So been driving past this place for a long time and I always want to stop but I'm always in a rush. Today I was able to stop and I was with my youngest. She had from their seasonal menu; Gingerbread latte and I had their Carolina Beach. My daughter a bakery item and she got their last Chocolate Chocolate muffin. Well it was a hit, she ate it all before I was able to take a picture. The service was quick and super friendly window service! Dropped by this new to-go coffee shop on a Friday morning around 7:00 a.m and did a drive-thru. Their coffee is from Kaldi Gourmet Coffee. Michelle was working during that time and was very friendly. I appreciated the energy she had. But I really don't know how anyone can be that upbeat that early in the morning! I tried the daily special, a 16oz S'mores iced latte with toasted marshmallow cream. It is supposed to come with ice cream and a chocolate dipped cone, but I omitted those (I know, I'm crazy for doing that). She accommodated my request to not make it as sweet. The latte was a nice sweet start to my day. I didn't get to try their Lotus Energy drink, but hopefully I can in the future. It's an interesting drink, plant-based with different ingredients- a 1oz pump contains 80mg natural caffeine for a 6oz serving. It's great that they open super early, which is convenient for early birds. And it is quick since it's to-go/drive-thru. read more

Wow, what a great + friendly + fast service!! My husband discovered this coffee shop while en route to Costco. I was incredulous it would be any good at all. I mean, it's in a trailer right??? But I should know better than to judge a place by its exterior since I love dive bars!! The drink was exactly how I wanted it -- extra hot and full of flavor. All the coffees are on the sweeter side so don't come here if you need something more bracing! But everything tastes "like coffee," aka not so sweet you don't even know coffee is inside. So I missed my opportunity to enjoy the yelp elite event a few weeks ago but decided to check this place out while running errands and I'm glad I did. The two ladies inside of the adorable truck were sweet and welcoming. I asked for a beverage suggestion and was directed towards the "Carolina Beach". A yummy combination of brown sugar, marshmallow and cinnamon it was a perfect fall drink. I did end up getting a double chocolate muffin with my order however it lacked any kind of moisture. I'm not sure if it was because of how it was made or if it was just old but it was dry. Oh well can't win them all! I'll definitely be back in order to try some of the other beverages! read more

A good spot! Their donuts were good, they had a great little library for kids, and they displayed local art. Their service was good and it is an easy and cheerful stop on the way to the freeway. This place is amazing. I originally found out about three friends coffee through the yep event held there! Since then I've already been back three times. It's a little too convenient as I pass by every morning on my way to work. Everything I have tried here was absolutely delicious! So far I've tried: two lotus drinks. Both very different flavors but are so delicious. You get to chose a color and then add a flavor to that. Then you can add coconut milk (Starbucks pink drink vibes), whipped cream, or a sweet or sour gummy. You can get thee blended but so far I've only tried them iced. I think blended would be perfect for an afternoon treat on a hot day. I've also tried two of the bakery items: the pumpkin muffin which was so soft and delicious and the apple danish. Both were amazing. For coffee: I haven't tried anything hot yet as it's been a little warm for hot coffee for me the last couple of days. I have tried the following iced drinks: the Carolina beach, the peach cobbler, the macadamia nut, and the Vermont. Everything was super good. The girls making the drinks can make everything to order with whatever modifications you'd like! They have a couple of different milk options including oat milk which I prefer. So far my favorite coffee drink has been the peach cobbler but there's still a lot more for me to try! I also have briefly spoken with the one of the owners and he was so nice and helpful! He also let us know that if you don't see something you like on the menu the baristas can make you whatever you want off menu. Lots of options there for sure. This place is definitely worth the stop if you need a delicious caffeine fix. I highly recommend the lotus drinks. It's the boost of caffeine you need for the morning while still being light and fruity. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, if you're not sure what to get they'll help you out ! read more

By far my favorite coffee shop in town! They have a great outdoor/indoor area, and if you have children this is the place to go. They have a whole play-area dedicated to kids. I've driven by enough times that I made myself stop this time! A cute little trailer that sits on a side parking lot isn't normally the first place you think of, but it's near to other essential stores that you seem to always be driving by. I decided to park and walk up, but there is a drive through for those who aren't able to get out of their car. I think I would in the future drive through, just because the parking lot isn't very aesthetic... Even though they did make sure to put a small seating area beside the trailer. I could see this area blooming into something cute in the summer. The staff inside were very friendly. Immediately opened the ordering window when I walked up. I knew I was getting coffee and I ended up deciding to get the Wrightsville Beach with Coconut Milk. While looking at the menu, I felt the urge to order a Lotus Drink too, since it does take up almost half of the menu. The barista suggested Pink Peach with some Coconut Milk. Both drinks were splendid, and I'm excited to come back through the drive through. If your deciding on if you should order the Lotus drink, the baristas are super nice to ask recommendations. But if your nervous to ask about it, mine was sweet and lightly fruity with some fun carbonation bubbles. I would suggest it if you want a refreshing pop. read more

This place is so darling! I had the pleasure of dropping by yesterday and I'm still buzzing by how cute and the quality that they offer. I had the opportunity to talk to the owner who is super bubbly and friendly. That she's living out her dream! The trailer is so Instagram worthy! They have chairs outside that allow you to sip on your cup of Joe. Fret not if you are not a coffee drinker as they have that covered with their amazing Lotus drinks. I tried the amazing pumpkin cheesecake latte iced with oat milk. And also had a Lotis drink refresher which is a clean energy drink. It was beautiful and pink (near and dear to my heart) and had a refreshing black berry flavor. It gives you a boost of energy that actually taste delicious! Love that!!I had it topped off with coconut milk which gave the drink a beautiful . They carry a great variety of vegan and gluten-free options. Love that as well! Three Friends Coffee is currently serving a Fall drink menu and the Warm Autumn Chai had me spinning in my room on the first day of Autumn. The pumpkin foam added the perfect yummy touch of relaxation to the drink. I can't wait to try the other drinks on the Fall menu! I had great interactions when they were in the mobile unit but the store front I did not. Way too many little kids. It's almost impossible unless on off times to be able to sit relax and to drink a coffee or work on a laptop. I feel like they went with that vibe for reason. I heard one owner had young children. Also they were selling coffee syrups I guess from their mobile truck days. Got home and a bunch were expired. A couple from two years ago. We decided between the change of approach and the way they handled the syrups we are done with it. I came here today around 3 PM or so. This is not the fault of the establishment, but likely a mom and her kid/kids were obviously playing with the toys. They left quite a mess for the barista to pick up, not just toys but also food all over the table/floor. The barista was efficient but seemed a little distracted (maybe because she had a mess to clean up) and didn't go out of her way to suggest anything. I ended up with a raspberry/white chocolate iced latte which was good. I wish there were other options for food other than bagels and muffins. Lo and behold - Three Friends Coffee! Super-friendly staff, new drinks and things to try (almost) every visit; I simply can't say enough good things about the coffee stand. I almost wish they'd expand to a sit-down, but then I'd risk the secret getting out!
