Well, I hopped on that spicy chicken sandwich SO fast. With all the hype in the US, you know I had to try. I love me a spicy chicken sandwich. My bf picked me up a combo for lunch about 30 mins after opening on a weekday. There aren't any ridiculously long lines like in the states. He said there was one person in line ahead of him then 4 more came in after him. All ordering the same spicy chicken sandwich lol. Initial reaction biting into the sandwich was just okay.... I needed to get more into the middle of the sandwich to get more sauce and pickles. The chicken itself was nice. Very crispy, not oily. Tasted and looked like a quality piece of chicken. Oh and it was huge! The bun was amazing. So soft, basically melts in your mouth. I felt like I needed more sauce tho. Maybe if they tossed the chicken in sauce? I do prefer the chick fil a deluxe spicy chicken. So that's my say on that. I feel like the addition of tomatoes and lettuce is why I prefer chick fil a's. However, Popeyes' sandwich doesn't suck, but it is not wait in line good. I also recommend going early because I had a friend complain her chicken was too oily and she got hers later in the day. Mine was super fresh and delicious. I think it's worth the try if you're curious. You can make your own judgement. There's nothing negative to say about this establishment. It's fried chicken that's crispy, spicy and incredibly flavorful. The biscuits are buttery soft and always served piping hot. The contrast of the coleslaw with the incredibly moist chicken is phenomenal. The fries have a nice kick to it, but I will admit it's the weakest part of the meal for me. I do enjoy the corn on the cob and it's my boyfriend's favorite side. I've honestly never had a bad meal from them. I can order in person and it's fresh and piping hot, I can order from skip the dishes and it's still delivered fresh and piping hot. Their food quality is consistently good and you can tell that they take pride in what they serve you. I will admit that sometimes the oil level is a bit much... but that's very rare. read more

I came here with my brother, staving. We came in around noon so there was a slight lunch rush. The cashier was friendly and was able to all questions during my order. Including if I wanted mild or spicy, which generally I would have to request at other Popeyes. Tables were kept clean. I got the two piece combo with coleslaw. Popeyes restaurants in general are very inconsistent. This one in particular is fantastic and is consistent in regards to service and food quality. There spicy chicken sandwiches are what I usually order and never dissapoint. There fried chicken is fresh because of the many customers they do recieve! The only negative aspect about this popeyes is that there is a huge line most days, especially Wednesday! The food is worth the wait and I love this popeyes! Popeyes has recently increased there prices so a combo on a regular day would cost around 8.80 depending on what you order! They also give spicy mayo on the side if you buy it and this is the only popeyes I know which does this! Overall, great popeyes :) read more

As soon as you enter the store u get a delicious smell of fried chicken. The food is very delicious and customer service is great. They have daily specials which I love but my favorite is Wednesday because they have there chicken burger for less then $5 and with only a $1.25 drink and frise added it's something reach over too. I will never go to Popeyes again. First of all I went on a Tuesday which was supposed to be their 2 piece chicken for $3.29. Knowing it was for just the chicken I opted for 2 meals to go and the prices ended up coming near $20.00 which I was totally shocked for. At that price I could've gotten way better food. However, I bought it anyways. When I got home I started eating one of the meals took a bite of one of the thigh pieces and I see the most red meat I've ever seen in my life. I've already reached out to the facebook page but I didn't get a response so here's my experience. Yesterday, I decided to dine at the Popeyes chicken restaurant located in the Bramalea City Centre in Brampton.I had ordered a 6pc chicken wing meal and upon receiving the food and taking a bite, I noticed that the texture of the chicken was extremely slimy, chewy and bloody. I suspected that the chicken was under cooked so I approached an employee behind the counter and asked if the chicken looked cooked. They proceeded to explain that the color was from the spicy seasoning used for the wings and that the chicken was fine. I was still unsure so they offered to make another batch for me. I appreciated the fact that they offered me a new batch but the serious issue is serving customers uncooked chicken and proceeding to spread false information. I explained what had happened to some close friends and they noted that they had also experienced some form of food poisoning from the same location in the past. I'm sure that everyone is very aware that serving raw/under cooked chicken is a very serious issue. It's a serious danger to people's health, including mine. It's Friday at 5pm and I walk in to order a family pack and they tell me it is 15 minutes to wait for chicken. What?!?! Your name is Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits and you don't have chicken ready? But fine... I can't expect them to know I was coming in for a family meal on a Friday evening so I wait. 15 minutes turns into 20 minutes. I have to hear all about the plans that each employee has for the weekend and who went skiing at Blue Mountain for Family Day. Oh and the young lady with the head scarf... My husband opens the packages looking for the biscuits because my daughter is bawling her head off for some darn crack biscuits and surprise surprise... No biscuits. So I had to wait on chicken, I get no biscuits but they did give me their version of poutine which looked like someone already ate it and threw it back up in the container. The service here is terrible. I only go back because it is the closest one and my child needs biscuits once a month or she turns into the Hulk 'Hulk Smash!' #nojoke.
