I want to say that it's location is the worst Popeyes I've been to. No wonder this location has a 2 star rating, it should have a 0 in my opinion. Not only did they mess up the order. They did not believe they did and opened all the boxes and moved the items. They noticed they did mess up and said they would make the missing item in my case I was missing a whole tender order. They took forever to get me the missing item. Not only did they take long and my food was already cold. But they gave me the items all separate and not how they where supposed to come. The worst part is that at the time I get home to eat. The order they missed was rushed and not even cooked well. I ended up throwing away the tenders as they were all undercooked. The worst thing is if I would have eaten them I would have gotten sick for under cooked chicken. As the rest of the reviews on here are true and so is mine. Do your self a favor and avoid this place like the pleg!!!!!! read more

The chicken was too salty for my liking although the service was nice. My experience wasn't that great cause a customer was bitching at me to go inside when there clearly was a maximum amount of people allowed in. Suit yourself if you wanna go inside and mingle with a crowd but don't roll your eyes at me if I want to wait outside to be safe what a dick! read more

I feel awfully sad for the workers of this business. This Popeyes establishment on Reseda and Vanowen glorifies the stigma of cheap and filthy, and bad service to top it all off. To call this business a last resort for food, is an understatement. 9 times out of 10 they will get your order wrong, and don't bother calling them, because they won't answer. My guess is that they leave their phone locked up in the restroom, so that it can ring for no one to hear. Save your money everybody ! read more

WoW really all that fuss for nothing. We waited like 30 min for famous chicken sandwich and got disappointed. Maybe some people never had real good cooked chicken sad. But that was not good at all nothing was good. read more

The worst service of any Popeye's I've been to‼ Grubhub order for pickup left off 2 red velvet deserts. Didn't realize until I was home. Drove back. They say they ran out of red velvet but put 2 apple pies in the order. WRONG There were NO deserts in the bag. Did not resolve. Insisted they put deserts in the bag - LIKE I'M TRYING TO SCAM DESERTS IN AN 8 PIECE ORDER‼ read more

I used to like this place. Just went in Tonight and it was sad to see this place went to crap. Fries thrown in the bottom of the bag and classic sandwich was the driest dough with basically nothing as the breast. No pickles no sauce. The beverage machine looked ancient. Sprite out beware not going back. Thankyou. read more

Been awhile since we've came to this location because of the front end workers who were so awful. During these horrible times of Covid we didn't wish nor want any further negativity so we stopped going to a handful of places who had mean people working for them. Today we were happy to have Maria and Leticia (name?) take care of me and my families orders. You lady's rock!, thank you for your kindness. You owe my grandson a toy for his kids meal. read more

We had Popeyes for the first time tonight. It was delicious. The chicken was moist and not greasy. The packaging was clean. Also had the spicy chicken sandwich. We agree, it is the best. read more

This location needs to improve their services, I went there to get some food I ordered a combo with mashed potatoes and rice. My order wasn't complete they gave only rice and 4 pieces of chicken, with no spoon or forks because I ate in my car. And I asked to the lady who was working there for 1 ranch sauce. She said 25 cents. Why I have to buy the sauces if I'm buying the food this is the worst services I have seen in my life. read more

Garbage. We bought into the hype of the better or best chicken sandwich. All 3 of our sandwiches had no sauce, no pickles, the bread tasted like it had been sitting out a while and the chicken was not crispy.wth. I'm thinking it's the lack of giving a f$*! from this location. #totaldissapointment AND.....they ran out of small lids for the drink so we were forced to pay more to get a large. The cost is minimal but the principal of it sucks big time. You ran out of supplies. Take some responsibility! read more

Employees here are so nice! I'm particular (annoying) about my food and they accommodate me every time like it's no problem. This is the best location ever. read more

First time coming here and I wasn't impressed. The lady taking my order read me my total after every order i gave like she was rushing me out, then it has a big sign saying ebt accepted and my card got declined. I payed with the very little money I had and got my drink. The soda machine was all scratched up and the labels were nearly gone. The fanta had no syrup in it and it was soda water. I get home and eat my food. The chicken sandwich was good, but the fries had no flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted like prison food and when I look back at the fries there is a BUG in it. Highly recommend KFC or chick-fil-a read more

Usually ghetto areas customer service is the worst this Popeyes chicken DID NOT DISAPPOINT the cashier were rude and the food takes forever like omg all you do is chicken how you always take forever for simple orders if I could zero starts I would Learn some manners people read more

This place is always so slow to give food and doesn't pay attention. I ordered online about 15mins before getting there and once i got there and asked for my food they said it wasn't ready yet and I had to wait an extra 20mins. It wasn't even a busy day. Who knows how long my food was ready because when I went to go ask for my food again the girl just turned around and grabbed my food like it was ready for a while already. There's no point to ordering online here you're still going to wait a long time for your food. read more

Always always always check your order because there's is not once that they fuck up my order every time I go here they mess up my order I don't recommend coming here they should shut down I've been there like 12 times and out of those 12 times they fuck up my order they don't check what they are doing I swear man don't come here it's crazy how you can't give me my order right and it's empty there's no reason for you to fuck up my order foreals so don't come tho this Popeyes unless you want them to mess up your order read more

Only been here a few times but when I've gone the food is always given to me warm. Sometimes portions of chicken can be small (the tenders). But once I got an extra piece so that's good haha. Have to ask for sauces or else they won't give you anything. The dining area was mostly clean also when we ate there. Friendly staff. read more

Got myself a moldy sandwich today. Tried calling to let them know but it seems they didn't pay their phone bill this month. Oh well, I guess anyone who got a bun from the same bag as me will eat mold and die a slow terrible death now. I would bring it in to exchange for one that isn't moldy but I don't want to wait in the line. They have very slow service if you didn't alreadyknow. So, what's a man to do but complain. I'll still be back though. This place is mad lit, for real. Regardless of the poor service, terrible inventory management, and complete lack of quality control, Popeye's makes a damn fine sandwich. And besides, Chick-Fil-A is racist. read more

Popeyes is located in an assuming strip mall area. It doesn't look like much, and it sure doesn't taste like much. I ordered the famous chicken sandwich, spicy. It was tasteless, dry. The only chicken sandwich I have ever had that was worse than this one was Chick-Fil-A. Over cooked, lacking in flavor, it was a rubbery texture and was hard to chew. It was extremely salty and hard to digest. I had the red beans and rice and recommend this side dish. I had a very dry discursive. It tasted like it had cooked by fish. I had one chicken breast and it was overbreaded. Terrible. Then they forgot to pack one of our chicken sandwiches and we had to go back. Stay away from this overhyped food! read more

The staff are rude and the inside is dirty with sticky tables. The food taste nothing like I liked about Popeyes. A complete disappointment in every way. read more

Bad service, food is not fresh and what you order is not what you will receive!! They need to improve

Constant disrespect and horrible costumer service they don't put fries in your bag properly being very unsanitary prejudice Nd don't care to run the restaurant properly and then insult your intelligence when you bring it to their attention. Popeyes needs to work on their customer service they are pushing customers away. Disgusting and unsanitary then laughed at me and tried to give me fries in proper pouch after words. read more

I hate this location they gave me a burnt chicken sandwich with no drink and I ordered 2 apple pies and they didn't give me the apple pies that I clearly ordered and they didn't care to call me that item was out of stock and they lied to door dash that I put in a subsistute when I never did they are lazy and don't even have a phone you can call. I hope they close down food is nasty don't even know how to cook food right! Ain't no shame in my game. I am not embarrassed to declare my love for Popeye's! Every now and then, I have a craving for their spicy, moist chicken strips with sweet mustard sauce, a warm biscuit with honey and butter, and their sweet tea... especially that "dirty rice" now known as Cajun rice. With a choice between KFC, Church's, or Popeye's, Popeye's is so many levels better than the other fast food fried chicken spots. One of the very few chain fast food restaurants that I actually crave every now and then. I think people are ashamed of declaring their love for this fried chicken joint because of the current Yelp star rating. It's definitely not In-N-Out with their consistently high Yelp ratings. Convenient, comforting fast food at one of its very best. It's most likely not the best quality ingredients. Not a great choice if you're trying to be healthy (duh!). Their food is so finger lickin', lip smacking delicious. Who goes to a fried chicken restaurant to be healthy? You know what you're getting yourself into. Every now and then doesn't hurt, right? Hits the spot every time I eat it. read more

don't go to the one in reseda. i speak spanish so idc that they don't speak english , but damn these people are stupid and slow. the food takes forever to come out and they don't ever get the orders right , i love popeyes but fuck man 30 min for chicken tenders ? read more

Got home and realized they left out 4 pieces of chicken and two biscuits. Simply asked for the money back on my card and was met with murmuring and dirty looks from what I assumed was the manager (died blonde streaks, red phone sticking out of her back pocket). She proceeded to say nothing to me, while speaking only in Spanish with her associate, and snatched the returned food off the counter and discarded it. Racist vibes. If you don't like black people you should probably work somewhere else. Won't be returning. read more

They don't know how to run this business, they always during rush time customer has to wait 20 minutes!! What a joke!! A lot of people are just walking out because of that. It should be a Yelp axiom that all stars are not created equal. In fact, it's downright Orwellian, because some stars are more equal than others. There are stars for objective quality. Then there are stars for quality for the price. Then there are stars for how well the place does what it tries to do. Stars, stars, stars. I'd normally not go anywhere near Popeyes. And the increase in price of the 99 cent special to 1.29 is hefty on a percentage basis. But a thigh and a leg at that price on Tuesdays? With pretty swift service and ample parking? Man, if I'm anywhere near the corner of Reseda Boulevard and Van Owen on a Tuesday, I'm coming in. Skip everything else. Get the special. Stop in at the nearby Big Lots to buy a couple of inexpensive quarts of oil for your car. Feel virtuous. And don't worry about the calories. You won't be back for a month. Just enjoy. read more

Ok,, this is not even close to being a simple "fool me once" review... Rather, this is a fool me for the "ump-teenth" and final time! I have been a fan of Popeyes for years now, but definitely NOT a fan of this specific location! The ONLY reason my wife and I have continued to come to this location is because it's the closest Popeyes to our current home. But even that is no longer enough reason for us to ever come back to this location ever again! For starters, maybe out of like the twelve or thirteen visits we have paid to this location over the past few years, they have NEVER ONCE given us our correct order! NOT ONCE!! Order mild chicken, we get spicy... Order tenders, we get mixed chicken... Try to order our favorite sides through the years, 9 out of 10 times they say they are sold out... Ask for your fav sauce when you order, it won't be in your bag with your food... ask politely again for that missing sauce, they will hand you ONE... You can spend $40+ to order food for your whole family, and they will likely give you TWO of your favorite sauces, but likely only after you end up asking for it a couple of times... And that's just the food! The staff ... The staff at this location are some of THE MOST RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL people I have ever come across in a restaurant service environment!!! My wife and I have encountered a cashier, literally chewing a sauce packet -- in her mouth,, while attempting to speak to us and take our order... I can't make this stuff up!! We have NEVER met a single staff member that has any hint of good customer service skills at this location! They talk amongst each other, ignoring customers rather than to greet or welcome customers... You won't even catch a smile from anyone in this location, let alone a "Thank you"... I can't fathom that this would be a corporate run Popeyes, but more likely a chain owned location from owners that obviously don't care about their business or the reputation of the brand that they are tarnishing... The absolute best summary of this Popeyes location is this: This location is utter trash and they don't deserve a dime of any patron's hard-earned money. My advice: Try literally ANY other Popeyes location if you are looking for some Popeyes to satisfy your cravings... And if you experience anything like what I've shared with any other Popeyes locations,, then maybe it's just time to move on and to choose something much better than Popeyes... We all deserve much better read more

The chicken sandwich didn't disappoint, I was pleasantly surprised! From pictures on twitter I expected it to be dry and flavorless, but it comes with sauce and pickles plus i got a side of mashed potatoes to spread on the sandwich and it was SO GOOD! We waited maybe 15 minutes because we came around 11am, but wait times get a lot longer towards the night, but I understand. Imagine working somewhere and overnight a new menu item blows up online and now the service workers have to work 10x as hard and deal with frustrating customers that don't understand working in food service. Kudos to popeyes workers!!!! Keep working hard! :-) read more

Oh, Popeye's. How I secretly (or not so secretly anymore) love you. I might have given you five stars, but I had to negate a star for the way you make me feel once I'm done scarfing down your food. I grew up on Darby and this was always my go to spot as a kid they would always satisfy my cravings. Fast forward 10 years to 2022, this place is a hell hole. Y'all gota get all type of management and district support to get this place together. Why y'all so stingy with the ketchup like damn i'm really bouta get 5 packets for 2 large orders of fries? Anywho my order was completely wrong regardless and I pulled up and the older hispanic lady was up front just shouting and cussing at the guys in the back just being a total distraction to them. I think her name starts with a P. She only gave my family 2 plates when there was clearly 4 of us, so I had to get up myself to get the rest of the plates. Ridiculous.
