We recently purchased a BMW X3 from Porsche of Plano. We found the BMW on Auto Trader and quickly contacted Owen S. We asked him to provide us with additional details regarding the car. Since we are in Houston and they are in Plano, it was really critical that he provide us with honest and unbiased feedback, which I'm happy to say he did. When we made the decision to buy the car, we were confident that we were purchasing an excellent vehicle, at a reasonable price. When other folks came in and were interested in the car, he made sure we knew, so we could act quickly to get him our paperwork and seal the deal. In the end, we drove out to Plano, met with Owen, and got the car we wanted. Since it was a trade-in for a Porsche, you can image the amazing condition the car was kept in, so I would highly recommend this place, if not for a Porsche, for the beautiful trade-ins they get. Definitely worth a look! On a side note, Owen checked into getting us trade in value for our Infiniti. It was a 2006 and had 118K miles, but it was in a very good condition and fully loaded. Porsche of Plano was going to give us upward of $9,000, whereas CarMax gave us $10,000. This review is in regards to the service team. I use Jeff in the service department. He has helped me with many issues and all of them have been resolved. I bought a extended warranty on my vehicle that had some fine print in it regarding replacing breaks but not the sensors. This was not their fault, they were as surprised as I was. Jeff did everything in his power to minimize the charge that I was charged as a result of the skimpy wording in the policy. Always clean when my cars are picked up and everything has been fixed correctly. Most recently my car was hit in a parking lot of a grocery store without my knowledge. Jeff has been so kind to help me coordinate are repair with a body shop and them so I do not have to drive all the way out. A+++++ all the way. Their attentiveness and commitment to customer service is a stark contrast to the service department down the road at Maserati that I had been dealing with for several years. Manny got me processed quickly; they were beyond slammed but he hustled and got my car back by the end of the day, complete with a car wash. Having a level of trust with who I hand my car over to is critically important to me, and I can say that this one transaction solidified this as being my new go-to service department moving forward. I did not need a loaner car, but Manny shared that in the future, Porsche could provide one if I gave them a week or so notice prior to booking my future appointments - which was much appreciated. We're trying to decide which car to buy next and wanted to physically see the cars, test drive a couple of models and narrow down our search. Not ready to buy yet, but pretty close to it. Our sales guy, Owen, was AWESOME. We talked about the features between the macan and the cayenne and the different versions and then test drove both. I just walked around the show room floor on the last day of the month and waited for some one to help me or at least say hello and no one spoke to me. I finally just left after about 15-20 minutes of waiting around. Maybe it's because I am young or Black, but they immediately helped the older white couple that walked in 1 minute before me. There were employees standing around talking to each other and still not acknowledging me. I felt disrespected and I will not be spending my money with any Auto Nation dealerships in the future. I pulled in unannounced, in a car I bought somewhere else, and my service adviser, David, went out of his way to help get me in and get my car sorted. This review is for the Porsche Service Department. Brought my car in for a second opinion for handling issues with a car that I just bought, brake squealing issues, and foul smell of oil after driving the car long distances. My Service Advisor, Isaac Madrid, facilitated a test drive with the Shop Foreman during dropoff and provided a status update the following day on the items that would be an additional cost. I had to explicitly ask for status updates on the items that were no charge or no issues found. Perhaps Service Advisors at Auto Nation are paid a commission on work performed outside of warranty - not sure. When I pushed back on some of the work to be performed, my Service Advisor indicated Porsche of Plano would not proceed. Specially, I asked for Porsche of Plano to proceed with performing an alignment (out of cost expense to me for relatively new car to me) but not to proceed with balancing the wheels ($199.00 - rediculous) or top off the fuel. I was told that the alignment would only be performed if Porsche could go fill the car with fuel and charge me their standard fuel rate plus balance the wheels. I requested that Porsche simulate fuel using sandbags which is a common practice to simulate the weight of fuel, the driver, and luggage in the car and hold off on balancing the wheels as this would not impact the quality of the alignment. Isaac's reaction was as if I was asking the Dealer to perform subpar work on my car but infact, using sandbags is a common practice. When I opted out of paying the wheel balancing and fuel surcharge, I was told to come pick my car up. My expectations with the Service department were not met. I expect the company that is hired to perform work on my vehicle to work with me to resolve the issues especially when I am willing to pay for work on a relatively new car to me. The level of service that I received is an indication that I need to find a different Dealer or an Independent mechanic to service my vehicle. Also, when I dropped my car off, Isaac Madrid indicated that my car would be washed but the car was delivered back to me without being washed. Why? read more

Well, it has gotten worse. Went in for an extended warranty service (at 38,000 miles) and they did the job, but failed to tell me that a 4 wheel realignment would be $209 that I had to pay. Also there was a shop charge of $60 and they tried to get me for $338 for a new front left headlight bulb. Luckily they thought I had declined it and didn't do it. Devin originally told me it would be "about $100" to do the headlight. I ordered it online for $71 and did it myself. They also gave me a quote over the phone while they had my car for a 40,000 check up. That was going to run $1900 to change some spark plugs. I said no. They then said that my brakes were getting close to having to be redone. That was $3,000 for all four wheels. Again, I said no. I had them tint the windows and when we got it home, there was a grooved scratch on the front left window. It was in the driver's vision. Took it back and they said that the Panamaras have a tendency to be too tight on the door panels and this leads to scratched window tint. They never told me that ahead of time! So, when I went the next day to pick it up, the subcontracting company had redone the wrong window! I had to wait another day again! This seems like a Micky Mouse operation over there and it has frustrated me so bad that I will NEVER own another Porsche in my life. We traded in the Porsche for a Lexus RC F yesterday. Now when I go to use it for a trade-in, CarFax shows damage on the report. Dealership issued falsified CarFax Report, My purchase decision was based on the report that was provided prior to purchasing the car. My sales rep, JD, was very good but things went downhill when it came to financing my certified pre-owned Porsche I had chosen. I brought my own lender and was surprised to find out they would not use them. They said they would find me another and I said, "only if it is the same or better terms - rate/ months/ etc". After TWO days of waiting for their finance department (I had already given up), they came back with my SAME lender but with a rate 2% higher and a term 12 months longer! Wow, this is illegal. They wanted to change to this structure because of the dealer model so they could get their kick back incentive check from the lender. SHAME ON YOU PORSCHE PLANO - Greedy, wrong and very very disappointing. You wasted about 24 hours of my vacation week and you have lost a potential customer for life. read more

The service guys and staff are very helpful and courteous. I came in for a state inspection which was done promptly and fast. The reason for the lower rating is the car wash aspect. I was told it would take 45 minutes to perform a car wash because there are two cars ahead of mine. I accepted the wait time. It's now been an hour and a half and after sending a guy to check on it, he tells me I am next into the car wash. So in the last 90 minutes they have only washed one and a half cars? That's ridiculous! I have a job to get back to and can't be waiting two hours for a simply state inspection and car wash. Took my Cayenne in for servicing last week. First time at Porsche Plano. Scheduled the service online, which was very convenient and easy. I was scheduled with Isaac Madrid. Although I didn't meet him in the morning drop off (he was working the closing shift) he was very nice and professional over the phone when I talked to him. My car wasn't finished like I thought that day and I didn't have a loaner, which made my work and home schedule a little bit inconvenient. I am still giving a 5 star because Isaac apologized for this and offered a couple of solutions. I chose to have them drive my car to my office the next day and my wife drive me in the morning. The staff was all very accommodating, always asking if I needed a water or soda, or if I needed anything at all to be satisfied. Jeromy Boulet was my salesperson, or "Brand Ambassador." The sales team was good at time prior to sale and especially at sale. However, after driving the new car back to Austin and a week later I was informed that my paperwork had to all be resigned because they incorporated an incorrect VIN on the papers. After numerous calls back and forth with a notary and time away from work, the paperwork was resigned. Now I'm dealing with inaccurate VIN info at the insurance company; increasing my insurance premium. This has been a huge inconvenience. read more

Truly exceptional service and fantastic car buying experience I had bought 5 new cars in Dallas/Plano area in the past 20 years - my 6th, buying a Porsche Macan, from Porsche Plano was the best experience singularly because of David Yoder. We bought our new 2018 Macan in about 4 hours on the first time we stepped in to the dealership on Black Friday - including test drives by my wife and I, agreeing on a price, arranging financing and driving the car out the door. That Porsche does not offer incentives has made David a miracle worker of sorts. David showed us cars with different trims, pros/cons of each and recommended the after market options which we bought. We recently purchase a 2010 Porsche Cayman and felt we should have the oil changed. I called the service department to get an estimate on what it would cost and how soon I could schedule the work. I was able to get the estimate and was told that I could schedule the same day where the work would take 1 - 1.5 hours. The real value in our visit is that the service team stayed around to answer various questions I had about the vehicle. Additionally, I'm always hesitant about walking into a service department for one thing to be done, only to leave with a list of things that need to be done. I'm glad to say my experience was nothing like that. I would've given five stars but it took a bit longer than the 1 - 1.5 hours. read more
