We arrived at the end of the lunch rush on a Wednesday. There were quite a few people in lines at the counter but we went up to an empty kiosk and ordered right away. The overall experience was good and we'd stop here again on a road trip.

My go-to Subway was on West Union, but it recently closed. I am told it did not have enough traffic…read moreto be viable. It's sad to see it go, as it was super convenient. I tried this location in Bethany, but I knew something was amiss when I saw on the window that they do not take promotional coupons. I don't always use a coupon, and often treat my team to Subway on a busy day. I have nothing to complain about the food at the location, as I did not order any, but in principle, if they are not taking the coupons, they should not benefit from any other promotions. I understand from reading online that this is a decision any franchisee can make. I disagree with that decision, so I took my business elsewhere. (There are so many Subway sandwich shops in the area that it was easy to switch.) Subway is losing ground as a chain to the myriad other options available. If you cannot count on a relatively identical experience at a national chain, they have lost control of their processes and quality. I'll still get an occasional Subway at the Tanasbourne location, with or without a coupon.
