If you're traveling to or fro along I-80, this is a remarkably good stop…read more It's the very best of the Midwest--large portions, low prices, and friendly service. Its an unpretentious place in the middle of nowhere. We tried the burgers--which were awesome--but checked out other plates and I dont think there's a bad choice on the menu.

We figured that…read morewe'd have lunch near there, but it was lunch time at Neola, and after a stop at the nearly Kum & Go, I found Buck Snort via a Yelp search. And after a short drive, we arrived at this cool little restaurant in small town Downtown Neola. As it turns out, this place is part of a local chain with other locations in 6 other local spots. CONS - None PROS 1. Easy access from I-80, especially if you know how to find this place. 2. Warm and inviting interior, with nice booth/table seating, at counter ordering, and friendly local clientele. 3. Buck Snort is a largely a burger and fries joynt with a number of interesting menu twists and unique names like the Boom Boom Pow! Burger. 4. Dad's choice was the "Brunch Burger", including egg, bacon and tots. He really enjoyed it. 5. I went more conventional with a cheese burger and tots. Outstanding. It's always a good thing to hit the road again on a relatively full stomach.

This little place has great reviews, and I agree with them! We got our pizza and ice cream…read moresandwich cookies (Death By Chocolate) on a Wednesday night. The place was packed. The Chicken Fajita pizza was amazing, and the ice cream sandwich cookies were soo good! It smelled so good inside. We were able to walk there from our RV park. They had limited seating, so we took our food back to our trailer. The prices were good. If you can fit it in to your travels it is worth it. Enjoy!!

The Food They are known for their hand-stretched pizza, and the crust is definitely the highlight. It has that perfect chew and char. The Pizza Bowls: A great option if you're trying to stay low-carb but still want all the pizza flavors. Taco Tuesday: If you're lucky enough to be there on the 2nd or 4th Tuesday of the month, the tacos are a must-try. Just a heads up--they usually only do tacos on those nights, so no pizza then! The Vibe It's a cozy, "hole-in-the-wall" kind of place in the best way possible. It's where the locals hang out, and the staff is incredibly welcoming to travelers. Because they are only open for a few hours in the evening (5 PM - 8 PM), it can get busy quickly, so showing up early is a good move. Things to Know Hours: They have a short window, so plan your drive accordingly! Parking: Plenty of easy street parking right in front. Takeout: They do a brisk carry-out business if you're just passing through on the I-35 and want a better meal than typical fast food.
