I wasn't expecting much but we ended up pleasantly surprised. The interior seems similar to other types of walk up counter local restaurants, dated but it works. The lady at the counter was helpful and nice. For the lunch time rush, they got food out pretty quickly and what we ordered was fresh and so good. The French bread was so soft. The fish was plentiful and flavorful. The red beans and rice was comforting and the hush puppies were good as well. We would absolutely return.

They have a kid's menu as well plus lots of ice cream treats. Having been away from the Deep South for far too long I stayed with my daily routine of eating seafood since there is nothing like the seafood from this metro area. I ordered the Shrimp Po-Boy Combo. The sandwich was great! I loved the French Bread too. The shrimp were delicious as were their fries. I couldn't leave without at least an ice cream cone. It was really piled high with creamy soft serve ice cream on a cake cone. Service was good throughout my stay. A lot of folks with kids coming in for ice cream too.

This is such a laid back casual place to grab a bite to eat and the location is awesome. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were so darn good. I really enjoyed the shrimp taco but the catfish taco left a lot of be desired. The clucker sammy was pretty bland but the portion was great. We would absolutely return just to grab a few drinks eat a bunch of fries and enjoy whatever game is on.

What an amazing experience with service, ambience and the exceptional flavors this restaurant…read moreoffers! Truly the biggest gem in Madisonville! We dined here late lunch/early dinner. The decor from street view of the restaurant is welcoming and yet, once you walk inside it gives you the artsy, modern & sophistication to another world. I was pleasantly surprised and admire this take in its art form. We ordered 3 plates to share, Calamari, Cevice Clasico, & Pulpo Anticuchero & a couple Pisco sours. Each dish was plated and cooked perfectly, especially the octopus. Octopus is usually overcooked in most establishments, but not here... it was melt in your mouth outstanding. I honestly can reorder those plates again for the next visit because they are actually that outstanding. They do have a speakeasy (upstairs) open on Friday's and Saturdays which is themed to Scarface and even have a connecting outside front patio lounge to that. Unfortunately they weren't open at the time, as we visited on a Sunday. But we still got a pretty cool tour by our awesome server. Needless to say, this place has won our hearts and we will be back to try more! Note: if all the parking spots are taken in front of the river, there is ample parking right behind the restaurant.

Crazy Pig has an excellent menu for breakfast with lots of different options We went on a Sunday morning I got one of the omelettes I think mine was the lean omelette Everything comes with bread and or biscuit I can't eat bread or biscuit so our waiter offered me avocado and tomatoes, which were a perfect choice to go with my omelette Most restaurant places that I've been to usually just remove the item without offering a substitution I was so happy with the alternate options I spoke with the owner to let her know that I appreciate having the tomato and the avocado instead of the bread and the biscuit. Then she told me that they just had a class on food allergies This is really exceptional that a restaurant is taking up their own initiative to learn about food allergies so that they can service their customers with better care While the food is definitely excellent with the capacity to offer different options for the different dietary needs that people have and the staff is educated, I just wish that they had better coffee at the Mandeville location like a cappuccino or a café latte Still an excellent choice

Friendly service and a relaxed small town ambiance are standard here and tonight we sat near the bar and Jennifer took excellent care of us. Lots of Louisiana favorites on the menus and tonight my wife and I had one of our favs, the fried catfish, which was very tasty. Accompanying salads were also good, although croutons were somewhat stale. I had a refreshing draft brew and my wife had a Bloody Mary, which was a little watery. She mentioned this to staff and her second was primo. Morton's remains one of our local favored spots.

Our server was personable and checked on us often. We were seated immediately! The crawfish did take a while to come to the table, 20-30 minutes, but they were delicious. They were well-seasoned with some spice (which I like). The shrimp and crawfish were a good size and the crawfish had good sized claws as well. The side items were delicious but definitely overpriced for the amount. Overall, a great stop for some local crawfish!
