very painful and she left my index finger bleeding. When I told her again to go softer, she didn't apologize. Instead, she said "you're too sensitive". The second time I visited this place was last Friday. When I first walked in, no one greeted me for a good 3 min. It wasn't until I walked farther into the salon until someone said, "yes?" And I told them I had an appointment. The young technician that I had was even worse than the one I had before. I didn't catch her name but she was wearing a green Abercrombie and Fitch sweatshirt. I asked for a gel manicure and pedicure. I thought my last technician was rough, but this one was way rougher. I told her to please be careful with my big toe as I have a painful ingrown nail. I asked her to carefully cut it, but I told her to stop as it was starting to hurt really bad. She didn't stop! She kept going even deeper. It started to bleed and I wanted to scream so badly. It got to a point where I even had to reach over and cover my foot so she'd stop but she didn't. After I pulled my foot away, she called what it seemed to be her manager over to look at it. He said that they couldn't cut it because it was too deep. I told her that's what I've been trying to tell her but she wouldn't listen. It's been a week and my toe hurts everytime I wear shoes/boots or press lightly on it. I hope it isn't infected!!!

I was struggling, like STRUGGLING, to find a nail salon in New York that does SNS. Apparently this like isn't a thing here ?? Idk.. anyways I found posh and took a chance. I called to make an appointment and then met Connie - the man there! He did an amazing job and was very nice. I've been going to him now for a year! I recommend getting a pedicure too! Make sure to make an appointment!!!! This salon is also extra cute so that was a plus for me! Only con- there are not that many SNS colors to choose from - I'm from the west coast and used to having 50+ shades of pink.

What can I say. The service is great, the people are nice, and my nails look great! They do get busy so I would highly recommend making an appointment!

Nope they only know and do basic stuff

No, facials are not offered. Thank you for your interest!

His name is Carmen. I will pass along the compliment! Thank You!

How much is it for long acrylic nails?

As far as I know they do not use acrylic. Call to make sure.

So when I looked up waxing services on Yelp and noticed that Uni K was nearby, with great reviews and online booking I was locked in! First of all, it was so happy to see that they had some same day appointment availability! Why that may not always be the case, some booking systems will still only show starting next day. I also loved that their menu had a lot of options, including more than one type of Brazilian to book. When I showed up to my appointment, I checked in and filled out some basic, new client information. I was then taken to my room with my waxer promptly after. They use hard wax here which many people prefer, but for me hurts the most. But I don't really care what is used as long as they're hygienic, quick, effective and will not spawn in-grown hairs. My waxer was quick, thorough and one week out...things are still looking good! As a bonus, first time clients got a significant discount which made me even happier about my experience. While my experience before check out was already excellent, that was just icing on the cake. Overall, I left very impressed and will definitely return again in the future!

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING and honestly upsetting experience. My little sister ran to her appointment…read moreand arrived flushed and a little sweaty, and the technician -- I believe her name was B -- proceeded to wax half the area before suddenly stopping and telling her that she was "too sweaty" to continue and that she would need to wait 40 MINS + an additional hour if the next client showed up. For context, my sister has been getting waxed regularly for over eight years. She is athletic, healthy, and this has never happened to her before. She was not dripping in sweat or experiencing anything extreme -- she had simply rushed to make the appointment and was flushed. None of that should even matter in terms of how respectfully a client is treated, but it made the reaction feel even more disproportionate. The technician told her she would need to wait 40 minutes or longer before they could continue, in part because another client was coming in. That is where this started to feel less like a legitimate waxing concern and more like a scheduling issue that my sister was being blamed for. I could completely understand saying, "Let's give you a few minutes to cool down so the wax adheres better." But stopping halfway through a service and telling someone to wait 40+ minutes is a very different situation. I have also been getting waxed for around 10 years, including throughout hot and humid New York summers, and I have never experienced or even heard of someone being treated this way simply for being a little sweaty. Beyond the explanation making very little sense, telling a client she is "too sweaty" in that manner is incredibly rude and inappropriate. There are professional, discreet ways to address moisture without making someone feel embarrassed or ashamed of their body. The fact that half the service had already been completed before this suddenly became an issue also made me seriously question the technician's judgment and experience. If it was genuinely unsafe to wax her, why was the service started in the first place? This is also a waxing salon with fans and powder available to help keep the skin dry. What made the situation even worse was what happened afterward. My sister called me on FaceTime while she was there and was literally in tears trying to advocate for herself and explain that the situation had made her uncomfortable. When my other younger sister later called the salon for more information, the woman at the front desk described my sister as "aggressive" and said she had made the staff uncomfortable. Well let me tell you, I'm the oldest sister and our youngest sister doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. It made me so sad to see her shakily defending herself. She was upset, embarrassed, and trying to stand up for herself while crying -- not behaving aggressively. All the receptionist had to do was apologize! Getting defensive with emotional clients is never the answer. If you are the owner please review the call as they are all recorded. My sister also told me that after the waxing specialist left the room, she overheard waxers giggling nearby. I cannot say whether they were laughing about her, and I won't pretend to know that. But in that moment, after she had already been made to feel embarrassed and vulnerable, hearing staff giggling only made her feel even more humiliated. Timing, discretion, and basic emotional awareness matter enormously in intimate services like waxing. At the end of the day, this felt like an inexperienced waxer and a scheduling problem being turned into my sister's fault, while her feelings were completely dismissed. A client should never leave a waxing appointment feeling ashamed of a normal bodily response, humiliated, and then be labeled "aggressive" simply for saying she felt uncomfortable. Stopping a service halfway through, giving a questionable explanation, making the client feel embarrassed, and then dismissing her reaction afterward is unacceptable. I would not recommend this location based on how this was handled. SHAME ON YOU ALL YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. MEANGIRL ACTIVITIES AT THIS LOCATION!!!! also not this is not the first time ive heard of other issues at this location. DO NOT LET THE FOUR STARS FOOL YOU. TERRIBLE STAFF HERE.
