Lovely shop in Swansboro filled with gorgeous wares. Many of the pieces designed by local artists…read moreand craftsmen. The prices range from high to low, so there's something to suit anyone's wallet. There are some cute tea towels, candles, frames, garden stakes and chimes, and also some elegant furniture, unique mirrors and lamps. The owner welcomed me as she was reducing holiday dècor. Pop by this creative space with the massive Swan in the window!

A small but thoughtful shop. Great decor items; both times I've visited I didn't leave empty…read morehanded. Unique items that are both beautiful and useful, and not the same-old selection found at the usual "coastal" Carolina gift shops. Love that they are open until 9pm, a rare find in small town shops it seems (as if no one wants to shop after dinner? I'll never get it). Only two downsides: pricing is a bit all over the map, even for a boutique store. Most items are reasonably priced, but some seem a high ($150 for a pair of salt and pepper shakers) and they don't take American Express. To make the matter worse, after asking me if I had another payment method the clerk told me to "call American Express and let them know their merchant fees are too high" and that a "small business can't afford to take Amex". Talk about poor customer service! This really left me with a sour taste, especially considering that Amex merchant fees are only 1-2% higher than Visa or MasterCard. Going to have to call "BS" that the margins on the products at a boutique decor store don't allow for an additional 1-2% cost. Either way, very unprofessional of the clerk.
