I was here mid-day on a week day. The food was hot and good, even when I arrived at my destination to eat it. Tried the newsworthy chicken sandwich. Decent though I find Chick-Fil-A's to be better. $3.99 without sides--good value. No price for five wings without sides. They charged me $5. Didn't think that was as good. I have had Pop Eyes wings at other locations at better value. Overall, I find this a decent Pop Eyes. Would grab something quick from here again. read more

Shame on this Popeyes location for taking advantage of young teenagers! Mathis is the second time this has happened when my daughter came to the mall. She ordered a kids chicken finger meal and they charged her $16.52, even on the receipt upgrading her fries to a large for an additional $2.70 which she never asked for. These kids don't know any better and she just paid for it. This is the second time this has happened to my daughter at this location! read more

Despite the negative reviews for this place, I decided to grab some food here after a long day of shopping! The chicken was hot, juicy and DELICIOUS! The fries were crispy and the biscuit was fresh and buttery- just how I like it! The guy that took my order was very nice and fulfilled my special request with a big smile! I found that the prices here are a little bit more than other locations, but I guess it's because of the location. This Popeyes is apart of the food court at Willowbrook Mall, and sits right across from Starbucks. The eating area is disgusting unfortunately. I found the tables and floors to be sticky, and there was a significant amount of trash on the floor. I understand this mall is busy, but it's still no excuse! read more

I have read a lot of the negative reviews for this location and was very skeptical on trying it. They don't have any specials offered but if you go on their website there were two coupons for this location. I only ever order the tenders and this is the 4th time ever having Popeyes chicken. The tenders here were just as good as I have tasted at the other two locations I visited (Dover and Rockaway, NJ). I am a very picky chicken eater and if there is ever anything I don't care for I will not eat chicken for months following an icky experience. My food was hot and served quickly. The biscuit was freshly baked and tasty. The Buttermilk ranch dip was kept refrigerated and was cold which complimented the Bold BBQ sauce. The service was fine and all employees met my expectations with requests for sauces etc. it was 2:37 pm on a Monday afternoon , not sure if that makes a difference or not. Very unprofessional. Ordered on mobile app which should have order ready when you arrive. Ok I understand not make orders until the person arrives like other fast food place. After standing at pick up for 5 mins and the order numbers kept climbing I got the managers / cashiers attention. Told her I was order 32 she said it being made with out looking for the receipt. I waited another 10 mins and asked he again about my number she repeated its being made. About 5 more minutes go by and the person bagging asks what number I was. By now they are 20 orders past mine. The bagger went to talk to the cashier after not finding the order slip. The cashier had the slip under the register handed it the bagger. Do not go to this popeyes they are clueless on how to run a business and the manger should be fired or demoted to buttering the biscuits. read more

Service was good. Food was hot and delicious. The only negative is the menu both on line and in person. Does not have a good description of what is contained. ie. 8 piece box, biscuits? size fry? On-line unable to order only wings or only legs. There is no customization. This would make ordering much easier. read more

The manager here is dismissive & has a bad attitude. After biting into my friends spicy chicken sandwich a week ago I decided to order my own for the first time. Well, it was so incredibly salty I couldn't go past that initial bite. I passed it on to 2 veteran Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich eaters and they both spit it out. I tried to tell the manager but she debated it with me. Then proceeds to hand me another with the sauce on the side. I took a taste of the sauce and told her that that batch of sauce was not correct and that my friends vouched that it didn't taste how it was supposed to. And that it tasted like I was sucking on pure salt. She said "oh ok" and I left with a piece of chicken on dry bread and my money lost. I will NOT patronize this place again. Their food is good. I won't order the chicken sandwich from them anymore though. Twice instead of giving me a whole chicken patty, they threw in chicken tenders and they were too thin and cruchy for the sandwich. There was more crunch then chicken. That is why I took off one star. read more

We usually take out from Popeye's on Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne, NJ. The last 3 times they forgot to include one of the sides we ordered with our combos. I sent feedback to Popeyes corporate and received an answer within 2 days, apologizing . But they are TOO CHEAP to reimburse or offer me free side to cover their error. Always great chicken here. Great for franchise food... The other thing is if your eating with a crew, print out coupons from the website.

I wanted 3 orders with 3 fries and 3 soda and they gave me 2 orders with 1 fries and 2 soda. So I went back and told that to them. And they said we have to charge you again and it was okay so I said that's okay charge it but I want a receipt. The workers refused to give me a receipt but they charged me again so I was calling for manager because as a custormer I have the right to get a receipt, yet they called security guards because I was yelling at those deaf dumbasses. The Manager Jorge Mendez was a rude unpleasant individual who does not know the first thing about customer service. His attitude is unprofessional. He is lazy and did not resolve an issue the way a manager should. The title of Manager went to his head. Corporate needs to speak with him & explain to him the role of a Manager. His interpersonal skills & poor attitude toward customers should be addressed. Hopefully he will go through the necessary training to address his lack of customer service. Jorge needs a class in etiquette & how to work in the food & beverage industry. This was my third time coming here and I'll say this, The chicken was dry, not fresh , and extremely HARD! I always tell my self that I won't be coming back to this place again after being disappointed my second time, but the third time I came here today and decided to give it a chance I wish I would've spent my money else where. When you order food and the manager, Jorge, is unprofessional. As a food establishment, it is your job to service the customer. But if there is a shortage of food, it is your responsibility to be courteous when relaying the information. It is NOT common knowledge what food is NOT available. Never again. I came once before and the food was not good. The chicken was cold and the rice and bean tasted bland. The person with me complained about her meal as well. I gave it another shot and bought the fish with corn and mac & cheese. A $7.49 meal as advertised on the menu but I was charged $7.99. It's the principle not the money. Then the cashier says it comes with one side so I said ok only the corn on the cob. He charged me $1.00 for the extra side. I asked for 2 waters and was charged for one so that was for the extra side I was charged for that I didn't want. It doesn't end there. The fish was over breaded and over cooked. You almost couldn't find the fish. The mac and cheese tasted as if it was made with water and no cheese. It was unbelievably bland and watery. The only thing worth eating was the biscuit and the corn on the cob. Make sure to add salt to the corn and butter to both for better flavor. Good luck to the people that eat there. read more

Just as expensive it can get, Popeyes prices keep going up (mind the fact that gas is going down) Order Spicy and what you get is a chicken with some flavors, not spicy at all (what happened with the 12 hours of seasoning they advertise?) The employees are rude. And don't ask for any other extra sauce because you have to pay $0.25 for each,this is ridiculous! normally order spicy chicken breasts. Went to the Wayne NJ Popey's and placed an order for 2 piece dinner with the breast upgrade (spicy). Got mild instead. Checked with the counter man and was told the mild was fresher. Told him i wanted spicy as ordered and got 1 spicy and counter man slipped in 1 mild. I was not given the option to cancel the order.
