Awesome food, great ice cream and real friendly atmosphere. The lady's in the back made me feel at home and even told me that the next time I was in town I could pull my truck close restaurant. If your park At the loves and your looking for something to eat don't hesitate to come in and get a bite to eat.

Fireshouse 54 is a must go to if you're near Eagleville! The restaurant is small, like 6 tables small, but is big in hospitality and food flavors! We ordered an extra large supreme pizza and is was so good! This is exactly what I want with a pizza... homemade taste, and this place did that! I have no complaints. They also offer some ice cream treats, and our 5 year old got a homemade ice cream sandwich (chocolate cookies with chocolate ice cream). They also had peanut butter cookies or chocolate chip cookies for the ice cream sandwiches. We will definitely be returning, it was well worth the 78 mile drive! Wish I would have taken pictures of the pizza, but it looked so appetizing, it was gone before I could take them.

One of our favorites. If it's not the pizza it's most definitely the ice cream. Wonderful small local business that's so worth the stop.

Not only was my order not ready and waiting, it hadn't even been started. On top of that there was a fella waiting (patiently & being ignored by kitchen staff) ahead of me and his order hadn't been started either! Thennn the kitchen sprang to life. Replete with attitude, and excuses. To make things even worse, a Grandpa came in with his two granddaughters & come to find out he had actually ordered before me! The first fella couldn't wait, and frustratingly cancelled his order. Grandpa and I talked while we waited. He was in town visiting family from Kansas City and was understandably surprised by the fact that a slow, small town Casey's was having trouble getting a few orders out, when much busier stores in his neck of the woods preform far better. I agreed and shared my experience working in a fast paced, very busy pizzaria during college. Our conversation ended with "good help is hard to find" of course. The only employees that seemed to care about our situation (by now two more families had come in and were waiting as well), were the cashiers on duty. I didn't catch both of their names, but the most helpful of the two was named Ashley. They genuinely wanted, and tried to help. Model employees both. My order was finally ready around quarter after two. I realize that 20 minutes longer isn't an extremely long period of time to wait, when a place is busy, but it of course wasn't. Not when I arrived and caught them slacking anyway. A piece of advice; if you're not ahead in a kitchen, you're already behind!

My work colleagues and I got sat and were informed of a long wait as there was only one server - cool. No problem. It happens. We are sitting about 20 minutes when a table of 8 gets sat next to us. The cook immediately came from behind the counter to bring water for them. We were still sitting there with nothing. Our server came over - apologized and got our orders and brought out our drinks. Our salads came out and all was well. Then we waited and waited. We were informed that one of the potato pizzas we ordered couldn't be made because they were out of potatoes. No big deal. We changed the order. Then the group next us - who came in 20 minutes after us and ordered after us all got served their pizzas(including a few potato pizzas). While we waited and was not served. Finally realizing that our diverse group of 5 was being shafted for the very non-diverse group of 8 we asked for our pizzas to go and we left. So if the intention of Il Lazzarone was to make us feel sidelined and "othered" - congratulations. Job well done. Because we left there being reminded of just how how bigotry feels. The pizzas was still great in my hotel room. But you will never see a recommendation from me or dime of my money again.

It wasn't far at all from I-29 and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by Courtney upon entering the business, quickly and thoughtfully seated in a quiet corner away from the potential drafts of the front door as it was cold outside. Her suggestions were spot on and we had the Ceaser Salad and Bruschetta to start. Healthy portions and fresh ingredients for sure. Then we had two pizzas and it was perfect considering we had a couple of big eaters and we were hungry. Prices are fair and reasonable for the quality and quantity. Plenty of parking off street, nice people, clean and hospitable. I highly recommend Il Lazzarone and we will be back the next time in the area.
