How much is it for a dipped manicure and a regular pedicure?

Does any one know the younger gentleman's name who does SNS powder? He is very tall and lean and does excellent work!

His name is Carmen. I will pass along the compliment! Thank You!

How much is it for long acrylic nails?

As far as I know they do not use acrylic. Call to make sure.

Do they put plastic in the pedicure basins?

They did not do it with mine, so I'm assuming no, but the salon is exceptionally clean and all the equipment they use is sealed in plastic and disposable so each customer has their own when getting pedicure, etc..Hope this helps!

So when I looked up waxing services on Yelp and noticed that Uni K was nearby, with great reviews and online booking I was locked in! First of all, it was so happy to see that they had some same day appointment availability! Why that may not always be the case, some booking systems will still only show starting next day. I also loved that their menu had a lot of options, including more than one type of Brazilian to book. When I showed up to my appointment, I checked in and filled out some basic, new client information. I was then taken to my room with my waxer promptly after. They use hard wax here which many people prefer, but for me hurts the most. But I don't really care what is used as long as they're hygienic, quick, effective and will not spawn in-grown hairs. My waxer was quick, thorough and one week out...things are still looking good! As a bonus, first time clients got a significant discount which made me even happier about my experience. While my experience before check out was already excellent, that was just icing on the cake. Overall, I left very impressed and will definitely return again in the future!

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING and honestly upsetting experience. My little sister ran to her appointment…read moreand arrived flushed and a little sweaty, and the technician -- I believe her name was B -- proceeded to wax half the area before suddenly stopping and telling her that she was "too sweaty" to continue and that she would need to wait 40 MINS + an additional hour if the next client showed up. For context, my sister has been getting waxed regularly for over eight years. She is athletic, healthy, and this has never happened to her before. She was not dripping in sweat or experiencing anything extreme -- she had simply rushed to make the appointment and was flushed. None of that should even matter in terms of how respectfully a client is treated, but it made the reaction feel even more disproportionate. The technician told her she would need to wait 40 minutes or longer before they could continue, in part because another client was coming in. That is where this started to feel less like a legitimate waxing concern and more like a scheduling issue that my sister was being blamed for. I could completely understand saying, "Let's give you a few minutes to cool down so the wax adheres better." But stopping halfway through a service and telling someone to wait 40+ minutes is a very different situation. I have also been getting waxed for around 10 years, including throughout hot and humid New York summers, and I have never experienced or even heard of someone being treated this way simply for being a little sweaty. Beyond the explanation making very little sense, telling a client she is "too sweaty" in that manner is incredibly rude and inappropriate. There are professional, discreet ways to address moisture without making someone feel embarrassed or ashamed of their body. The fact that half the service had already been completed before this suddenly became an issue also made me seriously question the technician's judgment and experience. If it was genuinely unsafe to wax her, why was the service started in the first place? This is also a waxing salon with fans and powder available to help keep the skin dry. What made the situation even worse was what happened afterward. My sister called me on FaceTime while she was there and was literally in tears trying to advocate for herself and explain that the situation had made her uncomfortable. When my other younger sister later called the salon for more information, the woman at the front desk described my sister as "aggressive" and said she had made the staff uncomfortable. Well let me tell you, I'm the oldest sister and our youngest sister doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. It made me so sad to see her shakily defending herself. She was upset, embarrassed, and trying to stand up for herself while crying -- not behaving aggressively. All the receptionist had to do was apologize! Getting defensive with emotional clients is never the answer. If you are the owner please review the call as they are all recorded. My sister also told me that after the waxing specialist left the room, she overheard waxers giggling nearby. I cannot say whether they were laughing about her, and I won't pretend to know that. But in that moment, after she had already been made to feel embarrassed and vulnerable, hearing staff giggling only made her feel even more humiliated. Timing, discretion, and basic emotional awareness matter enormously in intimate services like waxing. At the end of the day, this felt like an inexperienced waxer and a scheduling problem being turned into my sister's fault, while her feelings were completely dismissed. A client should never leave a waxing appointment feeling ashamed of a normal bodily response, humiliated, and then be labeled "aggressive" simply for saying she felt uncomfortable. Stopping a service halfway through, giving a questionable explanation, making the client feel embarrassed, and then dismissing her reaction afterward is unacceptable. I would not recommend this location based on how this was handled. SHAME ON YOU ALL YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. MEANGIRL ACTIVITIES AT THIS LOCATION!!!! also not this is not the first time ive heard of other issues at this location. DO NOT LET THE FOUR STARS FOOL YOU. TERRIBLE STAFF HERE.

It was during this visit that I REALLY learned why it is important to stick to what you know. I got three services: a chocolate bikini wax, eyebrow threading and upper lip wax. The only one that went right was the upper lip wax. Eyebrow threading - I woke up with little scabs underneath one of the brows. This has never happened to me before. I don't have a lot of eyebrow, let's get that clear, but I do know they could have been shaped better. Other places I've been too may take an extra minute or two to make sure the shape is perfect. This was super quick and you can tell. Bikini Wax - I get this type of wax all the time, I've got a wax lady and god do I regret cheating on her. The lady literally left me bleeding. I have NEVER bled before. And she had the audacity to tell me that my skin is sensitive and that this is normal. Maybe it is, but I have definitely never bled before. Like... what the hell?! The wax wasn't even super clean so I had to go back in a day or two later to fix it up a little. Safe to say I will not be going back and I genuinely couldn't even try to pretend to recommend it. They do an OK job with nails. I have been here multiple times throughout the past year when I am unable to go back home to my original nail spot. The salon is pretty organized and clean (although I do agree they can increase cleaning between clients during an pandemic). Probably once or twice I have seen them clean the table tops in between clients. The ladies do a pretty good job of cleaning, prepping and styling/coloring of nails. They have all been nice and professional. I do not think they utilize their online scheduling system. Although I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to get my nails done, I have never seen them confirm mine or anyone's appointment. It's basically first come first serve. The biggest flaw/issue is the quality of their SNS powder manicures. I have been doing SNS powder manicures for the past two years and only ever have a problem with them chipping when they are done at this salon. Chipping normally starts one week after they are done and by the end of two weeks three or four nails have chipped tips. Sometimes the chipping gets bad that my real nail is exposed, which then it breaks and i end up having to get tips to even out the length next time around. I never have a chipping problem with SNS if it's done at my other salon so not sure if it's the quality of the supplies or their technique. read more

Was in the neighborhood and got a gel mani and spa pedicure from this cute nail salon. They really know what they're doing. Painted my nails all the way to the top of the nail bed.
