I discovered Pops place on the Uber Eats app. I ordered a sandwich and a salad a week ago and it was excellent. The food is fresh and very tasty. The salad was incredible and I was very satisfied. I ordered again this week and was not disappointed. The soup I wanted was not available so they called to ask if they could replace it with something else which was not a problem. The person that called was very friendly and nice on the phone so I can also comment that their customer service is excellent. New Sandwich spot in town. As soon as I saw it being built I was so excited. Went the other day for lunch and was a BIG fan. Got the Paulie Jr and an order of fries. Great little spot in Somerville. Such a nice addition to have on that end of Main st. also! You have to get the JJ and there cheesesteak. Two great sandwiches. Really fresh and delicious, everything has lots of flavor. Insides atmosphere is great with friendly faces and an open kitchen. Very clean! I'll be back for sure. read more

The sandwich was big, I'll give you that. But one PECSPK and a small bottle of cheap OJ should not cost someone $18. The cashier had no idea what he was doing and the guy running the place was condescending as hell to him, rude to the cooks, just overall had a nasty attitude. They clearly didn't know how to handle a rush and gave a couple people the wrong order. The wait was 15 minutes and listen, I'm Italian and grew up in the highest populated Italian region of this state. If I wanted to watch a grown man yell any catch attitude while immediately flipping into a sweet "You got it boss" tone every time a new customer came in I'd move back to my old neighborhood and get better quality for less cost. read more

Overall not bad, food tasted average and the boars head was a plus. Shop is very small inside with the only seating being outside. No one was in the shop when we ordered but a few people ended up coming while we were waiting for our order. It probably took 20 mins after we ordered to get our cheeseburger and deli sandwich. But be sure to check your bag before you leave, my cheeseburger had no cheese, it also had tomatoes when I specifically said no tomatoes, and the sandwich we ordered had banana peppers instead of bell peppers. Had breakfast with the kids, split and order of pancakes & bacon, a fruit & yogurt parfait and a sausage egg & cheese on a hard roll. All were very yummy. We were greeted within moments of walking in and everyone was was suuuuper nice and welcoming. My teen even commented on how nice everyone was. We ate outsite where they have fenced in picnic tables. I ordered a ham/salami/provolone hero sub, it's my go-to. Meat was piled high, they certainly don't skimp on the cold cuts. I got the brick oven roll, and it was very good. The sandwich itself was a bit expensive, but it is a large sandwich. I barely ate half of it, so I have dinner tonight. My only suggestion would be to offer a 1/2 sandwich combo, with soup or chips. sadly was disappointed. ordered the mozzarella sticks, beef empanadas, and Mac and cheese balls. the mozzarella sticks were okay, but fell apart. didn't taste anything out of the ordinary. The beef empanadas were actually inedible by the amount of grease which was the thing we were most excited for. could only eat one bite because it literally only tasted like grease and oil and was dripping. The Mac and cheese balls were just okay. Wouldn't order again based off these. maybe their breakfast is better? read more

We had catering from Pop's Place for our daughter's 1st birthday. It was quite a large order but everything was ready at the pickup time and so delicious! The guests raved about the food, particularly the sandwiches and potato salad. Steven was so accommodating and easy to communicate any updates or changes. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff was great helping us with the pick up as well. We would definitely order Pop's catering in the future! read more

this place is GREAT, i've been here two times now and i genuinely look forward to the scrumptious eats AND awesome service they have there. i've asked the owner what i could get as a vegetarian and he suggested their fav sandwiches and platters! i ended up getting the mexican omelette bfast platter with white toast & i also asked for a side of hot sauce! this omelette is so filling and made JUST right with the best ingredients. the cheese is always melted perfectly -- i got so lucky finding such a sick place! one thing i'll note is that their potatoes that come with their platters can be a bit on the bulkier side, but i love the flavor they add to it and they throw veggies in there, too! today when i went, the owner gave me a hashbrown on the house and i almost teared up :) they really treat their customers like family, and you can tell their food is made with love give it a try if you wanna start your day off around downtown! or if you're looking for that perfect brunch/lunch spot for just the right price. p.s. Not sure what all the hype is about. I read a post on a community somerville page saying how delicious they're porkroll egg and cheese sandwiches are and now I am out $23 dollars for two which is crazy expensive. First you had a choice of 6 bagels. Odd choices but I'm not in the bagel business so what do I know. . The bagels were good. Nice and soft... that's where any kind of praise ends. The sandwich... what in the actual... on the whole sandwich there was two very thinly sliced pieces of porkroll. Literally could not even taste the pork roll, only the egg and cheese. That's is not a porkroll egg and cheese. I wonder how much I could've saved had I omitted the porkroll since it couldn't be tasted anyways. Once the excitement dies down so will this place. No one is going to continue to pay these prices for less then mediocre food. I stopped by this new spot when they 1st opened up a few weeks ago. Cashier was having issues with register while taking care of another customer so I left but menu looked great. I returned today while on lunch. Cashier was assisting another customer where they inquired about the soup of the day. Cashier says its broccoli cheddar & I'm thinking I'm in luck. I order the soup. I grab the bag & head to work which is 2 blocks down the road. I open the bag & it's according to the person on the phone clam chowder. I ask if it has bacon & they reply no which is a relief but when I mention to the lady the soup is cold she relies "oh yea I just realized it's been on lowest setting since 8 this morning." No request to change my soup, deliver an replacement because this isnt what i wanted or an apology for wasting my time & money. I'm never going back. read more

Drove by Pop's Place several times before it was open, was super excited to see the Open sign on a Saturday early afternoon! Stopped in, everybody there was super friendly and helpful, they gave me a sample of this chocolate bread from Brooklyn that was To Die For. So many choices, it was hard to decide. I settled on the Mia, a fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, arugula, balsamic OMG delicious!! I added on an order of onion rings which were gone before I hit my driveway. where do i begin this was one of the most crazy racist experience, i was driving by my daughter wanted something to eat for breakfast. i seen a sign that says 1 yr anniversary so i stop by to support because im a small business owner myself, so i called in to order (short stack pancakes which prices says $6.00 or so) they said 5-10mins so i go in after a few minutes with my daughter because she wants her food she 3yrs old ,so i go in i wait a few minutes everyone seem kind .now the young lady rings up my pancakes she says $9.87 is my total , i think nothing of it because money is not on my mind just feeding my daughter is ,so this guy says to another young lady that was next to cashier did she ring up short stack or reg platter? the lady looks and said reg and he oh don't matter anyways! (first error in my head) now im leaving i get in the car and prepare my daughter food im cutting the cakes and realize its (3 huge pancakes ) and i just said this not short stack but whatever i give my daughter a piece and she says yuckie yuckie now my daughter eats pancakes 5 times a week and ive never seen her turn down pancakes .so i try a piece an it taste weird,so i go back in an tell the young lady that they over charged me and it taste weird so the young lady to the same guy who knew they over charged me but brushed it over ,and he said taste weird i sold 30 of theses today and no one complained (like i care ) and the racist thing he could say is its aunt jemima pancakes like (wth who asked what brand pancakes you have ) the problem is it taste weird, no what's crazy is the young lady threw the pancakes in the trash , he told her to get it out the trash and ate the same pancakes (disgusting pray he wasn't the owner) after he had the pancake with refunding my money he says i don't eat pancakes but it taste like pancakes smh this place is weird and i will tell everyone i know to stay clear and if the do go check the price because they don't mind over charging people... do better with customer service we make your business run not your attitude!!!!!!! read more
