We both got regular manicures (since we've switched from gel for the health of our nails). Our nail techs were friendly and respected our requests when doing our nails. I love how clean the salon was and that there was a massive air purifier in the shop too. We let our nails dry for over 25min just to be safe and I personally did get 1 small chip after one day. This place is awful. I went here TODAY to get matte black fill in. It is 8 hours later and the matte polish along with the nail polish came off in the shower. I paid $60 and gave a $20 for my nails to last 8 hours. I will be calling tomorrow to get my $80. This is insane. To make this worse I won't be able to deal with this until Tuesday as I got these done before traveling and paid in cash because their square machine wouldn't work. I am so upset with the service I received. The technician actually created sores on my cuticles by using the mechanical file too close and filed the skin off. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow and I now have antibiotic ointments and bandaids on 4 of my fingers. While she was adhering the tips on my fingers I had to have her remove one of them as she put it on crooked! It wasnt will I returned home that I realized she did the same on my other hand, just not as noticeable. And to add insult to injury, she did not paint the polish up to the cuticle, leaving a space, and making it look like I had my nails done 2 weeks ago! This was not noticeable in the dark lighting of the store. For $60 I expect much better!!!! When I called to tell the owner of my experience his response was "come in and I fix". How was he going to replace the skin the tech. removed !!! Never once apologized and never even tried to make it right by offering me something, anything!!!! This is my wife's review of this place. I really wanted to like this place especially because it's a five minute Uber ride from my apartment and it's convenient for my wife to go there. I wanted to give this place a fair shot before writing a review, so this review is after having visited this place twice. The first time I visited this place was in October of last year. I really liked the gel color I chose, but I didn't enjoy the pedicure or manicure. The lady who did my pedicure and manicure was really rough with my hands and feet, even though I asked her to go softer. The way she pushed back my cuticles were very painful and she left my index finger bleeding. When I told her again to go softer, she didn't apologize. Instead, she said "you're too sensitive". The second time I visited this place was last Friday. When I first walked in, no one greeted me for a good 3 min. It wasn't until I walked farther into the salon until someone said, "yes?" And I told them I had an appointment. The young technician that I had was even worse than the one I had before. I didn't catch her name but she was wearing a green Abercrombie and Fitch sweatshirt. I asked for a gel manicure and pedicure. I thought my last technician was rough, but this one was way rougher. I told her to please be careful with my big toe as I have a painful ingrown nail. I asked her to carefully cut it, but I told her to stop as it was starting to hurt really bad. She didn't stop! She kept going even deeper. It started to bleed and I wanted to scream so badly. It got to a point where I even had to reach over and cover my foot so she'd stop but she didn't. After I pulled my foot away, she called what it seemed to be her manager over to look at it. He said that they couldn't cut it because it was too deep. I told her that's what I've been trying to tell her but she wouldn't listen. So I absolutely love the look and ambience of the salon but absolutely hated the service. I came in wanting to get a pedicure, manicure and my eyebrows done but left after the pedicure. I was asked to sit in a chair where the foot bowl had not been washed. When it was finally rinsed I still felt uneasy about putting my feet in there. I was seated in the chair closest to the nail polish. My feet were put in cold water which had nothing it in. My feet were barely scrubbed I had to say someone for one of the feet to get scrubbed. The young lady doing my feet looked miserable which ruined what could have been a wonderful experience for me. Inside, all technicians were wearing masks and is also required for entry. I noticed that if someone didn't have a mask, Posh nails would supply masks for them. This is the second time I've come in with an appointment, and the appointment time has been completely disregarded. They're clearly understaffed, and the members of their staff look overworked and exhausted. I used to love coming here but I cannot support a salon that does not respect my time. I needed a quick mani pedi for a work event that I'm in town for. I splurged on the calf massage and deluxe pedi ($55) plus a gel manicure. The manicure was the most important for the event. It took fully two plus hours, and my final total was $107 without tip, and my deep purple nails look see through. Really excellent nail salon right down in South Park Slope. This place rivals Vivi Nail, further up North - with it's very long lines and wait times. The quality here has been consistently good (I've been 4 or 5 times now) They're manicure is basic, but excellent quality filing, which is very important. Their pedicure is higher than your average, because they use a special scrub and pamper you a little more than other places. These small nice touches really add up to make it feel like a mini spa experience, even at their cheapest and most basic level. It's slowly becoming my go-to, mani pedi spot in Park Slope. I almost hope it doesn't get too popular and become like it's competitor because right now wait times are generally low and you can be seen within 15 minutes of walking in. read more

first & last time here , didn't have high expectations but for a 4.0 place in the area i thought let me try, i was the only one in there and now i know why. i was told $40 over the phone for acrylics and then was charged 65 due to the "design"... , the tips were curved and the second i saw that i knew it was going to be bad but i was trying to be hopeful and stick it out , poor choice. outta 10 nails 3 are lumpy to the touch and very chunky looking. i know white is an enlarging color .. but again , not what i asked for & it was difficult to come back from i didn't even know what to suggest to fix first. and a gel pedicure was $43 , i got white and it was fine but again , paint job could have been better & overall 125 (including tip) for a gel pedi and short white acrylics is def a bit much but would expect better read more

Where do I begin? If service & "the experience" matters to you, read on. My normal SNS lady went back her country, so I'm in the market for a replacement. I decided to try this place based on all the good SNS reviews. Not sure if I went on an off day, or the reviewers never had a good SNS for comparison, but I am not a happy customer with the end result. Environment: Pro: Salon matches the name - very Posh. Spot on with the ambiance. I gave an extra star due to cleanliness & the fact that the furniture was not run down. Con: With the strict health requirements, this place is not using plastic around the sinks, and equipment sterilization is questionable (tools pulled out of drawers - different people did my hands & feet) Service: Here's where it gets dicey. Requested Linda based on Yelp reviewers. Approach is NOT how SNS is supposed to be done. End look is very bulky - like I have on a tips & acrylic (actually looks like chiclet gum lol). Now if done properly, it's supposed to look like my natural nail with a longer term manicure - progressing from thin by the cuticle to thicker towards the tips. As my pic shows, it's bulky & thick all the way through. Instead of 1/3 of the nail 1st coat, 2/3 for the 2nd, & full coat for the 3rd, she did 3 full nail coats resulting in the bulky fake nail look in the photo. I thought she would thin it out by the cuticle to give the natural nail effect, but what you see is with her thinning it out. Also left glue on my skin & under nails (2nd photo), which I had to ask to clean before leaving. Assuming like most salons some technicians are better than others, they need to understand from a customer service perspective 1st impressions count, and can be the difference in loyal repeat customers. I had never had SNS powder or tips, but I was excited to try something new for a party.She filed my nails and immediately put on tips. No cuticle treatment or anything. I had a couple of hang nails. I still have them. She applied the tips and powder and not knowing any better I thought it was fine. My thumb nail broke--painfully--within 12 hours and one week later one nail just fell off.
