I hardly ever visit coffee shops but we had a work meeting here today. I ordered two hot teas and some of the 180 calorie egg bites. They were $5.00 and literally one bite a piece. I know at other coffee shops they are much tastier and a little bigger for the same price. The place was clean and the barista was super friendly. Used to come here all the time. Realized today why I stopped. CONSISTENCY! Took forever at drive thru even though I was their only customer, had to tell them my order three times, they asked me for a tip when I gave them my plastic and the iced americano I ordered tasted like straight up water. The Port City in this neighborhood offers great, friendly service and a nice space for meeting or working, but the coffee is unremarkable. The espresso doesn't hold a good crema, and the roast lacks in complexity. Given that a home Nespresso machine could make just as good a cup, I wouldn't go out of my way to get a coffee here. read more

The quirky barista with the very colorful jacket was quite the delight! The service that he provided was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend that everyone try their black mountain coffee. It's strong flavor is immaculate. I personally think it's the best drink that they serve. Better than any mocha shake! read more

I go to this location often. Today the drive-thru was really backed up so I decided to go inside. Well that did not get my order done any faster. The drink order came out wrong and when she remade it-it now taste terrible and my food took a really long time to come out as well (longer than normal). I don't know if they were just short handed this morning or what but, I hope my next visit is better. read more

Port City Java is a local favorite and this location is easy to get to. They offer breakfast items (e.g., Canadian bacon, egg and cheese on an English muffin), pastries and light lunch fare. I think their lunch items are seriously overpriced and so I usually just get breakfast to go. A word of caution - PCJ didn't get the memo about the convenience of a drive-through. These guys consistently have the slowest service around so if you're in a hurry, go inside to order. The area inside is very nice. read more

Went through the drive through about 9 am on a Friday. Not a lot of cars there or in the parking lot. Asked for a coffee drink and said with whipped cream (said it twice). Asked for a bagel with plain cream cheese. Disappointment. Coffee had no whipped cream, had to ask for it again. Bagel was very slightly toasted and the cream cheese was in a small container. How exactly am I supposed to spread cream cheese in the car? Will not be going back for a long while.... read more

As already stated, the coffee, the staff, all contribute to a great experience. What makes this particular PCJ even better is that Kristin (one of our local Yelpers) works here and did an extraordinary job of creating my LARGE chocolate milkshake (no whip, at least cream). Life is good. read more

Unfortunately probably my least favorite PCJ in town. Drive thru consistently slow and orders are wrong at least 50% of the time, but what really makes this my least favorite is the exceptionally rude customer service. If you compared this one to the PCJ across the street in Waterford, based purely on service, you wouldn't even think it was the same chain. read more

Awesome service every time I have dropped in. The drive thru line is exactly what a drive thru line should be - quick and efficient. When I do pop in the store, I am always greeted with a smile. The employees seem to enjoy their job and that is rare now a days. read more

I am not sure I will be coming back here after today. I have frequented this location many time but today may have done that in for me. I went through the drive thru and got home to realize my lid had been used or someone tasted the drink to make sure they made it right because there were lip prints with some kind of lipstick or lip gloss on the lid and a crumb on the side. I had only taken one sip before getting home and I was not wearing anything on my lips. I thought maybe it was the plastic but when I took a wet paper towel to it, it wiped right off. I mean come on,that is beyond disgusting. Mistakes happen but if you do it you fix it and remake it. If you are reusing lids then that right there is a major health violation. read more

Absolutely love that fact that there is a local place to get coffee, probably not as hip as going to some one-off joint because it is a local chain. But still great coffee, and they add an extra shot to pretty much everything. The service has always been good and the place is clean. 5 stars. read more

After recently moving to Leland, I was really looking forward to checking out our local coffee shop. I am all about friendly customer service. The first time I went to the location in Brunswick Forest, was highly disappointed in the customer service from the girl that took my order. The other employees were better and the drink was great. A couple of weeks later I had family visiting, so decided to give them another try (thinking anyone can have a bad day). It was the same girl that took our order, but I'm sorry to say that she was even worse this visit. I feel it should be an enjoyable experience stopping in my "local, friendly, neighborhood coffee shop". read more

I hate giving bad reviews, but I got a dirty chai here, and it was probably the worst one I've ever had! It tasted like steamed almond milk. I couldn't taste any chai or espresso in it at all. After paying almost $8 for the drink, I was only able to drink about half of it. So disappointing. Maybe I'll give them another try in the future. read more
